Question/Advice What would you do if the girl you are talking to keeps asking for free stuff because you work at a Beauty Salon?

I met this fem girl around a month and a half ago. She is adorable, just my type, the sex is great but im starting to feel like she only talks to me because she wants to get stuff done.

I work at a Beauty Salon and i told her this the day we met. Two weeks later while we were hanging around in her apartment she asked if i could wax her legs and i was like oh hell yeah sure, she had wax strips laying around so i used them. The next day she told me i did such a good job she wants me to wax her from now on. Im honored and i tell her the location of our salon.

She comes, i wax her, she doesnt pay. I think ok its a one time thing and tbh i didnt want her to be annoyed by me and think im stingy. She asks me to do her hair when we are hanging out, she asks me to do her nails, i do thinking its quality time. Yesterday it actually clicked to me what she was doing. She asks to get her lashes done, i tell her i will ask my boss and see if we have space to put her today since its like 4 pm SHE SAYS "NO BABE TAKE THE MATERIALS AND COME WHEN YOU LEAVE WORK" HUH?!?! Am i overreacting? Is it normal to ask for service like this from a person you are hooking up with? I dont own those materials, not like i could take them in the first place. How do i say that i noticed she is getting free service from me without sounding like a total bitch?

would you pay to read a oneshot of them? this one piece encircles the whole vibe (no, for real)

of course it would be real cheap, but I cant do it free.

It would be a pent up confession evolving into a desperate make out, classic, but military themed for the uniform loving ladies

Question/Advice Do you share your location with your girlfriend?

I’ve (31) been dating this woman (29) for two months and she asked me to share my location with her. I guess I’ve been living under a rock, because I didn’t even realize that’s a “thing.” She took my phone, opened my map, showed me how to do it and, y’all…it kind of creeped me out to see it broadcasting my whereabouts like the damn Marauder’s Map from Harry Potter.

I feel bad because I know she’s been through trauma due to unfaithful partners, but this just feels invasive to me.

Discussion Kink or hate, where do you draw the line?

I was in the sub for older lesbians yesterday and a Dom woman posts in there looking for a 24/7 D/s relationship. She then goes on to list all the kinks she’s into and financial domination as well as consensual non-consensual fantasy are things she’s looking for. I also found on her profile where she interacts sexually with men but claims she’s a lesbian. I was surprised that some of the women were engaging with her and basically treating her like her tastes are acceptable.

It bothered me, so I wanted to ask where do you draw the line? When does a kink become the perpetuation of dangerous and harmful activities and proclivities and not harmless self expression. (Especially regarding marginalized groups of people like lesbian/bi women). Eg, financial dependence, rape and dykebreaking fetishes. If these things are considered acceptable in kink spaces where is the line, when do we start to push back? Murder fantasies? Idk it was gross to see it in a discussion sub not even in a kink space. I knew women were accepting but damn, as women how do we allow it to continue in good conscience. Especially in women’s spaces that are supposed to be safe.

Idk if this makes sense but maybe someone can help understand why this is so accepted and not seen as harmful in wlw spaces.

Discourse Just got my biggest compliment ever

One of my coworkers has a very tight knit family.
She’s the oldest child, and after training me and spending 3 weeks straight laughing with me, today she asked me if I would be interested in getting to know her younger sister…

I said no thank you in a very tactful way (I’m not interested for reasons that have nothing to do with them)

But the fact that after hanging out with me she thought I’d be good enough to even get to know her younger sister!! Who is unbelievably talented and definitely out of my league…, :) I’m gonna ride this high for a while

It’s nice to be liked by people.

Venting Young lesbians and "Looking for Gods in the eyes of men"

I've noticed something a LOT in lesbians in my age group. And its that they are CONSTANTLY looking for someone to lead them. To the point where they give ultimate power to random people because they've done one inconsequential thing, and they end up getting let down or being lost.

I noticed it in 2020 when everyone was giving ultimate power to the "Lesbian Master Doc" which was made by a child who was having trouble accepting that she was bisexual.

I noticed it again a few months ago when hundreds of lesbians got scammed out of their money from Emily Gwen. A woman who had assorted some colours on tumblr to make the "new lesbian flag" and people gave her ultimate power on ANY lesbian discourse she would pipe in on, she ended up being a scammer who was pretending to be 2 people and pretending to be homeless.

And I'm noticing it again with Leslie Feinberg, and Stone Butch Blues. They are giving it ultimate power and claiming that its the "lesbian bible" (which I think its redundant to have that at all) and they're acting like every butch lesbian by default is not a woman, and is a stone top, who has to take T, and has to go by he/him, and has to embody everything a fictional character (the book is fictional) had done. While they leave out the fact that the book is fictional. And written by one white american. And also that the character did all of that out of survival and didnt like it.

I say all of this to say, that I wish lesbians my age would "Stop looking for Gods in the eyes of men" (Odysseus) and focus on actual historical records and confirmed definitions, instead of wikipedia.

Question/Advice How do I tell my gf I want to break up after 5 years

Im f 25, my gf and I have been together for 5 years. We live in a apartment together with two cats and she is certain of our future together. She talks about marriage, kids and other plans.

I kinda provide for us and pay the bills, because I earn more money. Without me she won’t be able to afford the bills or provide for herself. I feel like such a burden when I’m thinking about ending it. I don’t want to stress her out.

Question/Advice London lesbian friendly spots?

I’ll be visiting London and wondering if anyone suggests any lesbian bars or anything that folks with a lesbiangang mindset would be in their element? Not sure if this makes sense but I’ll have a few days to myself so figured I’d see if any gems exist there 😅

Question/Advice Randomly feeling guilty over a celebrity crush and I need advice

Hi, I’m a 16 year old lesbian. I knew I liked girls ever since I was 9 and I have a family who loves and accepts me. I have been extremely fortunate to never really experience heavy lesbiphobia towards me and I’ve never been shamed for liking girls so I’m really confused where this came from

So my celebrity crushes are often older, and I mean older (60 and above usually) which some people find weird but what can I say! The heart knows what it wants I guess and they’re celebrities so I don’t have a chance with them anyways

Usually I don’t feel guilty, I mean logically why would I? They don’t know I exist, but for some reason now I feel genuinely gross for having a crush on this one actress.

She’s more on the niche side, with 30k ish followers but she was known in the 90s if you watched TV. From what I’ve seen her post she’s a very lovely human being and I enjoy watching her videos when she posts them

But for some reason I just feel this wave of guilt when I think about the fact I like this woman romantically. I also have this crush on this older woman (similar age, also an actress from the 90s) but I don’t harbour that same feeling of guilt. I think it’s because this one has more followers and is more well known (200k) so it doesent feel like I’m crushing on someone’s random grandmother

I’ve never felt guilty for a crush before this, I don’t know if this is a form of internalized lesbiphobia? How can I get rid of this guilty feeling?

Venting Feeling like an ick

I recently got interested in a girl i had a team project with, i had a decent excuse to tslk to her and we hit it off in the friendly sense, talk about the project, talk about fashion, talk about places, fairly formal but friendly. After one specific reunion she seems to dislike talking to me. If i send her a message she might reply but she doesnt seem to want to continue, with any excuse to keep going, as someone intersted would. And its not her obligation, its fine if she doesnt like me but it makes me worry if i sent her away, did i act weird? Did i look bad? It wasnt a very good skin/hair day that day. Did i smell bad? Was i ridiculous? Childish? Akward?.

I havent had any relationship with a woman, ever. Im not that old but by standards around town i should have at least had two. And im not into that incel sh*t "ohhh ill never get with anyone boohoo" cause im not worried about that. I just have so much energy for this, so much interest. I love romance!, i love people!

Im just so frustrated and thinking, maybe i am an akward mf. The type of person people avoid talking to, the type of person people think are annoying but they wont tell them to not be rude.

Discussion could you date a girl with homophobic parents?

just learned that it’s actually seen as a « red flag » by some girls, what do you think about this? I personally think that it’s a bit stupid since you can’t choose your parents but I guess people may have their own reasons

Question/Advice Not intersted in mlm

I do not know why I do not have any interest in mlm shows and even feel uncomfortable. Even when it comes to reading books. I've tried to stop it but can't. It's not homophobia. But just some discomfort I always felt. Even in person when I hear my gay male friends talking about their crushes or partners ( most of them share graphic details as well) i sometimes link it to gay men easily getting love and also accepted and representation in the media. And people saying things like gay relationships last longest and lesbians less as it's two women so there won't be love. But even apart from that i just don't have any interest in watching romantic shows like hearstopper or those cute love stories. A lot of my queer friends love it and irl love shipping couples even then I don't show interest when they talk about how cute a gay couple is or when they ship some of our friends among gay men. I have had bad experiences with gay men as well like the misogyny and way too often seen differences between them and lesbians like even in the dating groups there are few queer women and it's mostly the gay men flirting with each other.

Also actor was rated as sexiest man alive and he is gay my first thought was why it's not that way for a lesbian.

Please don't judge me I do not know why i feel that way. When it's a lesbian romance. however i just melt and will watch anything boring just to see a wlw scene. But when it comes to mlm i always felt nothing or discomfort from the beginning.

Discussion Happy lesbian moment at the movies to share!

Some positive lesbian vibes for everyone! So a week or so ago I finally got to see the Girls Like Girls movie in theaters. First, I would highly recommend seeing it and reading the book! Loved the movie.

My happy lesbian moment was walking into the theater, which was one of those “dine-in” experiences where each two seats share a table, and seeing the whole theater full of lesbians and lesbian couples. Even as someone out and in the scene for many years, I kind of felt a little nervous walking in and seeing everyone haha! Like I was blushing! It was so cute to see so many couples there on a date night. And other lesbians like me there solo!

One couple showed up a little later and one had a cool suit on and slicked back hair, her gf was femme and wearing heels and all dolled up. It was date night!! AHHH! 😍😍😍

I chatted with a couple next to me after the show about what we liked and didn’t like about the movie. It was nice to just casually meet a lesbian couple randomly, have a nice chat and then both be on our way. It’s rare for us.

It felt so comforting being in a theater, watching a movie about lesbian love, and having everyone in there understand and be women. No creepy men killing the vibes!

Just wanted to share bc it really made the experience of going to the theater 10x better and I was not expecting that!

Love you ladies ❤️

Discussion I wish I were a man, but, I am not transgender.

I wish I could just be me and also be with women.

I'm tired of the women I fall for giving their absolute everything for a dustbin man. If I were a man, women would give everything to me for no reason. Even though they're used by him, abused by him, etc, they never choose me. I have a job, a car, an education; I live on my own. I'm 35 years old, this is normal. (American) But they'll give everything to some peen they found in the landfill, that has nothing, and takes everything. They love men in ways they will never be able to love me. It makes me so sad.

Tell me a happy lesbian story! If you have one.

Sorry to be so negative, just sad and lonely.

Love y'all!

Discussion A strange lesbophobic “story” that was circulating on my TikTok feed

I’m not really sure how many of us on this sub really engage a lot on TikTok but I have an account where I make vids and I talk about issues surrounding lesbophobia and I remember seeing this strange ass video kinda circulating on my TikTok feed last year. The video was taken from a Reddit post, if I’m not mistaken, about this “lesbian” who was apparently dying of some illness and while she was dying she realized that she was actually in love with her best friend who happened to be a guy. Apart from the whole thing being fake or either written by someone with a “ďŷk€breaking” fetish, the overall sentiment towards the story was so disgusting and genuinely opened my eyes for the first time as a young lesbian. The comments were so disappointing with everyone genuinely finding it “heartwarming” that a dying woman was no longer lesbian and had fallen in love with her male best friend. The worst part about the whole thing was that I remember listening to the story and thinking to myself “how is this heartwarming?,” because to me it seemed like another conversion propaganda geared towards lesbians. What was also strange was how using a terminally ill woman to prove that lesbianism- I mean sexuality is “fluid” made it hard to argue about the very blatant lesbophobic narrative the story was pushing because the person is at the end of their life so who cares. Now that I’m a bit older and immersing myself more into my sexuality, I’m starting to realize that one of the reasons why as lesbians we’re seeing this resistance to us advocating for ourselves is that society and our own “community” truly hates us for not prioritizing men. It’s a punishment, the worst sin of all to decenter men in a world that centers around men. It’s like a betrayal to society to go against this “task/purpose” that we as women were given to praise men and they really fucking hate us when we go against it. I know lately our sub has been under attack but I will say this, I’m never going to stop the fight for lesbians and carrying the immense pride I feel to be a lesbian, a woman that loves other women and have no desire for men. Also sorry for any grammatical mistakes I’m a bit tipsy.

Ever had the girl you talk to tell you she's not ready for a relationship just to keep edging you on and immediately start talking to another girl.? If I had a quarter for every time that's happened to me I'd still be broke but I'd have 2 more dollars to my name.

there is not enough positivity for us in this world, especially not on this website at least. so while we are constantly being scrutinized I want to make this post to bring us together and share some appreciation and positivity for the beauty of lesbianism. share whatever you would like!—what do you love about being a lesbian? what's something you love about women? tell us all about your girlfriend/fiancée/wife. whatever you want. let us go forth and spread some lesbian joy and appreciation — and fuck everyone who tries to take it away from us

Discussion similar minded youtubers?

thoughts on any similar minded (about… you know…keeping our spaces ours) youtubers? misha petrov is one who I watch pretty often, she’s a little more right leaning than I am but I find myself often times agreeing with her. Then there’s people like blaire white who sometimes addresses similar topics but isn’t a lesbian, so I’m looking more for youtubers closer to misha I guess. any suggestions?
