Chess clubs in Medway
Any chess clubs in Medway? Do they accept adult beginners? Also, what's the membership cost like?
Just started learning chess and would like to start playing with the enthusiasts nearby.

As Medway continues to grow, becoming (what feels like) one merged city, the question of the productivity of its public transport must be drawn into question.
Many areas in the Medway towns are becoming highly developed, from Strood Waterfront, Rochester Waterfront, Chatham Centre, and Gillingham Waterfront. With a population of just under 300,000 residents, we must consider modernising and improving infrastructure - a key feature of this being public transit.
Urban VLR (Very Light Rail) is being developed in Coventry, as a much cheaper alternative to Trams. Track costs £10million per KM to lay, and would allow multiple bus routes to be decommissioned.
As we move into the future, and Medway continues to grow (I mean, have you seen the planned high-rises in Gillingham!) it is important to consider how to modernise our city, and make it as Liveable as possible.
This VLR system includes many important interchanges for travellers, connecting our towns effectively, and importantly, cleanly!

Anyone going to this gig on Friday night? I’m going solo (my Britpop friends are out of town, and my Strood mates are way too young to appreciate good music) and wondered if anyone fancied a beer at one of Rochester’s better pubs?

Hi I'm an A level student making a magazine for my photography course and was wondering where would be easiest to find older skate, music or fashion magazines in Medway. I've tried searching second hand book shops and charity shops but none seem to carry them and was wondering if anyone knew anywhere or anyone who had any they'd be willing to give or sell?

I guess things have changed since I was at school an indeterminate number of years ago, when Howard had a really bad reputation.

I’m a girl in her early 20s and in Chatham I got asked if I was disco Dan cos I left my headphones to go to the Chatham station and was listening to music on my phone and got asked by some young guys if I was Disco Dan and I said what? Fu€k off. It happened twice in 10 minutes, is disco Dan a legend I have yet to encounter? Or is the real Disco Dan actually me?

I feel like I'm going crazy - a few months ago, I was looking for a BYOB venue closeish to Rochester. A lot of them don't let you bring spirits or charge a corkage for bottles.
However, I found a glamping site that allows you to BYOB with no corkage because they don't have an alcohol license.
I think it was about 20 mins from Rochester, but I might be wrong. It was definitely around those areas of Kent, though. They said they didn't really have accommodation on site other than the glamping pods but that you can bring your own tent.
But now I can't find it anywhere!!! I can't remember the name of it. Does anyone know what it's called?
