The idea came to me a few days ago when I watched "Mufasa: The Lion King" and noticed this cub. I wondered who this cub was and found out that in the novelization she is named Zuri.

During my research, I discovered that Zuri can mean something like "nice" or "friendly" in Swahili. I found that interesting because I had heard that Zira means "hate" in Swahili. Why do I find this interesting? Well, because the names of TLK characters usually reflect a part of their personality.

In the case of my theory, it would mean that Zuri was kind and friendly as a child, and then something must have happened to her that made her full of hatred and caused her to change her name to Zira.

The catch in the theory: The mom. While Zuri's mother doesn't have a name in the book, it looks different in the film. In the film her name is Sarafina. And TLK fans know that's the name of Nala's mother, meaning if my theory were correct, Zira and Nala would at least be half-siblings in the remake universe of The Lion King.

And I'm not sure if Disney, if they were to make another The Lion King movie, would make another sibling drama, after Mufasa and Taka/Scar.

Nevertheless, I found the idea of having seen a possible cub version of Zira in the Mufasa film interesting and wanted to share it here.

I wanted to share this since it makes me nostalgic. I think I made it back in 2014.

I know they made the models all clunky in TLG to be easier to animate + appeal to kids but they could have at least made the adult lions more accurate to their movie selves, especially Simba because he’s who everyone is the most familiar with. Rob Lowe Marshmallow Simba has ALWAYS bugged me and will continue to do so😭

Nala, on the other hand, is screwed no matter what because they gave her the wrong colors. She has her jungle colors from the scene where she finds Simba in the first movie instead of her normal daylight colors as seen during the ending.

I was in a long art block and decided to come back and start by coloring some sketches I drew a while ago. Hopefully I can attempt to get past my art block and make more art again 🥹

Since people seemed to love my Taka animation a lot, heres all of the Mufasa related animations and art I've done! I had some other animations on my old phone but sadly my other phone is broken so this is all I can show you guys, however, this has a lot of stuff! Enjoy! :D

Not only because of Simbas childlike delusion thinking him being king was just being a celebrity with no responsibility which he would’ve had to face the reality of it anyway had things gone the way they were supposed to but also because the way things turned out he had to go through way more adversity and pain and had to learn the hard way what it means to be not only an adult but the king

Here is most of my Simba collection boxed up. Didn’t take pics of the bed plushies and Beast Kingdom boxes. Some art is hidden in the last photos and many enemies.

I highly doubt it, to be honest.

So just in case kovu and kiara did not stop the fight on time and simba and zira directly fought each other who do you think would have won personally I think simba could kill zira because he is stronger and the pridelanders have lot of food resources..

-Scar: Simba, what have you done?

-Simba (crying): He came to save me. I didn't mean for that to happen.

-Scar: Of course you didn't mean for it to happen. But the king is dead, and if it weren't for you, he'd still be alive.

-Simba (still crying): Uh, I'm confused. Is it my fault that he died or not?

(Scar just stares at him.)

-Simba (gulping): I need an adult.

-Scar: I am an adult.

(Simba runs away. The hyenas appear.)

-Simba (panicking): Uh, I need an adult?

-Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed (simultaneously): I am an adult!

Hey besties, it’s ya girl Klopushka back again and today we’re starting a FANTASTIC new segment!! Niche animals for your OCs. Today on the chopping block: African wild dogs, aka painted wolves, which is literally where their Latin name Lycaon pictus comes from.

IRL these guys are pack animals, and despite the name they are NOT related to hyenas (who are actually in the feliformia suborder, i.e. cat-adjacent). They’re literally some of the most effective hunters on the planet their success rate for pack hunting is like ~80%. INSANE.

They live in super organized packs with strict altruism. Like, wounded members and pups eat FIRST, and THEN everyone else gets their turn. Also their puppies are some of the most wholesome little gremlins out there they’re constantly following each other around single-file, and the whole pack babysits them.

Unlike a lot of other predators, female painted wolves leave the pack when they grow up, while the males stay in the pack they were born in. So adult males are usually fathers, brothers, or uncles to the pups. Their whole efficiency comes from teamwork.

AND ALSО this might blow your mind-were SUPPOSED to be in the original Lion King script! They were gonna have the same role as the hyenas, working alongside them. But Disney cut them bc of role overlap, animators in the 90s didn’t wanna deal with explaining the difference between two rival pack hunters living in the Outlands when they basically serve the same narrative purpose. "They're both pack hunters, they both compete with lions, why waste screentime explaining the lore when they do the same thing?" and just like that, we lost an entire species getting representation on the big screen.Anyway go off I guess but we were ROBBED.

I'm curious, for anyone here who plays Kingdom Hearts 2, do any of you like to mod Lion Sora into the rest of the game?

It's one of my preferred playstyles, personally. I just find it so fun to kick butt as an adorable lil furball with a case of the zoomies!

Though I feel like I'm the only one who plays the game this way very much, so I figured I'd see if anyone else does as well!

I have 3 more of the large adualt Simba in storage. There are s acouple non Douglas ones in thier: the two big Japan Scars, a Japan Simba and a couple Jemini Simbas. I have way more non Douglas Cuddle TLK plushies in storage. Took me like 20 years to get this collection together.

They only look like their parents in passing. I see resemblance and they definitely look like the biological children of Sahasi and Ananda but neither Rani or Baliyo are exactly carbon copies of their parents.
I see that Rani resembles her paternal uncle, her father’s brother, Surak quite a bit! She has Surak’s eyes and expressions. She also looks like her paternal grandmother Queen Janna too.
Baliyo also look like his uncle Surak as well as he resembles his paternal grandmother Queen Janna even more than Rani does! He has her nose and a similar eye color to her. He also has her mouth shape.
Both he and Rani have the same ear rims and eye brows as her also.

I haven't seen that series in ages, since I was a kid, I won't remember anything. They can mention anything in the series that's related to the characters from The Lion King.
