There will be no way to stop a breakaway:
Problem is, when you have so many trying to get into the break, the break doesn’t go the race just goes fast.

super regular climb, really uninteresting
I spend my summers in the southern Alpes and there is one part I have never been to and that Orcière-Merlette. It’s just geographically in an awkward position for me maybe.

If noone gets points, there's a decent chance its decided in Paris. I wouldnt count Jasper out of making it over Montmartre.

For Mads I think he just needs to mark Jasper, assuming he will be absolutely smoked as well

Dunno, Remco was gone and would MvdP have beaten him in a time trial to the finish?

Carapaz can do it aswell. Pogacar's odds imply a probability of around 50% so it's very open still. A lot depends on stage 20 and UAE looks like they might struggle to control at the moment
If Mauro Schmid can get 2nd in a sprint with Philipsen, Kooij and Pedersen then I don't think leadout is the problem. I think he done for after Stuyven went from his 6 man group. Trek tried to pull on that small climb 4-5km before the finish and he was yelling and signaling them to slow down.

Mads might be cooked after yesterdays effort, if the break doesnt go before the climb starts I dont think he will be in it.
Important day for Carapaz/VPP to reduce the KOM gap to Pogacar. If Pogi wins stage 19 one of them needs to win the first 2 HC climbs on stage 20.

He had Van Aert sacrificing himself by covering MVDP there. Pretty sure he would’ve lost otherwise.

What? No Demi Vollering, she is the Tedaj Pogacar equivalent in the women's peloton, not Marianne Vos
the final climb doesn't look that difficult on paper. unless pog himself decides to go, i dont see there being any significant gaps in the GC top 4.

Maybe they should also test the 19 year old French freak who finished 2nd, only being beaten by Pogacar of all people, on a mountain stage… if anyone is looking suss, it’s him…
