Today Opera released a new update that introduces vertical tabs!
I'm sure some of us vertical tabs enjoyers were a bit annoyed that Opera didn't have this option, so I'm very happy about this :)

So i have opera on my mac and the close and minimize buttons are up and down and i want them to be left and right. please help

I don't know why I have a screenshot of the old Opera forums (My Opera). I guess I liked the design back then and took the screenshot as a reference for my projects. Those were the days.

at some point this app pop-up in my computer, I do not remember installing it, i do not want it, but this thing do not allow me to uninstall it, I tried the normal way, i tried trhough commands, i even tried with revo uninstaller and it do not allow me to do it, i dont know what else to do, pls help me out

i am using opera from my childhood, but recently i wanted to change my desktop browser's look to be like classic looks i mean 15 years ago in windows xp or 7 era. I have already look through opera themes library, they just change colour schemes and wallpaper of browser in the name of themes. if any one know how to do that please guide me. i will be thank ful of you.

I can't do "Find" on any websites since mid-yesterday. Even updated the browser today. They only place it works is on Google Sheets because it has it's own find box.

I haven't done any changes to the browser to cause this, like installing a new extension or messing with settings.

Keyboard shortcuts also seems to be correct

What can I do to fix this?

A very weird bug(?) occured on my browser a few minutes ago and I wanted to share.

I had one youtube tab with a video playing, and few other reddit tabs. I was reading something, so I went to the youtube tab, paused the video, went back to the reddit tab that I was reading, then out of nowhere, a different video started to play in the pop-out. It was a video that wasn't in my watchlist or similar to videos I usually watch. I could pause the video, close the pop-out but the sound wouldn't stop, and according to the opera, the sound was coming from the already open youtube tab, but the video on the tab was paused and it was a different video. I closed and relaunched opera, went to the history to find out which video was platying in the pop-out but found nothing in the history. It doesn't show in the history of youtube either.

Idk if this is related to the latest update or not, but hovering over a link with my cursor isn't providing a small box with the link's URL. I hope this gets rectified soon since clicking on links blindly is kind of unsafe to do.

A while ago I made this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/operabrowser/comments/1sygaro/freezing_when_opening_certain_redgifs_pages/ . The same issue has now returned, some gifs on redgifs cause opera to crash. Does anybody has this problem?

This morning, I updated my PC and installed Opera One Developer, and when I restarted the browser, it told me: "Some extensions are no longer supported by Opera. Please uninstall them."

I noticed that on Opera GX, the Chromium version is still 149, whereas on Opera One Developer, it’s 150.

I’m running Opera One 135.0.5960.0 on Windows 11 64-bit, Chromium: 150.0.7871.13

I am not sure why this animation exist... but please stop.

Normally I havee had good work done by the new ublock functionality, however god did genshin optimizer spam ads through.

i use the opera browser on my phone, and used to use the opera gx browser on my pc a few years back. i'm trying to install opera again now, (gx or plain opera) and i'm unable to.

when i try to download, the installer crashes and closes after 5 seconds on the install page. i can barely choose where to install it before it closes - sometimes i can't even get to the part where i click to install it before it crashes.

when i finally am able to get as far as to click install, every time it slows down and crashes eventually.

i'm unsure on why this is happening, as i had zero issue installing opera on the same pc before (2021-2022 ish?).

i have already tried the offline installer.

i'm thinking it's an issue with my antivirus detecting opera as malware, but i don't want to turn off my antivirus without being confident in this first. i would appreciate any help with this!!

Long story short Icloud is a garbage webpage.

So in dark mode regular emails come in as gray background with white text.

But for some goddam reason, Forwards and Replys come in as Black text on a gray background.

So i ether have to switch to light to read then put it back or find a way to force it to stay light mode.

Hi! so i tried connecting my phone to my flow and even tried changing the theme to light mode people suggested in others but it isnt working and just says failed to connect, connection declined on your other device when i havent touched my computer after i say its the matching numbers and i dont know what to do </3

Hey so is only a me problem but my algorithm in youtube using OperaGX is not changing. It used to be fine but there legit is no new content being pushed in the home page. Is there any fix to this?

out of nowhere my laptop started to become properly hot, like, genuinely painful to the touch
I look at the activity monitor
and opera is kindly using 560% of my CPU
I play entire full size games on this laptop that use less of my CPU and that heat up my laptop a lot less

and it's not even the first time this happens
idk what the helper even does but so far the past 3 years I've had opera was just, 17gb of ram used for 2 tabs and the limiter would just make the tabs unusable and way too much resource usage everywhere

Running Opera GX through Flatpak on Steam Deck, in desktop mode (so it's SteamOS/Linux under the hood). Google logs me out randomly, happens repeatedly, no pattern I can find. Not a one off, it's been going on a while.

Before anyone suggests the usual stuff, here's everything I've already tried:

• no VPN
• Checked "clear on exit" in delete browsing data — no options ticked
• Third-party cookies — already set to allowed
• Shield icon in address bar on google.com — turned off ad/tracker blocking per site
• Added Google exceptions in tracker blocker settings (google.com, accounts.google.com, youtube.com) Added Instagram and TikTok exceptions too
• Flatpak launch flag --password-store=basic — Opera launched fine, still signed out after a few hours
• Checked for Opera GX update — already up to date
• Found correct Flatpak app ID (com.opera.opera-gx) via flatpak list
• Deleted the Cookies file directly via terminal — signed out again anyway
• Tried switching update stream via opera://update-stream/ — page doesn't exist on Linux
• flatpak override --user com.opera.opera-gx --talk-name=org.freedesktop.secrets didn't work

Why is opera VPN temporarily unavailable?

Not enough memory crashes. Either on standalone and installed versions. Win10. Updated to 133.0.5932.34. Few days ago all was fine. Its driving me nuts ! Tried multiple reddit fixes, no success.

This is the first time I had encountered this problem. I've been using Opera since January with my other devices and they seem to work well. Even when Youtube is trying to stop its adblocker it continues to play the videos I watch.

The thing is, its been 2 days since this one issue is occuring with my Ipad, I thought it was just Yt and their greediness when I turned off the adblocker it's still the same, but even if I search random stuff (just actual search), it's blank. Help ;^,
