When will Reddit realize the battle is lost on this one? Point of view in this context has evolved to simply be a personalized 3rd person narration of events. For example, a kid going crazy running around the room could have a "POV: You consumed too much sugar"

Put the caption doesn't imply it's the ducklings' POV. It's the POV of the whoever thinking the ducklings will sleep well that night. You'd be correct if it's the momma duckling, but incorrect if it's the cameraman's perspective.

Cetaceans for sure. Elephants, apes, or any other large mammal with a large brain. I bet even fish, or more advanced ones, and I’d probably draw the line at reptiles and arthropods which are generally conserving energy

The tumble might actually be done on purpose just for fun.
If they figured out going down, back up, and down again being fun, they definitely figured out the tumble is fun. Animals are smarter than we think. Their intelligence is just on another level than ours.
They might be dumb as rocks in human situations, but ooooh man, nature is so much more intelligent than us in so many situations.

I mean there is many videos of ducks and other types of birds doing the same thing and also going back up to do it again. So it being an accident is pretty unlikely, especially as they keep going back up and doing it again

Probably isn't. There are plenty of examples of ducks doing this, and theres corvids doing slides on bottlecaps on the snow too.

Our cats have an area about 5 feet above our bed that they can use as their own little playground. We installed a series of wall-mounted platforms leading up to it so they could get there more easily—and, more importantly, so we wouldn't get surprised by late-night "air raids" whenever one of them decided to jump down.
The funny part is that they had already figured out how to reach that spot before we installed the platforms. Our younger cat, in particular, treated it like a game: she'd jump down onto the bed, immediately climb all the way back up, and then jump down again, over and over, purely because it seemed like fun.
