A dog was found on campus yesterday near SAG. Generous staff members on campus provided food and water and took her to the vet for a checkup. She is currently in a temporary home. I’m an incoming freshman and wanted to know what the Greek life is like. I’m going for a pretty hard major (Pro Pilot). A lot of SEC schools and stuff are like if your a guy and not in a frat you have 0 social life. I’m curious if MTSU is like this or if they have a smaller Greek life and are less like this. I’m sure every one is different but are they usually pretty big time commitments?

My daughter just got assigned a single in the global learning center house seven. Can anyone confirm if she get a single bed or does she have two single beds? can put together as a double.? I’m trying to decide on bedding.

And also, I hear there’s a communal kitchen. Does this mean that students can use a refrigerator there to store cold things or do they still need to get their own for the dorm room?

Hi everyone, i’m currently 3 weeks into one of my online summer courses that ends the first week of august, and my professor has not graded anything. There’s been about 8 assignments we’ve turned in so far , consisting of written papers, quizzes and discussion post. I do want to say , I didn’t get to pick this professor because I had to get a ‘full class override’ from the department , and when i went to look them up on rate my professor they have 1/5 stars, and the low ratings were due to grading being done at the end of the semester. I was kinda curious if anyone else has gone through this with a professor and if so what did you do or what would you do? Im the type of student that likes feedback and would like to know what i need to improve on and also what my overall grade is. I’m going into my senior year here at MTSU and i’ve never experienced this, so i’d appreciate any advice or input!

I'm moving into MTSU soon and am in the process of deciding microwaves and other necessities for my dorm. I've talked with my roommate and we both agreed that we'd love to have a little more freedom with cooking (excluding the communal kitchen)... for seasoned MTSU campus warriors, how thorough are the RA's with checking wattage and other appliances? How susceptible are the smoke alarms? What are the consequences of being caught?

And no, we don't plan on getting a huge power sucking machine. Just a few things that makes things a little more convenient for us.

hello!! im an upcoming freshman at mtsu and im currently looking for a job. i used to work at scooters coffee and i miss being a barista more than anything. i loved all the different ridiculous recipes and how fast paced it was. i live 45m away from murf so i havent driven through the area to scope out jobs yet but i have been digging around on google maps for anything like barista or smoothie maker or whatever. im also open to anything like barista-adjacent, i remember when i was young me and my dad would go down to this little bubble tea and rolled ice cream shop that i cant remember the name of. i would like that. i miss making drinks so much. if anyone has any pointers thatd be great!!

just as the title says, i thought it came out june 26 but then i heard early july so im just wondering if anyone else has gotten it yet

My child will be an international student for one semester on an exchange fall of 2026. They have yet to receive any information on housing assignment or how to register for classes if I look at the Internet site move-in is around the 20th? Do students usually get this information so close to semester start?

From international office who was our original contact and a great initial help has been out sick for a while, and the communication has been lacking in my opinion.

At the moment my lid can’t invest time following up on this as they are knee-deep in exams, the next two weeks. So I’m jumping in here as a mom.

My other question is it seems like without a car you’re really screwed when it comes to shopping for basics?? does the school have any type of infrastructure when it comes to students with no cars?? they will most likely be arriving with one or two suitcases. And so a lot of basics need to be bought on site. Thx!

Hello, just as the title says, I am trying to find a reasonably priced studio apartment near MTSU. There are no listings I can find currently through websites that have listings posted, but does anyone know of anywhere that have studio apartments? I may be able to call them and see if a space is going to open up closer to early August. I’m kind of getting scared cuz I don’t know where I’ll be able to stay next year.
