My wife and I are planning a three day weekend in Pendleton in early August and we love hiking and spending time in nature. What are some scenic hikes in or around Pendleton? We’re not looking for anything super challenging, just a nice hike with a pretty view. Thanks!

i moved here a few months ago, the river near me is super shallow and covered in algae and isn’t the greatest, and i’m not one for public pools really. i’m willing to drive like an hour or so but i’m just looking for a river or lake spot to go swimming with my dog since it’s been so hot. i heard mckay reservoir has cyanobacteria or something and isn’t safe for swimming or animals so other suggestions are appreciated 🙏

Title. It seems that the only place that is able to get you through the drive-thru in less than 15 or 20 minutes is the local McDonald's. The Chipotle can get you through pretty easily but the Wendy's the Taco Bell and the Jack in the Box are all very understaffed and very very slow. This confuses me because it doesn't seem that anybody in this town is hiring for entry level jobs, it just doesn't make any sense. Does anybody know what's going on?

I was visiting Pendleton today. I stopped in at the Safeway, and saw an unusual amount of people there that were wearing a dark t-shirt (didnt see what the graphic said), ankle high military style pants, and combat boots. Just curious if this is a group of people that have a certain name or what was going on?
