I like that they are upfront about the costs associated with the increased efficiency.

In particular I can imagine those turning vanes getting dirty over time, as soon as they're covered in dust and crud I think the friction losses would quickly overtake any increase in flow efficiency. And you'd need someone to go clean them regularly, which increases maintenance.

Depends on the location and quality of the filtration system. Ideally all air is filtered at intake, so minimal dust enters the ducting.

Sure, but i've never heard a homeowner claim AC systems need to be cleaned often. I think I know one person whos had their ducts cleaned out of everyone I know

It's a common door-to-door service in my area. It is an easy thing to scare homeowners into.

I know 1 person who's moved their fridge to clean out from under it and clean the back of the fridge.

Doesn't mean it shouldn't be done.
