I'm pretty sure he's trolling. Choosing Mel Gibson makes it pretty obvious he's just trying to 'Own the Libs'.

Even Elon knows it would take more than that to make a movie.

/uj I do think Mel would make a really cool version of the odyssey. But if Apocalypto is any indicator, it would not be historically accurate at all

Did he really agree to make the movie in another conversation? I see he disclosed his medical condition, but no answer about funding the movie.
