A few days ago I ordered a used-very good condition 13' 256gb wifi only m4 pro for 800usd. They actually sent me a 1tb cellular m5 that has a battery cycle count of 1, so someone just opened the box and turned it on then sent it back. I looked it up and this model is worth 2400usd. Is there any real differences between the 2 models?

Hi my iPad Air 4th gen is slowing down quite a bit and I'm looking at saving up for a replacement! I know I want a 13" one since I feel like the 11" is too small... But what generation should I get?

I'm looking to balance price + longevity + power. I don't want to get anything too powerful if I don't have to, since I would only use it for Procreate.

Thoughts/recommendations?

hi guys i have an ipad pro thats 2nd gen and it’s 11in. this model came out in 2020, so basically 6 years ago. it has 1tb in storage. the trade-in value of my ipad is $255, which wouldn’t be much if i wanted to get a new one. i don’t really have issues with the ipad, i only really use it for roblox, music, and note taking (mainly note taking tho). would it be worth getting another ipad pro??????? obviously one with a m4 or m5 chip. i’m just afraid of it not being able to catch up with the current updates and stuff like that. please lmk💔💔 i would appreciate it and i would also like to read your opinions🙏

Is it a type of glass (Nano-Texture) that has to be manage "too carefully" that at the end is complicated to keep it clean without scratching it and permanently damage it? Just by the fact that I have to buy a special type of cloth to clean it, is a bad start, thank you for the feedback

Currently debating whether to get the iPad Pro 11-inch or 13-inch. I would mainly be using it for taking notes during lectures and productivity. The bigger screen is appealing, but not sure if it would be too bulky. I also heard the Magic Keyboard is a better fit with the bigger iPad. Could anyone give me a recommendation on which model to choose?

I know this is a stupid problem to have.

But can some confirm if this is a good deal.

I have never owned an ipad and not sure if I need the nano texture. I will mainly use it indoors, airports, car. Primarily to watch movies or edit photos (lightroom).

Upgrading from 2018 Pro. Concerned the M1 won’t be supported as long. But my options below, what would you choose?

11-inch M1 iPad Pro, 256GB cellular — £300, iPad only
11-inch M2 iPad Pro, 512GB cellular — £575, including Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil 2
I’d need to buy a used Magic Keyboard for the M1, probably around £100.

I mainly use an iPad for writing, browsing and YouTube, so I don’t need huge performance. Is the newer M2, extra storage and complete bundle worth the extra money, or is the M1 the obvious value choice?

Hi everyone, recently I got interested in drawing, saw i start looking for an iPad, I did found an iPad m1 pro and I did like it but I found it price kinda expensive(600€+).

I'm planning to use it for drawing, university stuff, taking notes, a little bit of sql, and consuming content like YouTube, reading books, etc...

Just to know, I dont have any apple devices.

I’ve owned a 2018 iPad Pro since 2019, and it’s always been sitting at home, never dropped once. I’ve always kept the case and screen protector on since day one. The battery has been gradually deteriorating. As of now, we can probably watch YouTube on the brightest setting for about 5 to 6 hours, and that’s it. Should I replace the battery? (According to the website, Apple estimates the cost of replacing the battery to be between $120 and $180.) Can anyone advise me if it’s even worth replacing the battery anymore?

Im on ios 18 and it says its compatible with ios 17 and higher but why cant i download it?

I'm trying to find something with a really good battery. The one I have now only lasts two hours when I'm watching YouTube or regular TV.

I wanted a new case that would hold my Apple Pencil in place while carrying my 13" M4 iPad. The cheap Moko case I got before I got a pencil just isn't doing it for me. Unfortunately the Paperlight bumper case I settled on is actually heavier than the Moko! 159g more. I hate weight and I wasn't expecting it to be more.

I'd like to know what you are all using and how much it weighs. For some reason no case manufacture lists the case weight in the specs 🤔

Me gustaría saber que fundas usan con sus ipad pro los que dibujan o usan el Apple pencil pro, estuve viendo las Zugu pero vi quejas de que interfiere con el pencil, luego estuve buscando un buen rato y todas las que encontré tienen imanes y algún comentario de que interfieren al dibujar o escribir, al final compre una marca Nillkin el problema es que esta hecha de un plástico duro malisímo (lo cual me sorprendió porque confiaba en esa marca) y no quede satisfecho.

I know the price hike is already in effect, but I found an open box 11” M5 Pro model on Best Buy for $844 in excellent condition. I have an old iPad Pro 3rd Gen that they are now giving $175 trade in. That makes it $669. Though Apple is also doing education sale with my iPad being a trade in at $215 as well. Should I snag one of these? Or wait until Christmas? Mostly wanting to get the best for my trade in as not sure what I’d get for it selling normally. So far the 3rd gen has been worth keeping in comparison to other iPad specs until the M5. Appreciate the help.

I’m using iPad Pro 13-inch (M5) with the latest software (26.5.2) as well as a Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro, bought this year.

I work in the medical field and, to write medical records, especially discharges, I am often repeating similar things over and over again: what to watch out for, name/number of my hospital, and certain explanation statements for what certain diseases are. Therefore, back when using a personal laptop, I used downloadable software that would text expand— basically, I would type a phrase like ;tu and once done typing, it would auto-populate my preferred expansion. It’s the same concept as Apple’s built in Text Replacement system but for much longer statements. It also, since it was a downloadable software, worked for any and all apps/programs and synced across devices. This worked well when I was exclusively using ONE device to write records and it was my personal device.

I have recently switched to a new hospital in which I will rotate between several computers as well as my personal iPad (my work ‘computer’). I need a software that will work between iOS as well as several Windows work computers. My solution was the app TextExpander— it’s the only text expansion I’ve found that is cloud-based, can be added as a Chrome extension (therefore work on all my work computers), and has an iOS app. The problem I’ve run into: it works on the iPad keyboard, but NOT the Magic Keyboard, basically rendering it ineffective.

TLDR; does anyone know of any software or workaround for me to add a new text keyboard to the Magic Keyboard? Or a way for a text expansion software to work on my iPad that also syncs the library within a cloud so i can use with Chrome devices?

I am looking for an alternative to the Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro 13. I just don't like how if you detatch it from the keyboard it's just the iPad with no protection. I was thinking about getting the Keychron K3 Max keyboard. I just don't want to carry around a second case for protection when I detatch it from the Magic Keyboard. If anyone has any suggestions they would be much appreciated.

(edit: forgot to mention what was I using it for. I was looking for an iPad that could do the basic stuff (surf the web, watch youtube, and take some notes with the apple pencil); While I’ve considered buying a Base iPad, I had one before, and I wasn’t a fan of rhe non-laminated display)

Recently while watching YouTube videos and charging, the iPad gets extremely hot. I don’t recall this happening a month ago. Is it due to the latest update or is this normal?
