"“The restoration will honor the landmark’s distinctive aesthetic character, immersive large-format curved-screen presentation, and traditional concession experience that have made it a beloved destination for generations,” read today’s announcement from Sony. The Cinerama Dome will not offer Alamo Drafthouse’s signature dine-in experience."

Massive news!! This place is one of the mecca's for movies in Hollywood. Will be glad to have it back!

This would be a great location for Sony to re-release Morbius for all of us who missed it the first two times.

I was luck to watch 2001 A Space Odyssey there before the pandemic, great that it will reopen.

If it's anything like Sony's handling of Alamo Drafthouse it'll suck

I wonder how it’ll hold up. That area isn’t as booming anymore.

Ah man, this is great. I used to treat myself to Amoeba mid-week when they opened to browse used records, then maybe catch a matinee at the dome. Good times in LA.

Sony Pictures movie business is led by Tom Rothman, who has nothing to do with games.
