OMB?

When do we think KOL 10 is dropping? I’m sure they will tease it for two/three months prior to release but if they are going to drop it this year, they will have to announce it in the next month or so. It’s most likely nothing will drop too close to the holidays, so I feel like early November will be the latest release date if they drop in 2026.

Or do you think they’ll will wait till beginning of next year and roll it straight into a tour for the summer?

Uni Paper on Find Me

Hi guys! Im doing a uni paper on a song of my choice and I need to talk about the meanings behind songs and then the societal links with it. My fav song is Find Me and id love to talk about it, but I wondered if people have any self attributed meanings or ideas around what this song is about.

To me, I kind of see it as it could be a love song, but also maybe a bit manipulative. I would want to write about it as a toxic relationship. And the romantisation of obsession in the current dating world.

Here is what i have so far:

The mention of a "twisted smile" has the feeling of being unable to escape, mirrors the feeling of being lured in.

"see your shadow knocking at my door... " the song is tracking them down , leaving the narrator asking, "What are you looking for?" It feels stalking or obsession.

And the idea of : "And now I got you by my side / All my life / Day after day / Turn to grey" could be sweet. But the idea of turning "to grey" implies draining the life, colour and autonomy out.

Any help would so be appreciated!!

Manchester crowd

If any of you have been to the Manchester gig, or seen some videos, you'll know how good the crowd was. It was perhaps the best audience I have ever witnessed at a KOL gig.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_E7M3haoaaY&list=RD_E7M3haoaaY&start_radio=1

Everyone, from the front row to the top of the stands, was singing practically every song.

I'm thinking, why the sudden difference? Usually, the crowds are just about ok. The stands don't really tend to sing - unless it's SoF.

Though, before the actual gig, they played a few easy sing-along tunes - Take Me Home Country Road, etc., and I think that's when people started to loosen up a bit and sing along, which continued throughout the concert.

That's pretty much the only difference I can think of compared to other nights, I think they should do these easy songs before every gig, so people get in the mood...

Staging

I took this in Limerick, I love how their stage design is pretty basic because when the lighting is right you get such a great shot of the band playing their instruments.

I know that sounds stupid but after seeing a lot of bands in the last few years , nothing beats the approach of KoL. Come out, play your tune’s phenomenally well, say thank you and leave. I saw muse on their last tour and it was more like a theatre show.

Looking forward to KOL10

What does everyone think about the direction the band is going in after CWPHF & EP2? Personally I think they're in a much better place musically than a few years ago. They're getting that spark back. Definitely looking forward to the next single(s). Hoping for some mechanical bull vibes on KOL10

Bootlegs, Live Shows, Broadcasts etc

Sorry if this has been asked a million times before, I have looked before asking. Where is the best place to download soundboard quality bootlegs and shows from in MP3 or FLAC?

I did look on https://livebootlegconcert.blogspot.com/2013/11/?m=0&utm_source=chatgpt.com but unfortunately they seem to be dead torrent links.

I don't currently have any bootlegs so recommendations are welcomed too.

Thank you

KoL Leeds

I’ve just been to watch Kings of Leon in Leeds with my girlfriend and I thought they were absolutely fantastic. Really put on a show and the same as when I saw them at Hyde Park in 2024.

I did notice though that there was large proportion of people in the seated areas that were sat down and look pretty uninterested whilst I stood up and wanted to have a good time. We were then told by staff that we had to sit down as it’s the rules, but surely they can’t enforce sitting at a concert like that? I didn’t even think we were blocking other people’s views, having said that they didn’t look like they even wanted to be there so why should we have to sit? I found it typical that once Sex On Fire came on everyone decided to stand up as if they were only there for that.

I don’t want to seem like I’m ranting as I enjoyed the show so much apart from that and think Kings of Leon are a brilliant band but I just wondered what other people thought about this?

Went to see KOL for the 9th time last night and I honestly think that was the best yet I’ve seen from them. The crowd were amazing throughout and Caleb’s voice keeps getting better and better.

Here’s hoping for number 10 (album and concert) very soon.

Long live the Kings ❤️

Last night Kings of Leon performed “The Face” Live for only the third time ever. I was so happy it’s my favourite song!

Glasgow crowd

Wanna preface this by saying the performance by the band was amazing and no issues on that front. I was wondering if anyone else had any issues with the crowd. I’m 26 and I’d say I’m pretty experienced in going to gigs particularly in Glasgow but last night might have been my worst experience at a show ever. We were in the pen so maybe didn’t do ourselves any favours there. Just surrounded by drunk teenagers, I know that in itself isn’t a problem but there were times when the plastic cups were getting thrown at each other at some force that it was genuinely scary. Kids just having full volume conversations the entire time only stopping to get their phones out and film some of the more popular songs. I know bands of this size sometimes fall victim to people coming to see them for one or two songs rather than the whole event but this really was the worse I’ve experienced. Makes me feel like a boomer doing a post like this.

Manchester Show

Tonight Manchester show was unreal and KOL proved yet again why they are one of the best bands to see live but for anyone stood to the left of the front of the stage, your experience might’ve been dampened by a 50 year odd old woman and her daughter acting like children.

Really disappointed in the staff at the Co-op for letting anyone that drunk anywhere near the event in the first place.

From climbing on each others shoulders and slamming eachother onto the ground, to throwing their cups of cider all over everyone around them, the pair of them left a stain on my night, pardon the pun.

Me and my misses were the only people in the vicinity who had a word with them despite everyone around us clearly being bothered by them, but it was no use.

I’d be interested to see if anyone else on here had a similar experience.

Cheers all, I hope you all had a belter and got home safe.
