Yuexiayuzhi 20028(粤霞渔指20028,) and Yuezhanyuke 6(粤湛渔科6号) are likely from zhanjiang indicated by their names.

The two fisheries research vessels found huangyan island's reefs are gradually naturally repairing; green sea turtles were also found in the island.

In addition, on June 19, philipine navy Miguel Malvar-class frigate BRP Diego Silang (FFG-7) attempted to enter chinese waters near huangyan island but was deterred by Type 054A frigate PLANS Tongliao(通辽, 554), type 054B frigate PLANS Qinzhou(钦州, 555), a type 056A light frigate, type 903A replenishment ship and type 815A spy ship. PLANAF Z-9 helicopters also helped to deter PCG planes.

Between june 15-21, Type 818 cutter CCGS Meiji(美济, 5304, Ex-46302) has also been on show of force patrols 81 KM east of huangyan island and 24 km off luzon island as surveillence of US and philipino exercises.
