Hey, I’m starting my final year in highschool and NYU is my top pick as of now.

I know NYU loves applicants who do a lot of extracurriculars and leadership roles, leadership roles I have, and I do a lot of martial arts training as a hobby, but what else can I do? Any advice would be appreciated.

THIS IS NOT A HELP FOR HOW TO ENTER, this is help on what extracurriculars is good outside of school.

I could probably just not do it right? I’m worried if I don’t do it there will be consequences or that they’ll just force me into those classes.

I'm intending on applying as a business major in all my other apps but ik that stern is the hardest to get into. Should I A. Apply to stern ed1 and cross my fingers or B. Apply as a different major and hope I can switch later on or final option just not apply at all. Idek how easy it is to switch majors but I heard freshment year most of your classes are general? But idk how true that is.

Hello everyone! I’m currently majoring in Biomolecular Science at Tandon for my first-year but I’m 100% set on internal transferring to Washington Square

Thinking between three options:
- Biology at CAS
- Psychology at CAS
- Nutrition & Food Studies or Dietetics at Steinhardt

I understand any major can be pre-med, but which one will give me the most benefit? In terms of easy side classes for GPA boost, specific school pre-med opportunities/orgs., class fits, etc.

Hi, I recently got an email saying how my final IB examination results reflected a broad decline in academic performance compared with the academic record submitted with my application. They told me to respond within 48 hours with a detailed explanation on the Academic Performance Explanation form and Im rlly worried that my offer will get rescinded 🥲🥲 even after explaining everything (academic burnout).

I thought IB scores didnt rlly matter as long as you passed and got the diploma (which i did). Im supposed to attend this fall at the Shanghai campus so Im wondering if this happened to anyone?? 😭

I am planning to apply to cas data science major as junior transfer student. Honestly after reading about it on reddit I got even more confused. My first priority is cas data science with a stern minor and 2nd is tandon for btm.

Lowkey I’ve no idea which one is better, I want a good technical foundation along with business/entrepreneurship opportunities. I’ve also considered northeastern and Boston university.

Anyone got any idea about these colleges, how difficult it is to get in cas (with 3.42 gpa and good extracurriculars)

Hi guys. I am a current freshman in the class of 2030 at NYU, and I want to join the track team. If you have the walk-on standards, how does it work? Do you contact the coaches and let them know your stats, or do they send all students invites to try out?

I'm trying to register for calc III and Linear Algebra but my AP calc BC score is still not processed (got a 5 btw) and the classes are filling up. I literally saw that the only spot left for calc III was at 8:00 AM with a professor that has a 2.1 on rate my prof. Wondering how long it took for your AP scores to show up in that one tab called "test scores" thats on NYU albert.

Hi! I'm about to be a freshman at NYU living in Lipton hall in a triple studio. I was looking at the floor plan for my dorm room, and I saw that there was an entire corner dedicated to closet space that I thought was arranged kind of weirdly, especially considering there's a bed squeezed right next to it. Is it possible to move the closet space things around the dorm, or can you only move your beds and desks?

Also, does anybody have any advice for making minimal dorm space work? Thank you!

1. Is there hotplate or gas stove?

2. Am I allowed to use pressure cooker?

3. Do they provide any utensils or ive to bring all of them?

I’m an incoming international transfer to SPS with 3 semestet left to graduate. But I was trying transfer to Tandon or Arts and Sciences for CS program. I’m currently doing CS & AI in my Poland university.

There is the rule where they say Students need to finish one year in one scholl to transfer but also mention theu consider internal transfer after one semestet under come condition.

Does anyone have experience on this. Whether it’s grades or something else.

I'm a University of Sydney student in Australia thinking about applying for an exchange semester at NYU Paris next year, and I'm trying to get a better idea of what the workload is actually like. I've looked through the course catalogue, but I was hoping to hear from students who have experienced it firsthand.

I was wondering if anyone could answer a few questions:

• How many classes did you take during your exchange/study away semester?
• How many days per week were you on campus, and did most classes meet once or twice a week?
• What was the workload like outside of class (readings, homework, essays, presentations, exams, etc.)?
• Did you feel you had enough free time to explore Paris, travel on weekends, enjoy living in the city, etc.?
• Looking back, would you say the workload was heavier, lighter, or about what you expected?
