This deck has Black artistry, ancestry, mystics, hoodoo practitioners, fairies, sirens, spirituality, aliens, astrology, witches, psychics, lovers, mothers, genies, dreamers, and all magical beings included.

It could be used for divination, journaling, reflecting, readings, or whatever your spirit feels called too. I created a meaning for each card both upright and reverse but the overall intention is to help you embrace your own intuition and imagination. I'm looking for sources on historical oracle cards in Southern Italy. I'm familiar with the Napoletane 40 card deck and the limited resources on its reading, but looking for scholarly sources on other decks. In De Martino's, Magic a Theory from the South, there's a story mentioning a "deck like in a tavern, but with other cards, including ones with a dog, a flame, and three hearts". Anyone know of good sources that may have cataloged old Italian and Roma fortune telling cards?

Tarot and Oracle go GREAT together, and if I make a Tarot deck with the intention of going with my current Oracle deck, it’ll be so easy to use those decks together

I just found out that my best friend is moving to Florida at the end of August. She is moving with her highly emotionally and verbally abusive, and manipulative husband (not sure if that was necessary, but I've never liked him and how he treats her and been against their relationship since day one, but you see how that went... thanks for letting me get that out). I want to send her off with some nice oracle cards to help her stay strong and remember she has people across the country who love her and respect her and deeply value her... provide guidance, anything to keep her smiling and hopeful. Pretty much what the title says. Im curious what y’all use? I’m a beginner and trying to figure out if anyone uses anything else than regular decks. Like I’ve seen people use regular playing cards but I wanted to know y’all’s opinion on it.

Hello, I'm aware of the Earth & Bone deck that has a Sorcerer card, but that deck doesn't speak to me. I'm struggling to find other decks that feature a "Sorcerer" instead of a "Magician" card, does anyone know of any?

Claire Goodchild, the creator of Memento Mori lenormand and oracle, is considering one last reprint of the deck and the expansion packs. I’ve been trying to get my hands on this deck for a few years now and it seems impossible. She posted a google form to gauge interest on her IG page. If you’re interested fill out the form as this is how she’ll decide on whether to do one last print. Really hoping there’s enough interest! 🤞🏼

I've been working on a light and dark Zodiac deck for years, making the art myself, but I've never done card design before. As I'm coming to the end of the art series, I've been experimenting with putting my paintings into an oracle card format.

Can you guys let me know which of these you prefer? I'm leaning towards the first one with the all-over image with the text overlay, but I've also done a second version with an image insert and the text against a white background. Plus the last one is just a more experimental/artsy one which I'm not sure about - the little starry/design details might be too distracting.

Ppl on here have said that there aren’t any rules to Oracle, but that’s honestly very confusing to my autistic brain. I usually do very well with rules, so I need some clarification

So I decided to make my own Oracle deck. I want an Oracle deck for more generalized advice, unfortunately I don’t have a shop near me, so I looked on Amazon. And I kid you not, I could only find

1. Decks for relationship advice(which I already have)

2. AI decks, which as an artist, I personally do not want to support

So I pretty much said “fuck it. I’m making my own deck”

So now I’m doing research into Oracle, rn I’m just writing down how many cards, and I have this little spiral notebook that has 80 sheets that I can just write down the card and meanings on, get a feel of the meanings, and then start the fun stuff of designing each card on paper.

My friend Daniela and I created Flor de Luto, a 34-card illustrated deck about grief, endings, memory, migration and transformation.
We grew up in Colombia surrounded by funeral homes, cemeteries, flowers and rituals of farewell. Years later, after migrating to different countries, those experiences slowly found their way into the cards.
The deck is now complete and preparing for its first physical edition.

Last time I posted here I got (rightfully) torn apart for using AI mockups for my cards. Thank you for everyone who commented 🙏 I have kicked myself for using it and I won't use it again!

That being said, I still cannot get good mockups. My phone camera absolutely sucks :'). So this is what I put together in Canva, and to be honest I really hate it. I feel like its so boring and no one would click on it in the sea of thumbnails. There's no "it" factor in it and its over all just boring imo.

I just don't know what else to do or how else to present it, so this is the best I've got 😅 I'd like to get your completely unfiltered opinions please 🙏 be brutal if its that bad!

I’ve been putting together music for tarot readings, journaling, and those moments when you just want to switch off from regular life for a bit.

At some point I started thinking about the Major Arcana as moods. Some tracks feel very Magician or High Priestess. Some are more Hermit. Some have that big Tower / Judgement drama.

So the whole thing turned into a mix of soft ambient, a bit of medieval Italy, some Egyptian-inspired sounds — yes, I know tarot was not invented in Egypt, but that whole strange myth around it still has a vibe — and just calm background music for readings or focused work.

For now I’m calling the experiment Tarot Radio Live. The idea is simple: a 24/7 background stream you can put on while reading cards, journaling, writing, or working.

There’s also a small “card of the hour” break once an hour, with a short card note and one question for self-reflection. No big predictions — just a small pause between tracks.

Do you use music when you read tarot? And do you choose it by mood, by deck, by the question, or by the card?

Hi! I'm trying to compile a list of hand drawn oracle decks. Do you have one that you love? Note- by "hand drawn" I don't mean "not AI art" I mean "no computers involved." As in- the illustrator sat down with a pen/pencil/paintbrush and drew the artwork on a piece of paper or canvas. Not looking for decks that were drawn using digital software. Thanks!

i’m new to oracle cards and i know little to nothing about them. i read tarot so i’m somewhat experienced with this sort of divination. what should i know when starting oracle? how do i read them? does the deck matter? what sort of things can i use it for? please lmk and give me some advice.. thank you!!

Zi Wei Dou Shu (known as Purple Star astrology) is practiced across China, Vietnam, Taiwan, and much of East Asia.

It casts your birth date and hour into a chart of 12 life palaces (love, wealth, career, health, and so on). Named stars are placed across them, roughly 108 depending on the school.

You can read a Western chart without a birth time, a Zi Wei chart can't be cast without the hour.

For all its popularity, Zi Wei Dou Shu is famously hard to get into. A chart is a grid of star names in text. The stars never had illustrations the way tarot has. We wanted the stars to be learnable by looking at them, so we gave each one a face.

This deck is 72 of those stars, one card each. The names are my English renderings but every card keeps the star's actual chart meaning, hard edges included:

1. Peach Blossom (桃花, Táo Huā)
Love, charm, sexiness.
"Peach blossom luck" still means a wave of romantic attention across East Asia.

2. Great Gate (巨門, Jù Mén)
Rumor, dispute, mystery.
One of the major stars, and a dark one: the star of what's said, whispered, and left unsaid.

3. Wolf of Desire (貪狼, Tān Láng)
Versatility, charisma, ambition.
The most magnetic and most restless star in the system; in a chart it marks where appetite drives you.

4. Integrity (廉貞, Lián Zhēn)
Righteousness, lust, fiery.
The tradition puts discipline and desire on the same star deliberately: one force, two directions.

5. Emperor (紫微, Zǐ Wēi)
Leadership, power, mercy.
The star the whole system is named for, everything else is read relative to it.

1. Warrior (七殺, Qī Shā)
   Conqueror, authority, arbiter.
   It is literally "Seven Killings" - the general's star; in a chart it marks where you fight.

The art dresses the stars across those cultures. Great Gate wears a Vietnamese layered robe and head-wrap, while the Emperor's beaded crown is the imperial dress of both Chinese and Vietnamese courts.

Why an oracle deck from Purple Star astrology?
A chart is fixed. Your birth date and hour decide which stars sit in your palaces, that part is calculation, not chance.

The deck is the free-will half. You're born carrying certain stars, but nothing stops you from taking up any of the 72 as a symbol to work with on a given day.

The chart tells you what you have, a draw is choosing what to reach for.

i recently got oracle cards and theyre so hard to shuffle. i already have tarot cards and those are way easier to shuffle. i already know how to get jumpers from my tarot deck. but my oracle cards are harder to shuffle and i need help on how i can shuffle them to get jumpers. they’re very slick.

how i shuffle my tarot deck is that i cut it in half, hold one half in my left hand and the other in my right while my left thumb slides the other half of the deck down. and i do that in a quick motion.

i have tried everything with my oracle deck and i get jumpers very rarely. any advice?
