Would you take $10 million but all of your friends and family (including your partner) forget you permanently? This also prevents you from ever communicating with them in the future as well.

To make it interesting, you are able to donate some of your newfound money to them.

There’s a button. Pushing this will erase all human male libido and make every male except the button pusher (if male) on earth impotent going forward. If you press it, you will be given $10 billion. How will this change the world?

Upvotes

Pressing this button will completely turn off the sexual drive in all human males (except button pusher if male) going forward and make them impotent. For reproduction, males would need to have their sperm artificially extracted. Pressing this button will give you $10 billion.

Do you press this button? If so, how do you think this will change the world?

[No Loopholes] You Have 5 Years to Grow a YouTube Channel to 100,000 Subscribers. If You Fail, Your Most Embarrassing Photos and Videos Will Be Released. What's Your Strategy?

Let's lay down some ground rules.

First, buying YouTube channels is not allowed. Buying subscribers, views, or getting shoutouts or promotions from bigger YouTubers is also not allowed. You have to grow the channel completely on your own through your own content, consistency, and strategy.

You can create a channel in any genre you want, whether it's gaming, commentary, education, documentaries, music, tech, history, or anything else. Your goal is to grow that channel from zero to 100,000 subscribers within 5 years.

There are a few limitations. You are allowed to edit your own videos from the start, but you can't hire an editor until your channel reaches 10,000 subscribers. Once you hit that milestone, you're free to bring on editors to help improve your upload schedule and production quality. You also can't hire scriptwriters until you reach 50,000 subscribers. Until then, every script, video idea, thumbnail concept, and upload has to come from you.

Aside from those restrictions, everything else is fair game. You can use social media to promote your videos, learn new skills, improve your thumbnails and titles, collaborate with creators around your size, and experiment with different content styles. The only rule is that your growth has to be earned naturally.

You're in a dangerous situation where you realize that the only way to get out unscaved, is to convince a boyfriend (of someone you thought was single) that you're a homosexual. What would you do?

If you fail to be convincing, then you're worse off than what you'd be acting normal. Neither is good.

You wake up as your head of state, you’ll be like this for the next 5 years, what will you be doing?

Your physical body’s in a coma and after the 5 years is up the head of stead dies instantly.

So for example I’ll be King Charles for 5 years, truly a horrible situation!

But I’d probably divorce Camilla, make a bunch of speeches about how bad the far right are and how we should help the poor, also make the lands owned by the crown common land or wildlife reserves.

I’d return the kohinoor diamond to the original family, I’d apologise for my families history and suggest a bank holiday about it.

I’ll also treat all my grandchildren equally and visit them often, try to mend bridges with Harry and Meghan, ignore what William and Kate say and make speeches about family and other stuff.

Oh and I’ll attempt to ban the House of Lords and have Britain not be dragged into wars to the best of my abilities.

When I go back in my body It’ll be a while for me to get to normal, King Charles will be dead that day, and I’ll attempt to rebuild my life.

[No Loopholes] All good looking people turn very unattractive, and all unattractive people turn very good looking... what happens now?

Imagine if, tomorrow, every single good looking person on the planet woke up to find they have become ugly looking, and it's permanent. At the same time, all unattractive people wake up to find they are very good looking. (Average looking people remain average.)

How quickly would things change for these two groups? And what exactly would change? What things WOULDN'T change? This could be an interesting discussion.

[No Loopholes] You have a bank account where the money in it doubles everyday

You have a bank account where the money in it doubles everyday at 8 am. You start with $1, or the equivalent in your country. So on day 2 at 8 am you have $2 day 3 $4 day 4 $8 and so on. However you can not put in any money only take it out. What ever remains at 8 am is doubled. This will continue as long as there is money in there. If you ever run out of money that's it. You do not get anymore. The catch is as time goes on more and more people know who you are and will always want to be your "friend". Eventually you will become one of the most well known people in the world. You can not avoid people. Even when you have things delivered you will still have at least minimal interaction with the driver. After all your famous. Do you accept this? How long do you let it double before you start spending it? As with all rich people today there will be those that are jealous and say you should give away all of your money to the poor.

Rules:

Rule 1: You must always have money in your account for it to double

Rule 2: You can not add more money. You can only withdraw the money

Rule 3: Once the money leaves the account it does not double. So give you give your best friend $100 the next day it will still be $100.

Rule 4: Once you run out of money it is over you do not get anymore.

Rule 5: There is no way anyone can steal your money from your bank account. Not even the government can get your money while it is in the account.

Rule 6: The longer it doubles the more "popular" you become.

[No Loopholes] US Constitutional Amendment: Medicare for all? Or no federal income tax on individuals?

Two amendments are before you. Pick one or the other. Now with UPDATES!

  1. Medicare for all. The US institutes a policy of universal health care that extends Medicare to every US citizen. For the purposes of argument, the cost will be approximately $3 trillion per year, and will adjust with inflation. About one-third of that will be raised through new taxes, the rest from rearranging the budget and eliminating tax breaks for corporations (but not individuals). UPDATE: Apparently I can't read! It's $30T over 10 years. *punches self in face* So $3T/year, not $30T as my original post said.
  2. No individual income taxes ever. All federal income taxes on individual US citizens are eliminated. All federal agencies/programs/efforts associated with levying and collecting individual income taxes are shut down. The federal budget and/or corporate tax codes will have to be revised to account for approximately $3 trillion in lost revenue. UPDATE: Since the issue of billionaires was raised, if you prefer then let's set a floor of $100M in income in a year (from all sources) before you get taxed.

[No Loopholes] What is the most complex song you could sing perfectly on the spot, if money was on the line?

Upvotes

Forget this "gun to the head" stuff. Let's try some positive reinforcement.

You're stopped on the street one day with an offer: sing the most complex song you can, on the spot. If you mess up once, you have to pay $100. If you succeed, you win some amount of money. You can also choose to walk away and not risk anything.

The amount you can win increases with the complexity of the song you choose. Complexity is determined by things like how sophisticated the lyrics are, how long the song is, how difficult the melody is to sing, how quickly the song is sung, etc. Something like a perfect rendition of "Rap God" would net you $100,000 USD.

If you pick a song that's too easy (such as "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star"), you get nothing even if you succeed. You will not be told how complex a song needs to be before it can earn money; you just need to go for the gusto. (The point is to try your best, and not just go for the minimum required to get money.) If your song is sufficiently complex, the minimum payout is $500 USD.

Some rules:

- You need to get all of the lyrics correct. If you start singing an incorrect lyric, then quickly shift into the correct one, that still counts as a loss.

- The one exception to the above rule is if the original song has something like a preposition in it that's barely even voiced, where the exact word is hard to determine. If you use a similar-sounding but incorrect word, you won't be penalized.

- You do not have to sing in the original key, but once you choose a key, you must stick to it.

- You may move notes into a higher or lower octave if it's necessary for your vocal range, so long as they hit the right pitch.

- You don't need to perfectly nail scoops and other minor bits of flair from the original song.

- You don't need to nail pitches that are difficult to discern in the original song.

- If there are long stretches of no singing in the original song, you may shorten them and resume singing earlier. You don't have to wait them out.

- You must match the tempo of the original song.

- You can pause for breath if you are running out of air.

- If your pitch wavers a little due to nerves, this won't count as a loss.

Do you take the challenge, and if so, what song are you singing?

Serious Replies Only 5 Minutes in the Pool of Terror for 5 Billion?

A genie gives you an offer of 5 billion dollars for 5 minutes of your time.

The genie explains that your opportunity to win will require you to spend 5 minutes floating on the surface of a massive pitch black arena pool that is 1000 feet deep and half a mile wide by half a mile long. In this pool is a 300 foot long giant squid that if it senses you, will attack and eat you. The squids spawning area is random.

Do you take the offer?

8 million bucks but you’re paralyzed half the time.

you instantly get 8 million dollars, tax free, deposited into your bank account. However, starting now, you are paralyzed half the time. You will get 200 milliseconds normal, then the next 200 milliseconds you will be completely paralyzed, frozen in your current state. You will be incapable of speech as well. all things that you are holding will not drop, due to your muscles still retaining their original form. To others, you will seem slightly robotic. All of your internal organs will function perfectly normally during your paralyzation period. Do you take the deal?

If you were omnipotent, how would you change your life? Not talking about world changes, but your personal life. Would you just enhance it or change dramatically?

Personally I would just enhance my life. I still want to have something resembling a life here on Earth. I'd earn U$ 100 mil net, move to another country, find and charm the girl of my life (I'd not make her like me, but would change to be the man of her dreams), have tons of kids and live to be a good husband and father.

Of course I'd enhance my body too, see infrared and ultraviolet, night vision, hearing from 1Hz to 65,000Hz, 10x stronger, faster, more reflexes, energy, 100% healthy at all levels, change my confidence so no external thing can ever bother me because I'd know my worth beyond the shadow of a doubt, give myself an aura reading so I know who are good people and who are bad, lie detection, etc.

And you, what would you do?

r/hypotheticalsituation 11h ago

The only way you can die, is due to an external factor, for example an accident, getting eaten by a predator, shot/stabbed, or struck by lightning. Your cells simply won't decline in function or "age". What would you do?

You're in Disneyland with thousands of other people. A special game is announced to all guests. Your goal is to be the last person in Disneyland. If someone gets touched by another person, they are out. What is your strategy for winning? (More info in description.)

- There is a giant speaker that plays to all of the guests at Disneyland. They all get the following announcement.

- The goal is to be the final person in Disneyland and the winner shall receive 10 million dollars.

- The way someone gets eliminated from the game is if they get touched by another person. If someone is touched, they and their car are automatically teleported back to their place of residence and are officially out of the game.

- The game will start within 30 minutes of the first announcement. This gives players time to strategize, hide, or leave the park if they don't wish to participate.

- The games are suspended for 20 minutes each during 9 AM, 1 PM, and 7 PM in order to hand out free food for the guests to eat. During this time, if you tag a player, they are not out of the game.

- The bounds are inside the official Disneyland Theme Park. California Adventure and any other place such as the hotels and stores nearby that are not in the official park are not allowed.

- If someone leaves the official park, they are also officially out of the competition.

---

If this game existed, what would be your strategy in order to win the game?

You are given the ability to instantly know the entirety of someone else’s memory.

You are given the ability to instantly know the entirety of someone else’s memory.

There are no strings attached. This is a free ability. However, you can only use it in a very specific situation. Rap battles. You and your opponent must be 100% engaged in a rap battle. If this is true, you will instantly know all their memories.

What are you doing with this power? How are you maximizing your profits? What are some unusual benefits or consequences?

In exchange for 3 wishes, you are to fight a prime version of yourself to the death.

The person you will fight to the death is the hypothetically peak version of yourself.

They have the same life experiences and knowledge as you do but went through some rough self improvement. Either physically or mentally.

Fairness is enforced. If you wish to fight him/her with your barehands, then so will he/she.

Use of weapons are permitted but so will he/she.

For 3 wishes, Do you accept?

You Get To Be The World's Most Famous & Successful Music Artist Selling Out Any Venue You Play, But No One EVER Shows Up To Your Shows And You Have To Perform Every Time

Pretty much the same as the subject header to this post: you're the world's most famous music artist. Top-selling and you sell out every venue you play at, but outside of roadies, assistants and tech crews absolutely no one shows up to your shows. Not a single fan in the audience. And you *have* to perform live, each and every show.

Outside of this you reap the benefits that most celebrities get: private jets, luncheons and parties with other famous people, all too polite to bring up or ask about the fact that no one oddly ever shows up to your shows. No one ever attends your signing events, either. In joint events with other artists and celebrities, none of your fans show up.

Do you accept that life?
