Venus retrograde wedding?
Thoughts on getting married in October when there’s both a Mercury and Venus retrograde!?

I shouldn’t have to say this, but:
If I get word about you trying to promote or sell your impressively bad talismans, or if I see your stupid shitty business links here, you will be gonezo and I will dance upon your ban. Fuck you. You know who you are. Don’t do it. Or actually, do—the loss of your ignorance will contribute greatly here.
This is a place of learning and sharing ideas, knowledge, and experiences.
If you see this shit, report it, I will take care of it.
Good day

This is EXTREMELY basic, but I wanted to post something for anyone who pops in that may be new. If you want to work with one of the spirits of the planets, or energies, whatever you want to call them, it's first important to know about the significations of that planet and what they rule. You wouldn't petition Saturn for money usually. Likewise you wouldn't petition Mars for childbirth or something usually. See what I mean?
Next, understand planetary dignity. No matter what anybody says, YES, this does matter. I use Brennan's as a reference because he has Egyptian bounds and Chaldean decans. https://i.imgur.com/PYFI3Kd.jpg FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH THIS.
Third, house system and houses. Idc what house system you use, this isn't the place to argue superiority of one system over another. Just pick one and stick with it. Also, houses can be GOOD or BAD. We usually try to put elected planets on the angles of the 1st or 10th since they're the strongest points.
The order of strength goes something like (I don't think this is entirely correct but trying from memory):
1 10 7 4 11 5 9 3 2 8 6 12
Get Deb's Temples of the Sky book for house matters.
Rules of thumb:
Keep evil planets out of the angles and not aspecting the elected planet, while putting the good planets in the angles and aspecting the elected planet. You don't HAVE to do this but it helps.
Make the Moon as good as you can and applying from a good spot to the elected planet.
Again, Unless you have some specific business with the malefics normally you're going to want to keep them out of your business as much as possible. Put them in weak houses and away from being angular or seeing the Moon or the planet in question.
Study the planetary days and hours. Though some of my best elections were done on NOT the same planetary day or hour of the planet in question.
Just pay attention to the seven planets, the nodes, and Fortuna. That's all you really need. I promise.
Um...yeah.

Since some talismans live much longer than the bearer, I wonder if these can be transferred to someone else. It would be kind of a waste for them to live so long and not being able to help others.

I’ve seen naksh (waqf) (awfāq) look like 3x3 grids, 4x4, 6x6 etc.
How do they work in sihr? The ones that are only written in grid. No names of spirits, no invocations no oaths?

I'm a person that currently suffers from dissociation (feeling like nothing is real) and anxiety, mind you I've never done an astrological work myself and seeking for a way out.
I'm simply asking what's a better option for me? For mental health I'm guessing working with the sun and Christopher Warnock seems to be my best option as for now, simply buying a talismán (although expensive) would be really effective and I could consecrate more easily, however if what I need is the moon's help then I need the talisman, as I can't wait for the moon to enter a good election date, that's why I'm probably using the sun as soon as it's Leo time.
However considering my budget and the practicality I'm might try to suck it up, but the book (Secrets of planetary magic? and materials, do the sun ritual mentioned un that book and that'd be it, assuming the sun is my best option obviously, my election chart would be August 2nd at sunday's down, as the moon and Saturn don't seem to intervene and the sun will have tremendous power, I'm asking all of this because I'm actually a beginner, it's nota complicated operation at all but hey it's always better to be sure.
In short I'm asking what would be better for my mental health and my symptoms? Straight up but a talisman or try making it myself?

I’m thinking about experimenting with a paper sun talisman. I thought it would be nice to do it when the sun in domicile conjunction Jupiter, chart ruler mars is not bad in Gemini, but it’s in the 8th and squaring Venus - I’m not sure it’s a deal breaker. Full moon could be appropriate since the goal is getting help with increasing success, visibility, wealth… what do you think?

Would it be okay to use this book for creating talisman? I’ve been kinda reading it a few times, and if I would decide to for example create a talisman using this method what should I look out for? Besides retrograde, how can I ensure I don’t accidentally create a curse talisman? 😅
Also does the planet it’s aspects have influence on invocations/ evocations for planetary spirits etc?
Sorry kind of a noob

Hi :) I would love the advice of those of you who are seasoned in Solomonic magic specifically, but those of you who do other types of high magic are welcome to share input as well!
For the past year on and off I've been studying Solomonic magic, specifically planetary magic and the Pentacles of Solomon. I have experience in Hoodoo specific to Louisiana, I am a Santa Muerte devotee, and I also consider myself to be a folk Catholic/Baptist background. I'm used to working with the Psalms, saints, and spirits in a much more intuitive way, and ceremonial magic is very new to me. Not that Hoodoo and folk Christian faiths doing have their own rituals, etiquette, systems, guidelines, etc., this is just a system of magic that is new to me.
I've been watching [Balthazar](https://www.youtube.com/@blthzr9401) on YouTube, and I like his approach to combining folk magic with Solomonic magic. I've been doing research online, watching other youtubers like Dr. Justin Sledge's *Esoterica*, Dr. Angela Puca's *Angela's Symposium*, and reading Sara L. Mastros', *The Sorcery of Solomon,* on and off the past year.
I'm learning a lot, but this shit is a little overwhelming 😄
I particularly have been feeling called to work with the angelic forces of Jupiter, a ritual based off of [this.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvX2c5ctY2I&t=1s)
However, I want to also make sure I'm doing things correctly. I have limited space. I share a small house with my partner, we have a small office where my Santa Muerte altar us located, and I can clean and dedicate an small area for ritual work, but not permanently, its a room that is used by the both us daily.
Some questions I have:
* How important is the ritual space itself? Could I do this kind of work in a small, shared space, but have an designated area I could do my ritual?
* Can you create temporary (planetary) altars, or should they remain set up permanently?
* The ritual in the video requires a 7 day candle. In my regular practice, if I needed to blow the candle and relight later, I would take a moment to pray and get the energy moving again after relighting. Working the planetary seals requires working within certain days and hours. If I had to blow out my candle for fire safety, would I have to relight at a certain hour?
I appreciate any feedback yall have :)
TL;DR: New to Solomonic planetary magic and working with the planetary pentacles. I have limited space and would like to know how experienced practitioners handle temporary altars, shared ritual spaces, and ongoing relationships with planetary angels/intelligences.

I have been practicing astrology for about a decade, but only recently influenced to try my hand at planetary magic and spell work due to a big crush I can’t seem to shake. I shared a similar post in [r/Spells](r/Spells) but also wondered if folks in this sub might have some feedback or insight especially regarding the astrology I employed.
Yesterday (Wednesday/Mercury Day) when Venus and the Moon were at 29° of a firesign (Leo and Aries respectively) I attempted my first “sweetening jar”. Just noting my natal Jupiter is also at the anaretic degree/in a firesign so it seemed suitable as it was trining 😊 I also love Hermes as a Virgo Rising!
First I anointed some oil with rose oil and a small peridot chip to represent Leo Venus.
The sweetener jar was mostly filled with white sugar, but I included a teaspoon of honey for longevity, 12 shakes of cinnamon and a pinch of pink salt, as well as the rose oil. I also added rosequartz, another peridot chip, garnet, a rhodochrosite chip. I covered 2 paper “petitions” (a short note and a printed and marked up photo) with this mixture.
I finished with the Orpheus Hymn to Mercury during the final moments of Mercury planetary hour, and by dripping 12 dots of red candle wax on the lid of the jar (i wrote the glyphs for Venus trine Moon, and Mercury RX on the lid as well)
Thanks for reading. Would love to hear any insight you might have to performing spell work with the anaretic degree.

As a rule of thumb in Picatrix, if a planet is strong in your natal chart you will get the most benefits out of that planetary talisman. Getting talismans for a planet afflicted in natal chart can have unintended consequences.
Based on this tradition, how to determine if a lunar mansion talisman is right for me? I personally have moon dignified in my natal chart. Does it mean lunar mansion talismans would be potent for me?

The photo attached shows a number of Elections that need to be considered when crafting a particular talisman. Is there a website where I can plug in these parameters and it'll give me the optimal time and date?

Like in Planetary Magick there’s an Hour for the Start of Night, the same is true for the Planetary Hour that starts the Day
Tuesday Starts in the Mar Hour and Ends in the hour of Saturn or another planetary Hours.
So any one in Favour of Saturnight or Monight or does anyone have better names?

Bronze is an alloy of mostly Copper and Tin. But does it possess any qualities of the two benefic planets? I've been asking myself this for a couple of days with limited results, maybe some of you something about this.

I've worked with Algol for several years with great results. I'm curious though, what happens when a person who struggles with honesty, slight manipulation, substance abuse etc. works with Algol? I'm referring to those who may be good people, have good intentions towards others etc. but who struggle with these qualities at times.

Here's what I mean:
Suppose a planet rules both a benefic house and a malefic house in the natal chart, and you want to wear that planet's gemstone. Is it possible to neutralize the effects of the malefic house?
In other words, could wearing the planet's gemstone while also worshipping its graha/planet/god through mantras/orphyc himns and offerings mitigate the negative effects, allowing you to enhance the positive ones without amplifying the negative ones?
