Was sorting through some old things and found these.

They’re some excess backup display pieces from the KAWS exhibition at NGV in Melbourne (2019-2020). The plush “X” eyes were backups for the exhibition decorations, and the alphabet window stickers were extras from the PLAYTIME children’s space.

You can actually spot both in the official NGV Matterport walkthrough and the PLAYTIME promo videos.

I’d never really thought about them until now, but it got me wondering…

Has anyone seen these outside of the exhibition before?

Curious whether they’re known among KAWS collectors or if they’re just an obscure piece of exhibition history
