What can I say about the Temperance that I haven't already?
Designed by Joey Mulligan for Saberbay, this continues to be one of my favorite lightsabers to come out this year—and it's still sitting comfortably at the top of my list. The proportions, the mix of brass, aluminum, and wood, and the unmistakable High Republic styling all come together to create a hilt that's both elegant and incredibly satisfying to hold.
This particular saber arrived already weathered by its owner, giving it the appearance of a Jedi weapon that's seen years of service. The worn finish pairs perfectly with the design and really brings out the character of the hilt.
For the install, I used the custom removable chassis I designed specifically for the Temperance. It features a dedicated 28mm speaker pod, a 2020 NeoPixel accent strip that illuminates the grip window, and several additional accent LEDs to add just the right amount of life to the reveal without overpowering the design.
Sometimes the best installs aren't about adding more—they're about complementing an already fantastic hilt. This one was exactly that.
