I understand that playstation had the name change update and it broke multiple og cod, but I've never had any issue with any of them, today I wanted to play MW3 and I was losing connection to Activision, something that never happened before, sometimes I could get In a game and some times I couldn't, but I think the worst is mw2 a game ive been playing for years suddenly forced me to reset my account and I can't even play it, so far waw, bo2, and aw work just fine, but waw shouldn't technically work as I started playing it way after the update, I genuinely am starting to think with all these next gen ports Activision is planning to make these games obsolete just to re sell them to us, and I hope the community stands up to them

In my custom classes, I am setting them up to have concussion grenades, but in game they are being flash grenades.Anyone else have this problem

15 years later, I decided to play MW3 (2011) again after it went on sale on Xbox. Three days of pure nostalgia and fun... until I joined a random lobby and, for absolutely no reason, some loser completely reset the progress on my 15+ year-old account.

Is there any way to fix this? I just wanted to casually enjoy one of my favorite games... 😞

I bought this PS3 with a mw3 disc, after resetting the console and redownload the firmware and formatting memory I came to play mw3, and couldn't find a game it told me "connection to Activision server lost" or something like that, after a week the first lobby I was able to play in shut down after first game and this text appeared on my screen, am I being hacked? What should I do (if I don't want to loose my campaign progress, online idc)?

I bought MW3 a couple days before. But i dont find any game, even after minutes. NAT is open, ports are open. But nothing.
Playing on PC, bought in ms store and sitting in germany

As the tile says drop zone along with a lot of other modes are dead, which is expected because it’s so old and the player base is dwindled. I personally think we should schedule a date/time to run some dead modes such as drop zone as a community. Shi maybe even tonight!

Hello, I'm new and I don't know where to go for help, yesterday I was playing MW3 on my PS3 like almost every day and in a lobby a hacker gave me derank 😩 and not only that, after that every time I tried to play as soon as a lobby started to load it froze me 🥶 I tried everything, I deleted saved data in the menu etc etc every time, frozen again and again loading the lobby, even in private. Hey everyone so I've recently been working on a native controller mod for the steam version of MW3(2011). - Please note I'm aware that plutonium has controller support to an extent(MP) but this is true native controller support and I plan to support SP, Survival and MP.

The game shipped with no controller support and has never had any real controller support, everyone has historically used workarounds and such I decided to make a mod for MW3 that natively hooks the calls for input directly.

My aim is to get this to Xbox 360 parity. So far I've got both sticks working perfectly as you would have had on Xbox 360, button mapping needs work right now but it'll be done by tomorrow. Also the ADS is a proper hold ADS like on console not toggle like it is on PC normally. This is all 100% done and working already in game.

The next steps I have to make before releasing this publicly will be to get proper configuration in the MW3 native menus. Along with certain improvements to configuration like enabling you guys to make your own custom bindings on controller!

Also I'm going quite in depth with this, button prompts will be shown and also configurable between styles. (XB360, XB1/XB Series, PS3/4/5)

In future if this mod is well received I may also decide to make some general improvements to MW3(2011) for modern hardware..

Update 15/07/2026: The mod is progressing nicely and is almost at a playable state. Just fixing edge cases and correctly mapping all buttons to their native calls.

Genuinely its next to no latency at all, got a few things to fix, then going to focus on UI and configuration for the mod and i'm hoping to have it released soon. When everything is fully working i'll do a live stream using the mod live so everyone can see how it works and maybe try it for yourself! Thanks for all the support everyone!!

Update 2 15/07/2026: Will be doing a stream over on my YouTube Channel (@OfficialK8YT) playing survival in the next day or two using the mod in the pre-alpha state so people can see it in action.

Please bare in mind there is still quite a lot of general improvements and work that needs to happen before I can release even an alpha version of this, stuff like UI and making sure things like killstreaks work correctly on controller too!

Also it works in campaign at its current stage but it's largely untested beyond the start of the first campaign level.

Got a Series X, decided to hop on my favorite cod after years. First game on, this loser has walls so I call him out. Next thing I know I’m level 1, everything gone. I have no idea if infection menus (watch a theater clip, I know it was a thing in BO2) are a thing, but if they are can a homie hook it up? I’m not the only one encountering this so if I can get it I intend to fix myself and others.

Because every explanation so far didn't work, how do you do it?

even though i specifically searched for the original, I can't find anything that works.

Setting admin on iw3sp doesn't let it start, "full picture optimization" or however that's called in englisch though works.

Then there is supposedly a setting called:
seta com_maxfps "0"
which should govern unlimited frames with 0 or specific at wish via the number, but it didn't exist in the ini file and when added it doesn't do anything.

But I also always read about people doin it and that one should not surpass 333 fps for engine stability so it has to be possible.

What do I need to do?

Playing off backwards compatibility on XB1 and ended up getting placed in a hacked lobby where the guy immediately reset my account, my save file seems extremely corrupted, and I now have 9 random custom class slots. Is there any way this can be fixed or did I get completely screwed over here?

I’ve been revisiting all of the Call of Duty games that I played when I was a kid. I can find a game in MW2, BO1, and BO2 in seconds. I can’t find a single game in any mode in MW3 (2011). Connection issue on my end or is it that dead?

I joined a modded TDM MW3 lobby and lost all my stats, prestiged me to twenty, locked my prestige shop, lost my camos, can’t unlock any guns, and perks will not go pro. Is there anyway to fix this or am I just SOL?
