Hey all! I have over the last few months got plucky working on my PC and Laptop, and am ready to take the plunge on my phone as well. I likely need a new one anyway, as I’ve had this iPhone for a few years now and the battery is pretty shot, but wondering if anyone has experience with plucky on android, are you there any phones it works better/worse with? Bascially I have multiple applications that I can't use properly or directly can't use because of Plucky. Especicially right now I can't even enter Epic Games launcher, absolut requirement to install Unreal Engine, tool I need to use for my job. Steam also has problem when playing online with friends and entering the application browser. I techincally have the basic config and I only need plucky to block sites on browser, not my pc applications. I also can't even use discord app, I have multiple contacts there both friends and job related, can use the browser one but its way worse... Any idea?

There is a new Plucky update, the first one in 27 months. There are are no release notes provided for this update.

Has anyone successfully updated? If so, have you found it to be stable, free of quirks and bugs?

I downloaded pluckeye/plucky like a week ago, i tried it - was working fine. But today when i checked the extension is just no longer supported?

Gemini says its due to manifest V3 but im not sure about brave.

Also as attached, can't access the forum even though i have plucky installed ( now removed from browser )

Whats the issue and is it fixable? I really like this tool. Gemini suggested to download firefox, but is there any way to use it in brave?

i also uninstalled it using pluck uninstall and the program is deleted i think

I'm currently using a Pixel 9, but I'm planning to switch to either the Oppo Find X9 Ultra or the vivo X300 Ultra.

The only thing holding me back is that my company requires an MDM app called Andos, developed by Plucky Eye.

Before I buy either phone, I'd like to know if anyone has experience using Andos on these Chinese flagship devices (ColorOS China or OriginOS).

I'm particularly interested in knowing:

Does Andos install and enroll successfully?

Does it work without any major issues?

Are there any problems with Device Administrator/Android Enterprise (Work Profile), notifications, or background restrictions?

If you've used it, which phone and software version were you using?

I'm currently writing a JavaScript Tampermonkey userscript that connects to the DeepSeek API (https://api.deepseek.com/chat/completions).

Here is my dilemma: I use AI for two things – actual, productive work (like coding help) and complete procrastination / wasting time asking random, stupid questions just "for fun."

I desperately want to cut out the time-wasting part, but I need to keep the productive part active.

If I block the API endpoint entirely (using tools like Pluckeye), I lose a vital tool for my work. If I leave it open, I inevitably end up slacking off and chatting with the AI about nonsense. Has anyone dealt with this specific paradox? How do you add friction to the "entertainment" aspect of an LLM API without breaking your actual workflow?

On a side note regarding Pluckeye: I want to open more cases/questions on the website, but I am not a supporter and I don't want to sign up for a recurring monthly subscription.

Can I make a one-time donation of around $10 to get access to 10 more questions? Also, does the system support low-fee cryptocurrencies (like Litecoin or Bitcoin via the Lightning Network) to avoid high layer-1 BTC transaction fees for such a small amount?

The Core Problem

Status: Installer fails at the final bootstrap/download stage.

The installer (plucky-1.17.39.exe) runs as Admin, reaches nearly 95% on the progress bar, and then fails with:

• "Failed to download"
• "Failed to install: 1"
• Result: The installation rolls back, and no Plucky files are left in C:\Program Files.

Troubleshooting Already Attempted

• Network:
  • Switched dns to Google (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4).
  • Verified main site (getplucky.net) and petertodd.org are accessible.
  • Checked Resource Monitor: The installer shows zero network activity during the "downloading" phase, suggesting it fails before the request is even sent.
• Security:
  • Windows Defender and Firewall completely disabled during installation.
  • Ran installer as Administrator.
• tls/ssl Registry Hacks:
  • Verified tls 1.2 and 1.3 are enabled in Internet Options.
  • Added DefaultSecureProtocols (0xA00) to [...]\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\WinHttp.
• Compatibility:
  • Attempted running installer in Windows 7 and Windows 8 compatibility modes.
• Logs:
  • Attempted to check pluck.log.tmp in the Temp directory. The file is created but remains 0 bytes (empty), indicating the process crashes before it can write to the log.

Questions

1. Is there a "Full/Offline" installer (msi or exe) that includes the core binaries so the installer doesn't need to "bootstrap" from the server?
2. Does Version 1.16.13 (Samwise) use a different installation method that might bypass this "Failed to install: 1" error?
3. Are there specific Windows dependencies (like a specific .net version or C++ Redistributable) that the 1.17.x installer requires but doesn't check for?
4. If I can get the files from a Virtual Machine, what are the exact sc create commands and Registry keys required to manually register the Plucky device driver on Windows 10?

The pluckeye browser is not working on a lot of sites and is really buggy, just wondering are their any updates or ways to request to developer to work on the browser. It is my only way to access internet on my android, can anyone suggest any alternatives they are using as well. Thanks

Hey, looking to block gaming applications (Steam, specific game .exe files) on a fixed schedule allowed only between 9pm and 12am, blocked the rest of the day.

Using Windows 11. Want the restrictions to be delay-protected so I can't impulsively override them (ADHD person).

Is this doable through the pluck command line? If someone can guide me on this, it will be huge help.

I'm trying to download pluckeye but it is not working. When I hit download, it takes me to this page.

Just curious if anyone else has had this issue, can't even get into a loading screen. Haven't had any issues with other games unless they use battlEYE as anti-cheat. Nothing specific to arc comes up blocked when I check out the verdicts either

I just downloaded pluckeye into brave and immediately deleted it. Now all my tabs have changed to "plucky is warming up..."

Im wondering if respondus lockdown browser isnt working because pluckeye is blocking it.

I don't think there's anyway to do this in pluckeye currently. But it should be technically possible to implement (and not so hard I imagine?). It works on cold turkey.

Im not able to access any of the Pluckeye related webpages. Im able to access all other webpages without any issue. Is it just for me or anyone else is facing this issue?
