With the help of the fine folks at Magnetar, the FAQ has been refreshed and updated.
If you have some tips or answers that you'd like to be added, leave it here and with enough upvotes (or if I just think that it's really cool) I'll add it to the FAQ.

Rare Komatsuraptor Tooth
Had a very interesting day magnet fishing.
Recovered from the depths after millions of years of evolution... or maybe after falling off an excavator. š¤
(For those wondering, it's actually an excavator/backhoe bucket tooth. Around here we call it a Komatsuraptor Tooth. š¦š§²)
Besides the usual lures, hooks, weights and bottle caps; I also found two knives. A cheap Whitetail Cutlery folding knife. The big hit of the day was a Victorinox Hunter Pro folding knife.

Found this guy yesterday amongst other things. Having trouble identifying.
Best guess so far is some sort of guide for a chain for mooring, the Y at the top is curious, and then I object is pretty solid and heavy.

Finally got the moped out ! And much more.
So the same new guy from Thursday agreed to come and help me get the moped out !
Took a little while and a little struggle but we managed it !
The registration wasn't showing on any police database so they decided to take it away (can't scap a vehicle here without the registration documents)
Unfortunately shortly after he wasn't feeling well and went home and I carried on
Big piece of stand alone fence
Skateboard
Shopping basket
Fishing scales
Large stake
Umbrella, coins, vapes, batteries, kids remote control, beer can from 1985 ! (Well preserved), leads from a battery charger, paint brush, bike lock, padlock, coat hangers, the tool kit from the moped, wing mirror (moped) a glass lens and anything I've missed !

Do you call 911 or the non-emergency number when you pull up a weapon?
It's not exactly urgent, but you don't want to have to wait around for hours for the cops to show up...

Cool bracelet I found a while back
Don't really magnet fish much now, (Mainly just found rebar) but since this is probably the best thing I've ever found, thought I'd post it.

Biggest pull yet, any idea what it could be?
Pulled this from a river with near a 200+ year old trading post. Though I'm sure it's not 200 years old, it looks like it's been down there for quite a while, was wondering if anyone knows what it's from.

Today's haul !
Today's haul wasn't too bad, had a newbie come and try it out, unfortunately he didn't have much luck !
But he did find the little Allen key thing and found the trolley but with a smaller magnet and less experience I pulled it up (it was stuck well !)
I got 2 bikes
Pliers, lures, ladel, 2 spoons, umbrella, coins, battery, earbud, airfix paint tin, coat hanger, bit of a mudguard, piece of chain and some sort of camera holder !
And whatever else I've missed !

New to magnet fishing. Which way is the correct/best way to fish?
Not my main magnet, found this magnet on a bridge, guess someone didnt want to go for it since it was hard to get to, also the magnet is small, so probably wont main it. So which way is the most effective or correct?
Also comparison to my hand, so as you see, pretty small. Writing from Latvia, thanks!

New and I have many questions.
Hey there folks! Bought my first kit today and ready to get into the hobby here. Was wondering if anyone here is from Alberta Cananda, and can help my navigate where I can and can't magnet fish? I've seen lots of conflicting information and don't wanna get arrested my first day out.

Didn't catch anything too crazy but still a fun afternoon fishing the Erie Canal in Seneca NY and made a little kids day!
Sign, bike and random bits. The best part was a little boy and his parents came over and the mom said that her son watches magnet fishing videos and is getting his first magnet soon. He was about 6 or 7. He was so excited because I was bringing up the bike while he was watching. Cute kid, he was so hyped up.

Are the cube magnets durable?
Iām considering the cube Magnetar magnets. 1. Iām worried the corners will chip off. 2. I have a Brute one-sided that gets stuck in rocks. Has anyone gotten theirs stuck between two objects?

My buddy found a decent machete in Dallas, Texas

We found quite a few gun parts and car parts. Even with all that, this was still my favorite catch of the day.

Magnet fishing from kayak?
I'm thinking of adding a magnet fishing kit to my loadout, and I'm not sure which magnets I should get. I'm not looking to bring up a Subaru, and since I'm on a kayak, I am thinking I don't want anything that can bring up heavy things anyways (for risk of tipping).
I'm thinking of throwing it out on rivers that I fish, trying to clean up some line or occasionally find a dropped rod, hooks, or weights (since lead isn't allowed in Vermont, and steel weights are very common).
Most posts are for getting the most pull for your buck, but I'm not looking for that. I have electronics on my kayak: a garmin fish finder/plotter, wireless pedals, and a motor with a 24v lifepo battery. I have hooks, weights, knives, etc, on my kayak too.
Is one of the crappy Amazon weights actually good for me? It's less about finding something expensive, but more about finding some neat things while I'm bottom fishing and just letting a hook sit.

We found 3 different pistol parts off of Wildwood in Dallas, Texas.
Lots of other finds as well. Big thanks to Dallas PD for taking all the gun parts.

IT FINALLY HAPPENED, I FOUND A GRENADE ! (2 posts today)
So after a couple of hours of fishing I pulled my magnet up and there stuck to the top was a world war 2 mils grenade !
Obviously called the police who showed up an hour later !
Then proceeded to close roads off etc , although the road was 100ft away and there were houses 20ft behind me !
Bomb squad were called and on their way but they are based about 3 hours away, so what they did with it I've no idea ! Unfortunately.
EDIT, so far the only thing I have managed to find out is that the bomb squad did a controlled explosion in nearby woodland the same evening.
If I find anything further, I will update again
