I decided to try Star Wars Squadrons for the first time. I usually play Skyrim VR FUS, Forefront and No man's sky. Usually I get better image and fps on Skyrim and forefront using Virtual Desktop. On No Man's Sky it kills my fps for some reason, and the same thing happened with Squadrons. Sometimes I avoid using SteamVR, so I just use virtual desktop and open the game directly on it, but it doesn't work with all games. Is steam link still bad? How can I gain more fps on Virtual Desktop?

Im probably losing performance because of the oversampling of each app, so I zeroed it on SteamVR, and I'm using it only on Virtual Desktop, but still, it runs terrible on Squadrons. Meanwhile I get 40fps more if using steam link directly

I was playing on my quest 2 yesterday before going to bed. I Woke up and decided to play something. First thing I saw was the update today. After it was done my vr keeps showing the no wifi connection screen. I've tried mostly everything but factory reseting. i cant get it to connect to the wifi. Its been fine for last few years. Its just this update that fucked it over. If anyone can help me. Please i need this.

So im trying to setup my oculus rift CV1 with steam vr. I have the meta horizon link app installed and working and it can see my device. Steam vr shows a vr view, and the vr is displaying a white led. But i get now video through the headset. Ive treid setting the ovr runtime to main my graphics card, as well as any other apps associated with meta horizon and steam vr, and i blocked oculus dash in the firewall. I need a different solution. Im running windows 11 with a geforce gt 1030, i know it works with my graphics card cuz ive done it before.

it was working fine last year. Havent used it since and now.

First off - my old PC used to run Oculus Rift perfectly fine but its been 2 years since then.

Last time my Rift was working was on my new PC.

Now I re-installed the Rift back on to my old PC setup and cant get it to work.

2 issues has arise from it - my right controller isnt working - planning to buy a new one to fix that issue, but because of that - i cant finish the "set up". Nor do i think I need to anyways.

Now on the PC screen - I have all green lights. It acknowledges the headset. I can see the orange and the white light turn on. When I run a VR game, the visual in the headset however goes white, then goes into a static screen before going back to black.

I do think it is a HDMI cable issue. However when searching Amazon, I cant seem to find the exact cable for it and nothing looks similair to it (HDMI+USB on one end, HDMI on second end)

Idk what I should do. Any suggestion?

So basically I'm on Quest 3 and my controllers just tweak out every time I'm not looking at them which makes it appear above my head, next to my head, or in front of my face where I can't see anything. Any way I can fix this?

I wanted to play vr again today and I saw that the software I usually launch steam vr with (ReLinked VR; a minimal Oculus PCVR installation package) was nowhere to be found, and there were no downloads online. so i decided to install the official oculus software again and when I launch the setup it automatically crashes after a few seconds and I cant seem to get past this screen. need urgent help

Sorry if this is a really dumb or obvious question but only way I can access my apps in this new interface is search. The apps are def installed, cos they launch via search, just cant figure for the life of me how to get them back to the main menu. Headset is quest 2.

I wish they’d stop redesigning the OS, I get used to one way of doing everything and they make me relearn it all in an objectively worse way. The one that shipped with my headset had no issues, whatsoever.

Hey Gang! I had the CV1 bundle (3 sensors. headset & 2 controllers) and got rid of them during the pandemic. I am looking at getting back into VR and buy a used Meta 3S. I had an old oculus account with a bunch of games. Would I be able to access/play these old games from my original account on the Meta 3S?

Recently my quest 3 link has been acting strange. Before this, it ran 120 hz absolutely fine, barely any hiccups. Even when I messed around with the oculus debug tool it also worked fine. However, suddenly my link refuses to display past 60 hz even though both fps vr and oculus performance hub say I am at 120 or 90. I lowered my fps to 90 to see if that helped, and it suddenly started going in and out of this choppy mode, specifically when looking up or down, the whole time fps vr and the performance hub showed absolutely no sign of fps loss. What the hell is happening, please help i feel like i am going insane. Yes i have async spacewarp turned off. No i don't wanna use virtual desktop or steam link because they are either stuttery or blurry. Please help!!!!!!

EVERY time ive ever tried to use vr in the past 5 years there has always had to be some bullshit that came up. I got to to connect ONCE, and then i try to launch a game and of course, everything freezes, but i can hear game audio. like genuinely this shit is a joke.

Sometimes when I'm playing everything will freeze, but the game is still running perfectly fine, turning the display of the headset off and on again doesn't help it just makes me stuck looking through pass-through. Has anyone else have this problem before?

If you do know how to change it please tell me 🙏

Hey so I own 2 headsets. a quest 3 and a rift S, And recently i've been running into a problem where for no reason, out of literally nowhere. while I'm in a game, Both headsets will suddenly make a beep then static noise and go black. And then when I look at my desktop, the Meta Quest Link app has crashed.

It's made PCVR literally unplayable, I'm just wondering if anyone has found a fix

Hi everyone, thank you all for supporting MRGO! Since launching on Steam, we’ve gotten plenty of positive feedback as well as lots of feature requests from users.

We’ve added the following features in updates v1.2.8 and v1.2.9:

First off, we’ve implemented passthrough transparency adjustment. A transparency slider works for both full view mode and hand tracking mode, allowing you to tweak it to get the ideal balance between virtual graphics and real-world camera feed.

Secondly, vertical Y-axis offset adjustment for the real camera view is now available. You can drag the slider to align the feed to your preferred height.

Lastly, we’ve fixed the camera index issue reported by users. The software will now permanently save your last selected camera and resolution settings, which is far more reliable than the old index-based system.
