indecency refers to behavior, language, or imagery that violates accepted standards of morality, modesty, or good taste, usually with a sexual or highly offensive connotation.

I’ve never really thought of it in a highly offensive or overly sexual connotation. “Moral, modesty or good taste” sounds subjective and up to opinion. CP to me is waaay more than just being indecent..

I don't know the precise legal definitions in the jurisdiction where the charges were filed, but often there's a difference between what's legally considered "pornographic" and what's considered "indecent". "Pornographic" typically means something that is overtly sexual and features nudity and/or sexual acts. "Indecent" may mean something that is more implicitly sexual like suggestive poses, skimpy outfits, etc.

Indecent in English law is a lot more than skimpy outfits.
Public indecency ranges from urinating in public to full on sex an indecent act would generally refer to masturbation,oral,anal and normal penetration.
Indecent images of under age children would be naked and or performing the above acts.
If proven the Tates are in for a really bad time.
