Seems there are so many post10 copycats nowadays. I don’t remember this ever being a thing until he popularized it.

I wouldnt say copy,

I would say it brought awareness to citizen involved actions that provide community benefit in very localized areas.

Now I see a clogged drain and I mentally make note of it when I see flash flood warnings in my area

As a kid, after a flooding event, I gathered some of my friends up and we bagged up all the leaves and branches in the gutters. We ended up getting paid by various people which was nice, but I hadn't even thought of it. I just knew we couldn't afford a new car or house if ours floods.
