Spent the last few days in Caddo Cap Arkansas at a private place called Thunder Mountain Cabin. A total of 81 acres and when you rent the place it’s all yours to hike, fish, kayak, and swim on. Miles of trails, and beautiful woods all around.

Since Arkansas isn’t nudist friendly They don’t advertise as a clothes free space but since they only rent to families and one couple at a time they say you are free to wear or not to wear what you want.

When we got there and I turned off the trail cams, and lost the clothes. it felt great not having to worry about looking out for people. The only thing I watched out for was nature. my ball cap and insect repellent were my only appears.

They had an outdoor shower & bathtub that was perfect when you finished a hike swim. Arkansas needs more places like this to enjoy the “Natural State” naturally.

I’m going to a nude campground with some friends this weekend, it is our first time going and I’m hoping for suggestions on what to bring. I am kind of nervous about the experience (but I know I’ll love it), so I’m potentially overthinking it lol. Here’s what I have:

Tent
Sleeping bag/air pad/pillow
Sunscreen!!
Bug spray
Camp chair
Cooler/drinks/snacks (food is available on site)
Towel
Water bottle
Carry bag
Sneakers and sandals
Toiletries
Spare clothes

I stumbled across the documentary, "Naked in America" yesterday. I had not seen it mentioned in this sub before. The premise is that 4 couples try nudism for the first time at a high end resort California.

I wouldn't say that it's particularly good, but it's not awful either.

Age 77. Been there done that at this age. Never got to be a full-time nudist, i.e. live there.
1. Intro was at a German spa/bad with two other couples (U.S. military). We were walking wondering “what do we do?” We were (all of us) pointed to one door. A locker room, we wondered what to do, a German couple came in, stripped, put their stuff in a locker and went into the spa, so we did too. No body in the place wore a stitch. A very quick introduction.
2. One month before returning to the U.S. my father passed away. A death is never good timing but this was terrible for an enlisted family being reassigned back to the U.S. The funeral was in Orange county, CA. Afterwards I had a couple of down days. I decided to see what Black’s Beach was all about. Wow, must have been a couple thousand on the beach that day. EVERY age. A VERY tanned 80 something lady next to me holding someone’s baby and every age in between all around me. Several volleyball games. Cold ocean didn’t keep people out of the water. It was my only-ever time there but totally unforgettable.
3. It took a while (years) to discover a rustic nudist resort was only an hour away from us (our next duty station). We visited and found a nice friendly place to take the kids the following year when it reopened after the winter shutdown. Then it was a new relocation from the Air Force. Didn’t get to go back.
4. Next was rough years. Divorce. Separation from the kids. Tough.
5. New relationship, new life. She saw my stack of monthly TNS issues, so was aware of my proclivities. We stayed nude around each when alone. However, after another relocation, a new house, and way too many years of siblings moving into our house and lives to really participate/live nude at all.
6. Discovered a nudist resort about a 30 minute dive. Tried it. NOT a well maintained/pleasant place. Discovered, much later, a really nice place about a two hour drive. Long story short became members, enjoyed it a lot. Later nearly bought a unit on the sight but due to another overseas assignment (wife this time) we had to back out. The seller was not an understanding type and kept us from ever returning there (just turned us off because he was an influence at the club we didn’t want to confront).
7. Built a pool. Started a non-landed nudist club with another couple. That worked for us and many others in the area for several years. I see that it recently restarted posting to Facebook but I don’t see any social media posts this season, so maybe not continuing.
8. Now just home nudists again. Don’t even have a pool anymore…sigh.

If yes, was it better / different than free ones?

Any suggestions out there for cabins, Air Bnbs, or naturist friendly stays north of Seattle, Islands included. Our google search was a bit frustrating so we figured we as around. This is for my wife and I with no pets. Remote areas are fine, it doesn’t have to be social, we just want the freedom to be clothes free if we choose.
If anyone lives in the area and is willing to rent out a guest room for a night, just reach out, we are happy to FaceTime and chat ahead of time to make sure we are on the same page.
also, We were surprised about the limited spaces and activities like lake swimming and hot springs that are nude friendly in the area but we also assume a lot of the area is private enough people can just do what they want. Has anyone explored the area and found hikes that offered a quick skinny dipping excursion or similar?

Before watching, I was worried that it was just going to be a 26 minutes of Nudism being made fun of, however to my surprise, despite some hints of classic British type banter/humour, they were actually more inquisitive than I expected.

We all here often discuss how we get nudism into the minds of younger people. Perhaps, endorsement like this from popular influencer type individuals is one good way to go about it?

I’m curious as to what you guys here think?

I guess this is mostly just out of curiosity but I'd love to hear what everyone's stance is. With my limited interactions with the nudism community I've noticed two very divided groups.

The traditionalists and the open lovers so I guess I'm just curious which is more common in the nudism community, are more people strictly monogamous or do more believe there to be some wiggle room.

Personally I'd describe myself vaguely poly, I wouldn't go out of my to be with multiple people but if the opportunity came up I'd certainly want to explore it, my view of friendship and love are very complicatedly intertwined where I can't really tell where the friend ends and the romance begins as I have had relations with pretty much anyone that's also been my friend and I'm curious if this is a common experience among everyone.

Has anyone else had a nude beach day go completely off the rails? We'd love to hear your worst or strangest experience!

My partner has really taken a shine to nudism and I'm really grateful for it. We've been to a few nudist resorts and while we absolutely adore them, we're also interested in secluded, private spaces where we can enjoy being naked alone. Whether it's a cabin in the woods or a private AirBNB, really our only requirements are a hot tub and the ability to smoke outdoors, along with being nudist friendly of course. We live in Florida not far from Lake Como. Travelling isn't off the table, we do plan on traveling abroad but not anytime soon.

I'm learning about being a nudist because one of my close friends decided to be a nudist and it made me wonder a few things, like since you're nude does it matter where you use the bathroom or are rooms separated based on gender? I ask since they are going to a nudist beach with a hotel and I don't understand how stuff like that works. Can someone explain it to me?

We came in on the Norwegian Gem and would like a place as close to the port at possible

Wife and I are planning a visit in September. Based on itinerary we've narrowed it down to Birdie, Shelly and Little Diggers. Which one would you recommend? Hoping to be amongst other nude couples but in a not too crowded beach.

I asked in a different post how people have managed being a nudist at home. Obviously establishing a safe, private area is key but one commenter mentioned their neighbors know and accept they are nudists. This seems like a wonderful position to be in.

I would love the freedom knowing that our neighbors are aware and accept our lifestyle but realize that may be rare and certainly don't want to open the door for negativity, creeping, etc. So I am wondering if others have openly discussed being nudists with their non-nudist neighbors?

In particular, I'm curious how the subject came up, their reaction, and how things have been since the conversation.

Hey everyone! 34m from Nashville. So my wife is not big on nudism at all, so getting nude around the house is tricky when she works from home. She recently had a work trip for two days and it gave me the freedom to work from home in my birthday suit. my job is sorta hybrid but worked from home those two days. During that time, I felt like I spoke with more confidence in meetings, payed closer attention to detail, and was way more productive doing the daily monotonous things. It was the first time I had really worked nude in a while and it felt amazing. Do any of you find yourself more productive when working au naturale?

Hi everyone! I have a question. Do you use towels at home or anything else to protect the furniture? In my family we don't use towels, we use washable covers for some furniture but not all, as some can be easily wiped clean. So I was wondering, is that unhygienic or something?
