Introductory Post - Establishing an Imperial Presence on Wayland
discord.comAdded an introduction for a new character and established new Imperial operations in District 2!
——
The oppressive, humid canopy of Wayland yielded to the stark, angular lines of Imperial steel. Moff Tyran Arach stood upon the newly-elevated landing gantry overlooking the shadow of Mount Tantiss. Impeccably pressed in his dark grey tunic, his posture reflected the rigid discipline of a Kuat native refined by years in the Academy. To the engineers and Stormtroopers moving with practiced cadence below, he projected a composed, approachable warmth—a civil administrator dedicated to building order out of wild frontier chaos. Yet beneath that courteous exterior, his sharp, analytical eyes tracked every seam of the construction with painstaking precision.
“Adjust the thermal conduits on Sub-Level Three by two degrees, Commander,” Tyran instructed, his tone calm, quiet, and absolutely unyielding as he turned to his chief engineer. “A marginal variance in atmospheric control will degrade medical storage efficiency by four percent over a six-month cycle. We do not tolerate waste where order is required.” The commander bowed briskly, hurrying to carry out the directive. Arach was meticulous; every logistical pathway, every medical supply line was optimized to deliver unyielding efficiency to the New Order.
To the Empire, the facility was designated as a high-security research outpost, tasked with cataloging local flora and testing advanced medical delivery systems. But Tyran’s true focus lay beneath the official manifests. Ever since an injury early in his life had forced him to confront the frailties of the flesh, a quiet, persistent curiosity had taken root in his mind—a fixation on the boundary where technology and human consciousness met. And the Sith secrets that would eventually flourish here would be the key to unlocking those possibilities.
Deep within the bedrock beneath the base, far past the sterile laboratorial suites, lay a subterranean chamber shielded by lead-lined durasteel. There, hidden among towering, humming nutrient vats and delicate cybernetic transfer arrays, sat ancient glyphs excavated from the mountain's depths—remnants of dark Sith lore concerning bio-engineering and the transfer of spirit. For Tyran, this was not mere superstition; it was the ultimate frontier of administrative efficiency. To transcend mortal limits, to merge mind with technology, was to secure eternal stability for the galaxy.
Stepping off the gantry, Moff Arach offered a polite smile and a respectful nod to a passing patrol, masking the cold ambition stirring within. Wayland was more than an assignment; it was the threshold of immortality.
