company law is 30% assessment and 70% exam, what is the assessment and when? how does a year long module operate?

and finally lw291w eu law and policy 1, is it manageable?

do any lecturers say whats on the exam?

Im an international student coming into MU for exchange for the sept to jan semester, was looking around the subreddit and other platforms and noticed that students are staying not just in maynooth itself, but dublin and other close by locations as well. Just wanna know how close to Dublin is Maynooth, and it is really a sensible spot to stay in as a future student of MU. I have extra incentives to stay in dublin as well as i am planning on travelling around and exploring europe whenever i am free as this is my first time coming to europe. Hiyas, my nephew is doing an Erasmus year in Maynooth and has enrolled in a few Froebel modules. He’s received an email saying that those modules start earlier than the rest and that if he misses the first day (Aug 31st), he won’t be able to take them.
Bad news is he did not know this and he won’t be in Dublin that day. He’s been trying to get in touch with whoever is in charge but so far hasn’t heard anything back.
Question, is it THAT strict? Is someone at risk of loosing a year just because they could not attend one day?

I need to resit for the exam (masters). Can anyone guide me on how to study for it? I wasn’t able to attend the lectures due to family reasons and I need help with studying for it. If there are videos that someone can recommend or some notes that anyone has, would be of great help. I’ve tried going through the lecture presentations but they are very bad. All the other housing situations offer occupied housing with families etc. It‘s nice, but i would rather live together with other students, since the student dorms are not available for international students.

Hi! My friend and I are Australian students doing a semester study abroad/erasmus at Maynooth from September - December.

We ideally would like to live together for the duration of our studies in Ireland, but are having a really tough time finding suitable accommodation. I’ve reached out to 30+ landlords through a combination of Studentpad, draft.ie and various Facebook groups, but have only heard back with rejections from 2 and nothing from the rest.

Is this normal the normal experience of trying to find accommodation around Maynooth? When should we start to panic if we haven’t found anything? I was told by a Maynooth staff member that applying in pairs/groups often gives you a competitive advantage because it guarantees the landlord more rent, but so far I don’t think us applying together has given us any leverage.

If anyone has any other suggestions of where we should look or useful property resources we would be extremely grateful!! Thank you in advance! :)

I just received my results today from my final year of business (bachelors) and am now wondering about graduation. Has anyone any experience on the graduation days at Maynooth? I'm wondering things like

- when the university gives you information on it such as a time/place etc?

- is it an all day affair like how long do you stay and how long is the ceremony?

- where I will buy the gown and hat or is it borrowed?

- how many family members can come into the ceremony with me?
