Hello! We are looking for someone to help our daughter keep her Spanish going strong. She is leaving her Spanish language emersion school...she has a foundation but is def not fluent so we want someone to meet her where she is and provide learning materials as well (aka, theres no homework right now for her to do with the tutor.) An ex teacher would be ideal for this role so they can create a "lesson plan'. If you know of anyone or have suggestions on where to look please let me know!

So yesterday I went to the city council meeting, extremely underprepared. Honestly, I’ve been itching to exercise my political power ever since taking government. It was so fun going up there to speak, it felt like I really mattered. I know my proposal was not strong enough and it won’t happen, but I still believe there is something we can do to make a space for children. I want to try again, but I’m not sure where to start.
Please, I’d love yall’s help creating a community. When I was younger I yearned for the countryside under the impression community there was stronger. I’ve come to realize there is just a lack of spaces for children to convene if they’re not in sports or extracurriculars.

I was discussing with some friends about the old firestation across Newton park and turning it into a rec center. They recommended I go to the city council meeting today. I am nervous because I am super underprepared. Maybe I will go next month.

Meet local rockstar MCARTHUR! 😎
This sweet, insanely handsome boy is currently being fostered in Kennesaw through Fulton County Animal Services & ready to find his furever home! 🏡 Artie is the epitome of the Husky breed PLUS plenty of other awesome perks in a lean 45lb package! 💙 He’s full of personality, rocks a killer mohawk, has some pretty fabulous eyeliner, and has a great singing voice (iykyk). 🎶 Plus, who could resist that movie star smile 🤩 and icy blue gaze? ❄️
🐕 2.5 yrs old
💙 Neutered
📍 Microchipped
🫀 HW negative
💉 UTD on vaccines/preventatives
✔️ Potty trained
💤 Crate trained
👟 Leash trained
⚡️ Medium/high energy
🧠 Knows sit
🎾 Ball is life!
🦴 Treat/food motivated
🫶🏼 Non-reactive with food/toys/treats
🛁 Easily handled for grooming
🪮 Enjoys being brushed
🚗 Rides well in the car
🐶 OBSESSED with our resident pup
😻 Has been very polite with our resident cat
🦌 Has been non-reactive to deer & other pups
Artie would probably do best with older kids (or younger with close supervision) only because he gets excited and tends to jump up to greet people (working on this). He’s also still a bit mouthy when he plays. Someone familiar with the Husky breed whose willing to give him the space and exercise he needs to thrive would be the best fit. He would do fine as an only pup, but would probably be happier as a pack member since he LOVES to play with other pups. He has a great play style (loose, wiggly, goofy) and is very responsive to corrections. ❤️
If Artie sounds like he might be the right fit for you, click the link below to set up a meet & greet! 👋🏽

Has anyone here worked with Haven Lane Design for a home renovation (not just decorating or shopping at the boutique)?
We really like their aesthetic, but we're having a hard time finding independent reviews or client feedback specifically about renovation projects. Most of what we've found seems to focus on the storefront rather than home renovations.
We're also curious why there aren't more completed renovation projects or client testimonials shared publicly. Since a renovation is such a significant investment, we'd love to hear about real experiences from homeowners who have worked with them.
If you've worked with Haven Lane Design on a renovation, would you recommend them? What was your experience like? The architects and engineers we've interviewed are far less expensive, even when their teams have interior designers on staff. Haven Lane is design only, not an architect or engineer.

My fiance and I are getting married on October 10th and our photographer just told me that they’re moving to Florida and can’t travel back for our wedding. I’m trying not to stress. The most important thing to me is that I’ll be married at the end of the day, but I would really like some nice photos to remember it.
Our wedding is small (max 60 people - immediate family and close friends) and we’re getting married in my best friend’s back yard in John’s Creek, GA. Trend is gothic garden dinner party so it’s pretty non-traditional and intimate. I always imagine the photos looking pretty moody so I’m here for artsy/cinematic styles.
Please reach out with portfolios (instagram works too!) and price points if you’re available!

I work for a wholesale supplier based in Suwanee (kitchen/restaurant supplies, cleaning products, household goods, etc.) and I'm trying to understand how local restaurants, grocery stores, and retailers typically find new vendors or suppliers.
Is there an online community site, directory, group chat or associations where vendors are welcome to post or introduce products?
How do suppliers typically get on your radar? Reps, trade shows, word of mouth, online search, something else?

These are the rendering for the new building being built next to city hall. This isn’t really a mosque but a house of worship for Shia Ismaili Muslims. In addition to the religious building it also will hosts special events. I don’t know a ton about it, but it’s a nice modern look. Parking will be interesting for large events and popular park events that might be scheduled at same time. You wonder how long the neighboring office complexes allow people to use their lots for free parking

We live on the Forsyth side of McGinniss Ferry but ever since school broke for the summer, police patrol and traffic enforcement duty is suddenly seen a spike by Suwanee PD on PIB, Johns Creek PD on McGinnis Ferry and Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office on Old Atlanta.
Is this part of concerted effort by the departments as response to some findings or is this just a seasonal summer spike as officers assigned to Schools are more free to take up these shifts in general ?

Does anybody know what they are working on and how long it will take to complete? We moved to the area going on two years and has been constant construction at that intersection and honestly, it doesn’t seem like much is actually changed. I’m glad that there are constant improvements to the infrastructure of our city, but it would be helpful to know what they’re actually working on while I’m sitting in traffic almost every day, ha ha.

Hi all! I recently purged through my older bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths. They’re still in good condition, but I just have too many of them. I was looking for a place to donate the towels that wasn’t a thrift store, possibly a veterinarians office, rescue or place that helps people in need. Let me know if you guys have any suggestions! Thanks!

METRO ATLANTA LOCALS!
Pink sectional couch FREE for local pick up.
It’s super comfy and cute, but my kids can’t handle the responsibility of a lighter colored couch. 😑🙄
There are visible stains because of the kids, but they are easily removed with a steam cleaner. She’s a great super cute couch. If at all possible, I need it out TODAY!
I had someone interested, but they can’t come until Tuesday. The new couch will be here today, so I would prefer to get it out today.
