I have recently created the subreddit r/ItalyTravelAdvice, which is growing very fast, 6200 users for the moment, and is easily adding ~1000 users month.
I’m looking for a moderator, or even more than one, that could help moderate this community, but more than that somebody who has a good knowledge about the subject of the community and that helps to boost the growth of it.

Hi all, hope you are all well. I am looking to become a moderator, though I have no experience before. I want SFW subs only please. As you can see in my profile, I have been on Reddit a long time, and have thousands of contributions myself, and would really like the opportunity to moderate a subreddit and gain some experience.

A little about my interests, I am particularly fond of music (I have a masters degree in it lol) so I could be useful for anything about that. On top of that, I am quite interested in sociology and philosophy as well, or anything to do with books (particularly non-fiction, though I do like fiction too). Overall, I am happy to moderate anything, especially as I have no prior experience. Just nothing NSFW please.

Our community traffic is spiking , and our automated filters and comment queues are growing rapidly. We are looking for focused, dependable volunteers to join our moderation team and help us maintain a clean, educational, and scientifically focused feed.

Our Core Mission:

• Clear the backlog: Review automated comment flags, low-karma queues, and reported items daily
• Enforce Rule 4 strictly: Remove valuation, appraisal, market cost, and rarity discussions promptly and neutrally.
• Filter out clutter: Delete low-effort jokes (or any unhelpful joke), memes, and non-identification comments to keep correct scientific answers visible.

What we are looking for (Please read before applying):

We need active queue clearers, not passive badge holders. Please only apply if you meet the following criteria:

• Ready to work daily: You are willing to log in regularly to review reported/flagged/mod-queued content. This takes less than a few minutes a day from your phone.
• Thick-skinned and decisive: You can enforce guidelines firmly without getting dragged into endless debates or passive-aggressive arguments with users.
• Committed to the science: you genuinely care about keeping this sub centered on objective mineral identification and geology, rather than market collectability, memes, or a mod badge simply to wear.

Note: All new moderators will start with a brief, structured trial period to ensure a good fit for our active and heavy workload.
