Weekly Verification Weekly Photocard Verification Thread
Post in this thread to get help with your purchases! Please include pictures of the front and back of the card, as well as what album/merch it's from. If it's a POB, include the store that it came from (Apple Music/Makestar/Ktown4u etc). You can skip this information if you don't know where the card is from, but it will make it a lot easier for me/others to search for the card. It also helps to include where you bought from/where you will be buying from to determine if the card is legit.
Some things to keep in mind:
- Cards with a general value of $10 or under are unlikely to be fake.
- Cards from albums that are still in print are unlikely to be fake. Difference in card thickness/tab location/finish doesn't always mean a card is fake, because different manufacturers can be used every reprint.
- Some groups use the same picture in different ways for multiple pre-order benefits, so it being cropped doesn't necessarily mean it's fake. Dreamcatcher used to do this and I believe all SM groups do this for their Season's Greetings pre-order benefits.
- First round preorder benefits from KTOWN4U and MAKESTAR for popular groups are less likely to be fake, especially if the general value is under $10.
- Albums with promo stickers are less likely to be fake, though do keep in mind that some idols have their managers sign the albums for them (this is common for SM groups if I recall correctly).
- Artists signatures generally evolve throughout the years, just because it doesn't look the same as a near debut signature doesn't mean it's fake.
Scams to look out for:
Mercari Japan has had a big upswing of fake rare cards. Thankfully, they don't put much effort into making their listings look 'legit' so it's pretty obvious if you don't just impulse buy. Here is an example. Only 7 sales (at time of writing), rare cards from every big group, and the card quality looks terrible.
Signed cards weren't always common. Some groups like Twice did not sign cards at all really before recent site specific pre-order benefits and lucky draws. Here is an example of a fake signed card. If you click through to their profile you can see they somehow managed to find 100s of these signed cards "from other websites" and once again, they are all from the most popular groups.
These random signed stage photos with a "Hollywood Style Inc Certificate of Authenticity". I can't confirm that all signed stage photos are fake, but legit ones are rare enough that I would be extra wary when buying.
If the album is signed by more than one member, check if the pen pressure looks the same on each signature.
Resources to help you verify:
Youtube - You can look up unboxing videos of other's fansign albums to see preorder benefits and member signatures.
Instagram - Same thing as above. A lot of people post pictures/clips of their preorder benefits and fansign albums. Collection photos often show off these as well. There are also some accounts that have guides on member signatures.
Twitter - There are accounts that scan photocards which could help you verify proper level of zoom if you worry a card is cropped etc.
Ebay - Search for past sales for comparison of prices and product photos.

Question Looking for advice on buying the ATINY Edition of BAD (Japanese Ver.)
Hi peeps!
I'm hoping someone who's bought Japan fanclub exclusives before can point me in the right direction.
I'm trying to purchase the ATINY Edition of BAD (Japanese Ver.) from outside Japan. I normally use Buyee, but it requires a product URL, and since the item is only available through the Japan Official Fanclub, I haven't been able to find one.
If anyone has experience ordering FC-exclusive releases through a proxy, I'd really appreciate any advice. And if there's something specific that worked for you but isn't appropriate to post publicly, I'd be grateful if you could send me a DM.
Thanks so much in advance!

Discussion Finally finished organizing my main K-pop shelf! Rate it 1–10?
I started truly collecting February 2025, I may have a small obsession lol. I tried to balance albums, lightsticks, and merch without making it feel too cluttered. Open to compliments and constructive criticism!
(Also yes… I’m aware T.O.P is not longer a part of BB I just wanted to display his album and my lightstick… they just fit well together)

Question Is the Ice Cream Cake Automatic Ver. Album more rare these days?
Basically what the title says. I NEVER see it around on Vinted or anything. Only the colored ICC Version. I did score the Automatic Ver. for like 2€ though, so that's pretty damn cool.

Collection One wall of my Twice merch 😊
I finally decided to open up the rug from the pop up and display it.
My two little yorkies can’t get to the rug if it’s on the wall 🤷♀️

Question Do you keep the boxes from K-pop blind boxes?
I’ve been keeping all the empty blind boxes from Stray Kids, IVE, and MEOVV on the bottom shelf of my display. The boxes are cute, but I’m starting to run out of space and may need to use that shelf for displaying other items too.
I’m considering throwing them away, but I’ve heard that missing the original packaging can lower the resale value if I ever lose interest in collecting. Do you keep yours or throw them away?

Discussion Delivered Korea help!!
I bought 11 sticker sheets and a small desk organizer from Daiso, and Delivered Korea is quoting me $567 - $1027 on shipping!! How is this possible? What should I do? The box says it’s 9kg and has a dimensional weight of 36kg. I don’t see how it could be so big and heavy.
EDIT: Thank you for all the replies!
I got a response a day later from the customer service team. They said that although it was ordered all at once from the same place, it came in 2 packages. This is also even though the warehouse items said it was all in one package. They said the two boxes + Daiso sending it in large boxes caused the shipping to appear so high, which I’m still a bit confused about because a commenter said the large dimensions they reported still shouldn't have been so expensive but whatever. I also still don’t know why the package was 9kg even though it was only light items that shouldn’t add up to that much.
They told me to use their repacking service and also gave me credits to do so. I’m hopeful it will have a more reasonable shipping cost after the repacking, but I’m also keeping in mind the ideas of shipping to another korean proxy or abandoning the items if it doesn’t work out. Will keep updating!

Question How rare and desirable is this?
Bought 3 sets, collected them in person on the final day of the finale in Seoul. Got lucky and found this in 1 of the 3 sets.

Question did i hit the jackpot?
first off, apologies if posting this is inappropriate. i couldn’t find the weekly verification post for this week so idk if that’s still ongoing or not.
i bought this トレカセット (trading card set) from mercari japan with my trusted proxy service and i managed to snag these for about $10. this seller has sold a lot of these トレカセットs for different &team members. i doubt it’s fake because of the sheer amount of doubles and i’ve purchased these sorts of sets before with no issue (they’re usually legit and this is a common selling practice in japan). HOWEVER, the cards arrived today and i’m not sure if it’s my skepticism creeping up on me or if it’s because of the moisture from being in a box for over a month but the cards feel flimsier than i expected. i compared them to my other cards that i know are real, some from the same album and other &team pcs. the size, corners, colors, quality, and thickness are all consistent. it’s just the way it bends so easy that throws me off. is this normal for being stuck in a box for a long time? am i tweaking ?? 😭
pics 1&2 the top card is unsleeved
3&4 it’s sleeved
pic 5 is the listing i ordered
pic 6 is the plastic sleeve that a few of the cards arrived in, each separately
i also don’t remember if the listing description said it was from albums or not. the listing is gone now which raises a red flag for me but it could also be unrelated/nothing. i plan on selling the duplicates which is why i want to know so i can price them accordingly. i don’t want to scam anyone by mistake.

Question Storing pcs help?
My binder has a few groups in it atm, but I collect enhypen mainly as they are my ults.
I keep getting new enhypen pcs and unfortunately I've ran out of sleeves and since I'm going to turn my binder into an enhypen specific binder (with probably smaller binder/s for the other groups I have in my collection)-
I was wondering that if I use the sleeves from the pcs that would not be going in the binder on the pcs that would, with the unsleeved pcs, how is it safe to store them? I have some unsleeved ones left in the albums but I'm not sure how safe that is obviously (though I do store my albums safely)
- An idea I had was to use the boxes you get from Poca market that contain pcs to store the unsleeved ones in? Or could that possibly damage them?
Another question was : if I were to buy pc sleeves from aliexpress or temu or something, would they damage the pcs?
Thank you :)

Discussion Do you buy albums for feature tracks?
i think the title question might be confusing, so i'll just ask with examples:
if you collect stray kids, would you buy "IM NAYEON" from Nayeon because Felix is featured on one of the songs? if you were collecting kiss of life, would you but "tilt" from irene & seulgi because she was featured on one song? if you were collecting blackpink, would you buy maroon 5 single that featured lisa?
this might be a question more directed to those who focus on one group, and collect everything from that group, but yeah i'm just curious how you see the features in regards to your collections :D

Discussion Does anyone else feel guilty about how much they’ve spent on their collection
I love collecting albums and photocards and they genuinely bring me joy but when I think about how much I’ve spent on everything it makes me feel so guilty. What makes it worse is that most of my collection is in a binder so it feels like I’ve spent money on stuff that don’t even see the light of day.
Does anyone have any advice?

Discussion Best courier/proxy to ship from Korea: ISO recommendations.
Hi there!
I’ve been wanting to get some Ateez stuff from Bunjang. Wondering which is the best proxy service to forward to the US? Taking into account the new tariffs and laws of package revision from customs (this got me stressed af, since I used to buy from Mercari JP all the time). Also if someone had like a recent experience of getting their mail checked pls let me know, mainly I want to get a plush and a squishy and want to everything arrives safety. Tysm in advance! :)
