Planning to buy an Arebos inflatable hot tub (2m diameter).

Use cases:

Summer:
- As heated (when needed) mini swimming pool under a bioclimatic gazebo to partially protect it.

Winter
- in the attic in a spare room with tiled floor, roof inclined window, room ventilation for humidity protection, tap water to fill the tub and water evacuation for drainage.

I have solar panels with battery.

Structure wise it's a brand new house with concrete floor in attic but will ask the construction company.

Do you think it's a good idea for 380 Euros?

I have a bunch of funused filters from my old hot tub that I kept hold of when I bought the wave spa tahoe. I didnt realise that the old filters are non threaded and the new fitting is a threaded screw on. Is there anything I can do to make use of the old filters? Is there an adapter i can buy? Or can the old ones be modified by taking off a screw fitting from the newer filters and adding it to the non threaded?

We have a small four person hot tub, and use chlorine granules as a sanitizer. I do a pretty good job of keeping the chemicals balanced daily.

One of the things our hot tub store guy recommended was leaving the lid off for 20 minutes right after I had the chlorine powder.

How necessary is this really, and if it is necessary, then wouldn’t I also need the lid off if I have chlorine TABLETS in?

WE USUALLY HAVE AN HOUR IN THE HOT TUB BEFORE BED, WHICH MEANS I HAVE TO STAY UP ABOUT 20 MINUTES LATER THAN THE WIFE AND WAIT FOR THAT PERIOD TO EXPIRE.

(On an unrelated note, I just learned that if you have the caps lock on when you voice dictate on your phone, it comes out all caps! 😂)

Our Nordic hot tub is set to 100 and was at 108 this morning AND still running. From what we can gather, it has possibly been running constantly for an undetermined amount of time. It has been so hot, so we haven't been using it. My husband noticed yesterday evenIng that it was running and over temperature. He checked a few things, then heard it running at 4am and turned it off.

What would cause a hot tub to heat over the set temperature and run constantly? We live in the boonies. Last time we had an issue, the place we bought it from never responded to our calls. Thank you!

I’ve been reading this sub for months and haven’t found the answer I’m looking for.
We’d like to add a hot tub to our backyard and just need some opinions and recommendations by people who already have a hot tub, not a sales person working on commission.

What we’re looking for:

1. A small tub as it will only be the two of us.
   
2. A lounger.
   
3. We’d like to stay at $10k or less for the actual tub.
   
4. Prefer 240v
   
5. We have a fairly short winter but it does get below freezing.

In our area, we have access to Hot Spring, Jacuzzi, CalSpa, Nordic, DreamMaker, Bullfrog, Catalina and Dr. Wellness.

We have an older SR-4 air switch controller that is making this god awful buzzing noise. I took it apart sprayed everything with WD-40 specialized to clean it up and it did not work…. I’m dead set on fixing this but I don’t know how or which part to replace. Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this or where the noise is coming from? Praying on the power of the internet for this one haha

Hello, i'm new to the spa world and I am looking to replace my filter which came with my spa. I have a Maple Spas M420 (made in Quebec, a subsidiary of Be Well Spas I understand). I want to purchase a compatible filter online but the current filter has no markings. The manufacturer of course provided ZERO information about the filter specs in their documentation.

It is 13.5'' x 5'' and has a threaded bottom attachment. Please see pictures.

Even if it works I imagine it's only for not very cold climates? The specs show down to 5f. But in canada for example, people keep their hot tubs running below that surely? Is it going to be the same case as HVAC where you want to use the heat pump most of the time but during extreme cold you still need resistive heating? Do people actually install 2 heaters in that case (one HP one resistive)?

The heat pump only needs 12awg wire but if I need a traditional heater plumbed as well then I would still need to run 6awg..... So would it be worth it even?

Bought a used Montclair hot tub last week. Loving it. But I need some advice on maintaining it. What chemicals to use, how often and anything else I may need to know.

Does anyone have any thoughts or recommendations on the good land hot tub. There isn’t much on Reddit and all the reviews on YouTube seem to be paid advertisements or Airbnb that have this as an amenity. I am looking into buying one but the wood burning part seems both cool and annoying I’m also in the northern Midwest where our winters are cold. Any insight would be helpful. The reason I like it I don’t want to run wires and it looks beautiful, I had sat in one before but I’m curious if it stays warm and how annoying the whole process is.

I currently have a 8X8 hot tub on a concrete slab.

I would like to build a 10'X16' lean to style insulated shed around it.

I am concerned about moisture.

I was thinking one of those humidity activated fans like they put in greenhouses, and a dehumidifier.

Maybe closed cell spray foam, with cement board or fiberglass‑reinforced plastic or maybe PVC wall panels.

Thoughts?

Am I asking for a mold and mildew nightmare?

We just moved to a new house and inherited a 6 year old swim spa. After investing quite a bit of money to replace the old cover and levers, the whole thing stopped working… we replaced the pump, but that broke within days, and now repair ppl are telling us it might be the wiring. Spa is on its own breaker box (pictured) - does this look problematic to anyone? What should we look for? Apparently everything had been running fine before (according to previous owners) and we are at a loss bc this is turning into such a money pit.

Contemplating a 3 person sodium chloride hot tub but I'm new to this world. Probably me using it for therapy reasons (bad back) in Tennessee (hot summer, dark winters). Any lessons learned, advice or biggest regret on your purchase to learn from? I have a small fenced in yard. Getting 220 to it not an issue but right now all I have is grass.

New Hot Springs Beam, great tub, but already has these stains all over the place. They’re in every seat and all over the foot well—they look AWFUL.

That being said, time to do whatever I can to fix it! Dealer said try absorbic acid trick, so gonna try that.

A different Hot Springs dealer said this kind of stain wont come out at all. Any recommendations? Experience?

Hey guys, I'm planning my garden remodelation and I would like to know if its possible to install a hot tub inside an enclosed garden room without it rotting over time, managing the humidity 24/7 with a humidity sensor and an extractor or a CMV. Thank you in advance

Have a 6 year old hot tub with Balboa internals.

Went to do spring maintenance 6 weeks ago and it was dead.

Found that mice (and a snake, RIP mice) had lived in the lining over the winter and chewed up the topside control panel wires, as well as the expanding foam on the backside of the control panel so there was some moisture infiltration between the panel and its overlay.

Took out the topside panel and repaired its wires, they all show current flow on a multimeter.

In the meantime, turned the power back on without the topside control attached and nothing happened.

Hooked the topside control back up with the repaired wires and nothing happened.

Got out the multimeter and broadly speaking, power is flowing where it's supposed to on the control board (have 220v on the hot bus, have voltage on the far side of the fuses I could find, all of which are clear).

The non-contact tester also shows there's power in the wires leading to the pump.

I buy a replacement control panel (which is a clusterfuck and why this is now 6 weeks later), hook it up, and nothing (yes, I checked to make sure the power was on).

What's my next step?

Hi all, looking for tips on how to correctly set up the Lay-Z Spa Santorini again after the winter.

Originally bought last year. It was emptied and deflated in November last year, but not sure we got all water out of the pump (don't think we did a back wash/dry with air). There was a small amount of mould/staining on the inside of the tub when we reinflated it that we have cleaned with the pink stuff cleaner and a vinegar/water mix. The inside of the inflatable cover had pink/purple mould that we have also cleaned, including with mould spray (though some staining remains).

We have fitted a new filter.

Do we need to do anything about the pump/internal plumbing? Seeing conflicting stuff about pipe flushing cleaners online and it can be hard to source this product where we are.

I also don't see any mention of chemicals to clean inside pump etc. on the LayZSpa website - it only mentions the backwashing from what I can see. I called their helpline and they recommeneded descaling the pump either with their descaling product or by lying it on its side and putting in white vinegar for 12 hours. Is that enough to kill off any problems?

Am I over thinking things and it's enough to clean the pump with vinegar as suggested and then fill with clean water and shock?
