that watch band is gonna be stained green by end of season lol happens every time i swear
cucumber looks real fresh though nice even color and that leaf still attached is a good sign. you growing these in ground or containers? my container ones always get bitter but the ground ones turn out perfect not sure why

That's usually caused by not getting enough water. If you water them enough the water may be flowing through the soil too quickly- adding vermiculite should help with this.

Maybe less nutrients and minerals for the container ones since ground has these already? Or if you use fertilizer, do you use it right up until harvest?

How did it sprout? Did the water from the cucumber go into the seed and it sprouted? Soon you will have more of these veg- actually since they have seeds, fruits.
