A polarizing filter makes such a huge difference around water. Without the glare, it suddenly looks less like a pond and more like the fish are floating over rocks.

Is this how sea birds see? I always wonder when I see gannets diving from up high to catch a fish, how are they so sure of where the fish is? I would just see the sky reflected.

Still, the water is clear. I wear polarized glasses on the lake. You can see better without the glare, but it doesn’t make the water more clear

The interesting thing is that they’re so well streamlined that they can hold their spot in the current with zero energy. We know this because it was tried with dead fish, and when they are put in the right spot in the current they stay there by themselves

My favorite part about that whole thing is I had a coworker who's former coworker at a diff store broke her nose because she said birds arent real. Nose Breaker evidently owned a bird and didnt like my coworker saying they weren't real lol

They are brook trout. Actually very beautiful, colorful fish, but they do look gray from the top in water like this.
