My friend lives in the apartments near Riverview/Arrive in Norristown. Their child will be kindergarten age soon. What school district would they most likely go into? Is there a “lottery” for kindergarten like other school districts have, or can they just enroll their child within the school district? Any pros and cons about local districts versus private schooling in the area?

My Father (82 yrs old) and Stepmother (83 yrs old) from Houston, TX really want to visit me and PA this Fall to experience the amazing color, weather and all that the area has to offer in this season. I live in Plymouth Meeting...so this would be the home base. It is also my first Fall season in the area (moved here 12/26/25). What are some "must sees and do's" to celebrate Harvest season? They are in their 80's and my step-mother is a bit frail. My father is a bit more agile, but less than he thinks he is! Would love to see Fall color, markets, shopping etc.

Hi all! So I graduated in December and have been struggling to secure a FT teaching position in any Montco school districts. I’m not really interested in alternative schools and am trying to go the public school route, but haven’t had any luck thus far save for a few first interviews that didn’t go anywhere. I’m looking to sub next year and I’m wondering if anyone has any insight on which districts have the best sub-to-contract/permanent position outcomes? I’m in the Lansdale/North Wales area + ELA content area. Thank you!
