Media First Image for ‘Stuffed’ Starring Jodie Comer and Harry Melling. Comer plays a taxidermist who has longed to stuff a human specimen. She gets a chance when she meets a lonely man and volunteer played by Melling, only to see their pact turn into an unexpected romance where love and death collide.

Harry Melling has really been delivering some incredible acting (and role choices). Didn't expect the kid playing Dudley to grow into acting like this!

he, Radcliffe, and Pattinson have all managed to act their way out of the shadow of the HP movies that put them on the map. Good for them

Pattison more related with twilight fame. But yeah good for them. They are real actors in my book. Not chasing just paycheck but want to expand themselfs
•

I probably should have specified that for his case but them all being in HP stuck in my head
•

I would argue all three of the mains did. Watson and Grint aren’t as high-profile, but they’ve both done some great/interesting work in the years since.
•

yeah, I was surprised to see Grint in a more serious role in Knock at the Cabin. Messy story but loved the performances in that one, didn’t expect a darker turn from him at all

He was excellent in "The Servant" (apple TV show).
I didn't love the show as a whole, but I was surprised by his acting in this.

So Compassionate Taxidermist Seeking Consenting Volunteer?
•
u/Audrey-Bee 4h ago
My first thought too. I'm surprised someone else has seen that movie
(the other movie is Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person, which is basically this premise, but vampire)

Time traveler going back to 2001: "You know, Daniel Radcliffe is going to grow up to have a successful career in a crazy variety of roles in all kinds of weird projects."
2001: "We can imagine that."
Time traveler: "Dudley, too."
2001: "Fuck outta here."
____________
I want to see Melling and Radcliffe make a buddy cop movie, or something like Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly did.

Didn't the IT crowd do something like this with the cannibal?
•
u/TheKiltedStranger 3h ago
Yeah, but they didn't actually want to be eaten, the wannabe-cannibal just had a really nice TV that they wanted to watch stuff on, and they kept stringing him along.
Rude.

More or less based on real life cannibal Armin Meiwes who also had a song made about him!

This started out as an AMAZING short film, seven or eight years ago. So glad the filmmakers got to turn it into a feature.

I’ll watch anything Harry Melling is in.

He’s turned out to be a genuinely great actor since the HP days. He seems to constantly choose interesting roles and movies to be in. His role in The Ballad of Buster Scruggs still haunts me.
•
u/FreakinGuy 4h ago
Giving everything he's got to an audience of 3 drunk men, night after night after night. He nailed it.
•
u/sadranjr 4h ago
Amen. And I hope he’s in more and more things down the line. He’s a wonderfully unique and magnetic screen presence.
