And they say Sonic rips off Dragonball...

when I was watching the last LP video I knew I recognized the fit that Master Roshi had was nearly identical to the Old Man Owl's from the Sonic OVA. This is a screencap from Dragonball GT, which came out in 1996, the same year as the OVA, so they were likely in development at the same time and if anything the Owl had it first. Is this just a look that was common in the Japan in the 90's or are they both telling the same joke?
