Turned my head and was face to face with a gnome

First time growing- friend gave me these 'peppers' as tiny plants with no label. But ive also got bell peppers growing which look completely different.

So what are these? They're much smaller and oddly shaped.

Im excited whatever they are!

The banana peppers in particular are SO happy, now what do you do with them? I tried a new brine today with sugar, but must wait a week or two to

Grown from the SDCF polytunnel mix 2. Trying to work out what it’s like

Somehow lost the tag for these guys and have forgotten what they are.

My first fruit bearing plant. I was having an issue with ants farming aphids on it. My boyfriend said I could spray the plant with soap+water to get rid of the pest issue. I was not aware that the soap could cause the leaves to get sunburned 😭

This was from a pack of white inferno seeds but obviously isn’t that.. Any ideas what this is?
Dark purple stem, purple leaves, white flowers.. green/purple peppers..

It seems like they are just gonna stay this color? It’s been a month and they haven’t changed a shade. I can’t tell when they’ll be ready

I have 2 California wonder pepper plants. They're each in 5 gallon buckets with black gold potting mix.

A few weeks ago, a pepper started growing on them. I got mixed results for whether I should have cut them off to let the plants grow taller first since they're only about 15 inches tall or so. The consensus seemed to be to leave them so I did.

Each plant now only has like 1 decent sized pepper growing. One of the plants had a few tiny ones starting to grow, but those haven't gotten any bigger. It's like the plants are putting all of their energy into 1 pepper.

Was it a mistake to leave them on the plant? What should I do?

This is my first season growing anything in my life lol. Do I have a virus? Or is this not a big deal?

These are two thick-walled, sweet peppers that I grew for the first time this year, Lesya and Ajvarski. Today is 21 July and the harvest is in full swing. The first ones got red over a month ago, middle of June. NE Texas. Growing in 10-gallon grow bags outdoors, back yard.

You can easily cook with these and I did make one batch of a Serbian dish in which they are roasted and blended with roast eggplant (Ajvar.) But the flesh of these is so sweet and juicy, that frankly I enjoy them more just raw. Lately I've been using them quartered to scoop up hummus as a snack.

They have not been difficult to grow. Only problem I've run into is that they tend to get sunscald pretty easily, maybe because of their "big shoulders" shape. Some years I grow all peppers under 35% shade cloth, but this year I didn't and they are fully exposed to the sun. (Probably would be better with the shade cloth at this time of year. Less heat stress.) No pests, no diseases.

Cut peppers: The Lesya is on the right. Neither is excessively seedy, but I still scoop them out and compost them instead of eating. It's a texture issue more than a flavor issue. They are not bitter or hot.

Both are recommended. Both have lots more flavor than ordinary bell peppers and are easier to grow. I will plant both of them again next year.

Mariachi on the left and Gypsy on the right. There's lots of peppers on both plants and I've never tried either at this stage. I'm right on the edge of 3b/4a and we were worried we got them in the ground too late (we're snowbirds and didn't get up to WI until mid-June).

Honestly, I have no idea what I'm doing, just hoping for the best. I'll follow up with pics of the rest of the garden (to include several other peppers) if anyone is interested.

In the pictures, it looks far more orange than this. It's been this color around a week.

Any tips on how to be a regular Peter Piper?

I know this question might sound stupid but I'm clutching here.

I went to water my greenhouse plants last night to find that a pepper plant had snapped at the base due to being unsupported and laden with peppers ( my own stupid fault)

What I was wondering was if I put the stem into water and removed any flower and underdeveloped peppers could the plant still ripen some of the larger green peppers?

Any advice welcome , obviously I will stake all remaining plants

They look a little cursed and feel leathery. It's been a tough growing season for them as it's swung between brutal humid heat and torrential rain all summer.

So for context both plants were doing really well in have been watering daily as its quite hot in the uk at the moment but as of the past few days ive had these holes in my peppers and some of the leaves are curled and one or two have this distortion and some silvery patches in places! Now this leaf curl seems to have spread to my apache peppers and scotch bonnets! Im not sure if its broad mites or stress related. Some of the newer romano peppers have slight distortion like they have clubbed at the bottom. I also found one or two white/green caterpillars curled up in a leaf. I hope someone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated thanks! Sorry for the picture quality too
