I hope it’s okay for me to be posting here.
On Saturday 18th July, my friend and I got the Dublin Coach/ Green Bus from Limerick to Dublin City Centre, Route 300 arriving to Dublin City at 1pm. After around 30 minutes, my friend realised he had left his bracelet on the bus which contains our friends ashes. Obviously, this bracelet is very important. We contacted the green bus main office and they advised us to fill out the lost and found form, which we have. I rang again today (Wednesday) to see if there were any updates and I was advised that nothing had been handed into the office yet and they would follow up.
I’m wondering if anyone has any other suggestions on what to do? My friend is really upset, as I’m sure you can imagine.
The bracelet is a black metal band.

Hi, im planning to move to limerick for college and i want to secure a job in limerick but I fear im going to have a hard job finding work like I am rn in cork, is finding a job in Limerick easy or do I need to rely on nepotism to get a job just like Cork..?

I had (what I expect to be) a large box delivered to an address, marked as delivered last week by UPS. Only problem it’s no where to be found, no missed calls and the delivery slip simply says ‘mailbox’ which makes no sense considering I know it’s a large delivery. I imagine it’s been delivered to a wrong address but there’s no info to go by. I’ve tried putting in a claim and contacting the sender but it’s been nearly a week and no updates. Can’t get through to anyone by calling customer service or Shannon themselves.

Anyone have any luck heading directly to UPS in Shannon for some help or know if there’s anyone there to speak directly to?

well lads, not been to the crescent in an age and wondering if Elverys or Sports Direct might be any good for picking up a bike helmet? Or would I be better off just heading over to Decathalon altogether? would normally just order one online but unexpectedly need one this evening

Hello, Irish subreddits are always great for posting stuff like "oh gosh it's so hard to make friends." and posts of that nature.

The advice all makes sense about groups here and there BUT fuck me it's really hard meeting a new group when you're the only new person. Or there's technically other new people but they kinda know someone there already. Odds are if we are clinically online, we're pretty introverted as is.

So I'm thinking I'll put this post up, see if anyone else whose waiting to be invited to something wants to be DM'd and maybe create a group chat by the weekend to try have something arranged around the bank Holiday or weekend after.

Bit about me: 38M, father of 2 and trying to get better at cooking, healthy eating, stand up comedy and consume as many movies as I can. This really isn't about gender stuff for me and more so about talking to some new faces even if only for one evening. And I think if this doesn't kick anything off, mods have to ban all "how do I make friends" posts for the remainder of the year.

Update: I work 9 to 5ish so I won't be too responsive during the day. I'll try setup the group chat after work on Thursday 23rd.

2nd Update: About 12 of us so far including myself so looking like it'll definitely go ahead. :)

3rd Update: Currently at 17 people, I'll say this is full once I reach 20 as I'm sure it'll be impossible to find a date that suits all once we hit that number. Statistically speaking, even with a group of 20, the odds are less than 1% of anyone being a serial killer, so that feels like a safe call.

Off to ATN next week and just wondering where is best value for drink these days. Aware MPU has ruined it but supervalu a good bit more expensive than what they could charge

As title says, does anybody know who owns this male black cat with a tipped ear (indicating he is neutered) in the Clonmacken estate near Jetland, Ennis Road? He comes to my house everyday and comes in the back door trying to eat my kids baked beans at dinner time 😂 also trying to eat my dog’s food.

I come back every summer and I do a bit of cycling around the county. I went out the other day in stunning sunny weather and saw more cyclists than I'd ever seen before in Ireland. 90% didn't have a helmet. Please wear a helmet. You don't need it until you need it. But believe me: when you need it, you need it.

We just turned off into kilaloe from Limerick on the m7, and there was a red / orange Toyota fits / Corolla with an N plate going into oncoming traffic on the motor way! Garda was stopped at the round about, looks like a chase. Maybe will hear some update on this later. Safe driving guys

My theory test is already booked for 28 July. Can I get the eyesight test before the theory test?

Also, which GP/opticians would you recommend that are reasonably priced and usually have appointments available at short notice?

What is the weird noise on O Connell Avenue? Is it that building site?

I’m an international student going into my second year at UL. Unfortunately I was late on my student accommodation application and haven’t gotten off of the waitlist. I have applied to every feasible housing option I could find on student pad and daft.ie and haven’t gotten any responses. I’m not sure where I’m going to live at this point, I would seriously appreciate any recommendations for where to look.

So as a 28-year-old nerdy guy (but not socially awkward) I find it difficult to break into groups or talk to someone with whom I am not already at least acquainted.

I've heard Pharmacia and Trading Post floated as options. As someone who is interested in Magic but new to it, are game nights in TP super competitive? Thanks for any advice, lads!
