I kinda hope the album after has nothing to do with death after 3 straight albums of it including a double album. I'd love to hear them sing about monsters again.

My favorite album seems to remain the same, but my favorite song seems to fluctuate time to time and is usually not off the same album.

Curious if that’s the case with anyone else or is an album your favorite because it contains your favorite song?

Hey guys.. I got my ticket to see Mastodon on the upcoming tour in ATL. I've never had the chance to see them since my wife/friends don't like that style of music and I'm kicking myself that I never got to see them with Brent, but I'm going alone because I think it will be good for me. I've gone through a lot of loss myself in the past few years (both parents and I'm in my 30's). The upcoming album, I feel will be cathartic to a lot of us in many ways. When I was looking at the venue (The Eastern) I couldn't help but notice.... Brent's memorial is right down the street. I imagine I will see many of you paying tribute there as well. Rest in Power Brent. I know we'll see your ghost again in the room that night.

Saw this during my morning reverb scroll, seller is saying Brent was supposedly sent this guitar to see if he liked it before production models rolled out. Still think even if Brent played it 15k is a little steep

I'm trying to understand the time line and also the documentary, the interviews Mastodon in the room.

Brent leaves/fired or mutual parting but even after press was announced he was out, they get a touring guitar player Eller as I'm assuming they had a tour in March of 25 and was trying to avoid cancelling.

Then I'm watching the documentary not long ago and Troy expected or had hope that Brent would return as he's walked out times before and expecting he would return.

You buy that? I never once thought he would return and didn't most think Nick was going to join the band as a full member some time that year even if Brent lived?

Another one is definitely from Crack the Skye: “I can see the pain, it’s written all over your face” (I read it as one line)

Much like you all, I took Brent's passing harder than I expected. It's been a thing hasn't it?
My first "celebrity" death that has really shook me.

I met the "other Brent" after a gig one night, at the venue I work at here in Adelaide. He stole a cigarette and asked me where to get some weed. Made me laugh. I pointed to some friends who could help him out.

My biggest regret is that I had to sell my Epi Flying V Signature because of financial difficulties a couple of years ago and every time I see one it literally breaks my heart. It was my go to, and it hurts so much even more now.

To process some of this, I've had a design idea going around my head for a while - and finally made a move.

It’s twice to three times the price of all their other releases, why is that?

I lucked out and snagged a copy for 40$ but everything else I’ve seen is 70+!
