Ask Kolhapur Why there isn't any National Education Institute in Kolhapur

Question is more like why our local politicians aren't pushing for atleast 1 Education Institute for our city. Now I'm currently living in Bhopal its far lesser city than our Kolhapur in terms of GDP, in terms of Local talent or businesses but still it has almost every major Institute like AIIMS, IISER, NIT, etc. I know it is Capital city but when you look at list of Institutes in other states most of the time they aren't in capital city so why we Maharashtrians have everything in Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur.

Well this are major cities in Maharashtra but isn't it bit biased towards other cities like Kolhapur, Nashik, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. We have more capable youth here than Rishikesh, Rajkot or Darbhanga but still we don't have anything.

Ask Kolhapur Can we take a moment to appreciate the people behind the CJP protest?

Post image
23 Upvotes

While we keep discussing the movement, I guess we sometimes fail to thank the people behind it.

It’s been months now since I’ve been following the CJP protests and I’m missing out on something really important.

Thank you.

Thank you to every protester who showed up.

Thank you to every volunteer who does his/her share.

Thank you to students who voiced themselves, to teachers who were with them, to parents who support them and to everyone who is responsible for thousand other things that we may never see.

Thank you to everyone who arranged food, water, transportation, medical aid, accommodation, legal assistance, logistics, security, cleanliness, coordination, and countless other responsibilities that most people will never even notice.

Special thank you to Abhijeet Dipk*, Sonam Wangchuk and all the others who are taking responsibility for organizing, leading and participating regardless of the physical, emotional and personal toll that this takes.

While it might be a matter of opinion whether everyone agrees with all of the demands made, I think that it is fair to recognize the effort, time and sacrifice required to take part in peaceful civic action.

And also to those who wish to be there but cannot due to lack of time, geographical distance, study/work/family duties and so forth.

Not everyone can stand at the protest site.

People are contributing to the cause by disseminating the verified information, documenting the events, organizing the process, donating and just ensuring that the conversation does not die.

Every single contribution counts.

While movements rely on the people standing at the frontline, movements are also kept alive by thousand other people who do what they can where they are.

Regardless of what will happen next, I hope that we won’t forget the people who gave their time, effort and courage to something they believed in.

That's all I wanted to say.

If you've been following this movement and there's someone you'd like to thank—a volunteer, a protester, a teacher, a parent, an organizer, or anyone whose efforts deserve recognition—feel free to leave a comment below.

Sometimes a simple "Thank you" means more than we realize.

Let's make this thread a place to appreciate the people who stood up when it mattered.

Thank you.

I was wandering here and there . actually I was on a call with my friend .When the call ended and I got back to senses and just got blessed with the view.

It was serene. .I would say the ocean not the sea of tranquility.

Just opposite to kit and chitranagari but you have to go deep down

Discussion A Humble Request to the People of Kolhapur

Dear people of Kolhapur,

I'd like to share a simple thought with you.

Whenever something important happens in our family, our priorities naturally change.

If there's a wedding, birthday, or any happy occasion, it's understandable if not everyone can attend. Some people have work, some have businesses to run, and others have school or college. That's completely normal.

But what happens when something unfortunate happens in the family?

Take a moment to imagine this...

If your mother suddenly becomes seriously ill, would the rest of the family continue with their daily routine, saying, "I have to go to the office," "I have college," or "I'll deal with it later"?

Of course not.

Someone would take her to the hospital.

Someone would arrange the medicines.

Someone would take care of the house.

Someone would manage the family's finances.

Everyone would contribute in whatever way they could.

Because when one member of a family is suffering, the entire family feels that pain.

Our country is also one large family.

India is not just a piece of land. It is our home, and every Indian is a member of this family.

Whenever our country faces a natural disaster, a terrorist attack, a war, a major accident, or any national crisis, it should not be seen as the responsibility of only the government or the armed forces.

It is the responsibility of all of us.

This doesn't mean everyone should stop working, shut down businesses, or leave their studies. Doctors must continue treating patients. Police officers must continue protecting society. Farmers must continue growing food. Teachers must continue educating students. Essential services must always continue.

But we should never behave as though nothing has happened.

Instead, every citizen should ask themselves one simple question:

"What can I do for my country in this situation?"

Maybe you can donate blood.

Maybe you can help affected families.

Maybe you can volunteer.

Maybe you can avoid spreading rumours or misinformation.

Maybe you can simply follow official instructions and encourage others to do the same.

It doesn't matter whether your contribution is small or large.

What matters is the willingness to help.

Just like a family comes together to lift a heavy object...

One person carries most of the weight.

Another offers support.

Children may bring water.

Elders may offer guidance and encouragement.

Everyone has a different role, but everyone contributes.

A nation works the same way.

During difficult times, our responsibilities may be different.

But our responsibility to stand with our country is the same.

A family's true strength is not seen during celebrations.

It is seen when everyone stands together during difficult times.

Likewise, a nation's true strength lies in the unity and responsibility of its citizens.

Taking part in celebrations is a choice.

Standing together during difficult times is our responsibility.

If we truly consider India our motherland, then instead of asking, "What are other people doing?", we should ask ourselves, "What can I do for my country?"

As a responsible citizen, this is just a small attempt to share a thought that I believe is worth reflecting on.

Jai Hind!
