That's one patient cat

u/MeisterFluffbutt 2h ago

That cat seems to be reveling in all the attention hahaha. What a cutie!

u/ClownTown89 2h ago

My parents have 2 cats that let my niece do stuff like this to them a lot. One of them hates every second of it, and one actually likes it. From this cat's body language, he's one of those weirdos who actually likes it

u/Sega-Playstation-64 3h ago

I read "handcuffs" at first, which would normally be required on most cats to keep still

u/Touchname 2h ago

Cats aren't impossible to train, just... different...

u/GDRaptorFan 1h ago

Patience and consistency and make a game. They aren’t tiny treat motivated as much as dogs are, my cats like tube treats but you can’t do those over and over in a day! Attention and positive reinforcement through loves work for mine.

I trained my bengal to sit on a bar stool to watch me whenever I cook as I was nervous he would jump up by the stove and get hurt. Plus no one wants cats on surfaces you cook food 🤷‍♀️

None of my cats go on the counter or table. No treats needed or negative discipline like water sprays or yelling, they are trained different! You just have to make it seem like it’s their idea lol

I also trained all my cats to go to the basement when there is a thunderstorm. The minute that pressure drops and there is a big crack of thunder they go running. I was too stressed during tornado warnings (we get about one a month in late spring and summer) worrying about getting my cats with me to the basement! I know chances are near zero a tornado takes my house but it doesn’t stop me from worrying.

I put a cat door to the basement and even if I’m not home, down they go when the winds and thunder kick in lol. Trained them for that and it makes me feel better!

One of my smarty
pants boys 🥰

I got four cats myself. Not really trained them in a serious way, but they all know their names, come to me when I call for them and walk with me when I'm outside. They used to walk with me and my dog, both when me and my SO walked him, but he's unfortunately not with us anymore.

But the cats are and they're very social and stuff, so I feel I succeeded in raising them

I actually like the Churus for clicker training with my cat because she's obsessed with them and I can give her a tiny little squirt at a time.

That is a zebra my dude

u/7i4nf4n 1h ago

Not saying this one is, but it wouldn't be the first animal drugged to be calm during public presentations

u/SafeWillingness5891 3h ago

Why are people saying poor cat? The lady is being gentle and the cat doesn't look mad? Yall know if a cat doesn't like it it will leave right?

u/inkyrail 2h ago

Seriously- anyone thinking that cat is miserable doesn’t know cats.

If a cat doesn’t want to be somewhere, you’ll find out about it by catching two dozen miniature knife wounds. There isn’t a force on earth that will keep a cat in a situation it doesn’t want to be in, short of literal animal cruelty

u/Heavy-Web-9996 2h ago

I often wonder what kind of relationship those people have with their cats lol of course every cat is going to be different, but my boy would totally be okay with this if it was me doing it. He probably would be less tolerant if other people were doing it to him, but I could do whatever I wanted to this creature and he'd be happy because he's getting attention from me 🤣

u/AbortiveWombat 1h ago

You are very lucky. i want a cat like this

u/Heavy-Web-9996 1h ago

It's both a blessing and a curse lol As I was typing that comment, he was sitting on my chest with his forehead pressed against my chin with all his little kitty might, purring like a chainsaw and I wasn't even touching him.

It's cute until it's three in the morning and you have a Velcro kitty licking your eyelids open because he wants love from mom NOW.

u/AbortiveWombat 56m ago

Well now i demand a kitty tax, i wish to see this goofy loveball!

u/Heavy-Web-9996 49m ago

Ask and you shall receive.

u/AbortiveWombat 46m ago

Such a cute furball. I love that belly i would have pet it all day long! Thank you! I wish your cat a healthy life!

u/Heavy-Web-9996 41m ago

I will make sure he gets plenty of belly rubs in your honor today 😌

u/Katrianadusk 1h ago

That's my two girls to a tee. They won't leave even if I am being annoying lol.

My boy on the other hand..he has issues with people breathing the same air he does, or walking near him, or moving in bed, or moving your blanket.. everything really. He will express his disapproval and leave.

u/Heavy-Web-9996 1h ago

On the off chance my boy does get annoyed with me, it results in little "slap fights" where we're gently boxing each other until he runs off for five minutes, forgets or decides he forgives me, and comes back for more attention.

u/Katrianadusk 57m ago

Haha, both of my girls have their quirks like that. My youngest one will pull her claws out and act tough but runs away as soon as I react. My eldest (16) is far too lazy to run away so she will pretend to bite me if her patience has run out.

u/Mickerayla 1h ago

I've built up a rapport with my cats, so I can basically do anything that I want to them - wiggle their bellies, pick them up whenever, hold them like babies, give them hugs, whatever and they'll purr the whole time. They would 100% let me do this. The part I'm most impressed about is that the cat isn't terrified of being outside and around strangers.

u/Heavy-Web-9996 1h ago

It makes quick little physical checks so easy. Need to check his teeth? Cool, let me just grab your cute little face quick and open your mouth. Claw length check? Cool, give me your little mitten, boy-o.

Mine is a long haired, and I used to pay to get him shaved every summer to help him stay cool. One day I decided to test how much this cat actually trusts me, and he handled being shaved at home by me like a champ. Shaving, dematting, med giving, all that stuff that could totally seem like life or death for a less tolerant cat is a breeze with my boy.

When I moved, my house came with a cat. He literally walked in moving day, helped himself to my cat’s food and water and a nap by the fan. Learned from the neighbors that he’d belonged to the resident before the last, an older man who’d died. His family didn’t want him but the neighbors fed him out of pity.

He was the sweetest most patient cat. Neighbor girls loved to play “baby” with him, he’d drift off to sleep while they swaddled and rocked him or rubbed their faces in his chubby belly. The vet techs would argue over who got to have him because he would not even flinch through exams and injections. He had oral stomatitis and needed regular steroid and antibiotic injections on top of getting some extractions.

The only thing he disliked was being hot. The house came with a window unit that had a very deep shelf beneath. He would sit on it and place a paw on the AC to let me know he needed it on. I put a larger table there and a cooling gel pet bed and it was his favorite spot in the house. He did the paw thing for anything he wanted. A paw on your hand for pets, a paw on your shoulder to be carried, on the door to be let out, in his bowl for a refill. He also did not like barking dogs, and the closest thing to an act aggression he ever made was a paw on the top of my chihuahua’s head when he barked. Which surprisingly worked.

I often wondered if it was just his nature or if the man who had him was a cat whisperer, or a bit of both.

Had him for 4 years until cancer. RIP Cat MacSnacks, you were a true gentleman.

u/Alfred_Hitch_ 1h ago

Exactly! A cat will 100% dip if it doesn't want any of that.

u/SafeWillingness5891 24m ago

I love how the little hat lets the ears out

u/MagicSwatson 2h ago

Right, The same way i can just leave my responsibilities (and not get food and comfort)

u/TheHeadlessScholar 33m ago

Experience with their own cats, most likely. Mine will literally refuse to move in protest until I remove the collar I dared try to put on them. Literally just fall over like they died on the spot and not move for more than an hour before I gave in and removed the collar.

u/raginghavoc89 3h ago

That is such a good kitty, he must really love his owner and like the attention. He even has food and his own litter box out there!

u/fokkoooff 2h ago

Every black cat I've had or met has been chill as hell.

u/iwillbeawriterongod 3h ago

That cat pays it's rent.

u/Godly_Recon 3h ago

Cat doesn't seem to give a shit. Even if i looked at my cat in the wrong way, she would throw paws.

u/Sullyville 3h ago

This is my job meow.

u/Mmmelissamarie 2h ago

She know she’s a cutie pie

u/im2high4thisritenow 2h ago

I'll point out that there's not a cat on earth that would sit for this unless they enjoyed it. This is just too adorable. I want that flower cap.

u/rmhollid 3h ago

The cat understood the assignment

u/Lucky_Development359 3h ago

That cat is patiently plotting revenge.

u/ClavicusLittleGift4U 3h ago edited 2h ago

Seeing the chunky boy/girl it is, I believe the pay in food, hugs and long nap times is great.

u/Lucky_Development359 2h ago

All part of the plan

u/senpaistealerx 1h ago

that cat enjoys it

u/extremophilebacteria 2h ago

My cat already smacks me if I only think about pointing at it

u/FrozenH2oh 2h ago

I will watch this every time I see it.

u/phyllis0402 2h ago

Damn, that bow tie the lady did from behind the cat was slick

u/candiecoatedsims 4m ago

That’s exactly what I was thinking!

u/Snake_ly 3h ago

Wouldn't they have the cat's scent and might trigger other cats?

u/TropicalSkysPlants 3h ago

Ever heard of a washer?

u/Sega-Playstation-64 3h ago edited 2h ago

Yeah, cats love being thrown in a dishwasher

u/BulletProofEnoch 3h ago

u/Poraali_15 2h ago

The cat is a paid actor 🫠🫠

u/No-Distribution2043 1h ago

Most of my cats would freak out and would tear that stuff off, except for the short long haired black one. She loves to strut around like she is on a runway.

u/Direct_Syrup_2843 1h ago

u/Cosmic_Soldier38 3m ago

Good kitty

u/EthereumBuddy 3h ago

The cat is a paid tuna model

u/30kWardaddy 3h ago

What's the significance of the cat being black?

u/ohhhtartarsauce 3h ago

? it's just a descriptor... same as the woman being elderly, or the accessories being handcrafted.

u/1DownFourUp 3h ago

For contrast?

u/Gestaltarskiten 3h ago

Contrast

u/LenVT 3h ago

Jeez. Why would someone want to do that to a cat?

u/Patient-Check2622 1h ago

That cat is like a slave laborer working for a slave laborer.  I wonder WTF it did in its last incarnation to deserve this.

u/senpaistealerx 1h ago

deserve what?

u/Vivid_Summer96 2h ago

The cat looks pissed.

u/MeisterFluffbutt 2h ago

You have not been around many pissed cats, have you

u/countrytime-1 3h ago

Poor cat

u/HobbesNJ 3h ago

Seems to not really mind.

Cats generally are very good at not doing things they don't like.

u/raginghavoc89 3h ago

Cats are weird just like people, some love any attention you give them, some hate being looked at.

u/Sassy-irish-lassy 2h ago

I feel like it could have easily left if it wanted to
