Ok so I studied nearly 5 years of 6 to half of 9 grade in the *school name not mentioned*and it's been 2 years since I left that school and I'm now in 10th grade so 2 months ago I visited city A (my old hometown )which btw I changed schools because I moved cities and so when I went to city A I decide to visit my old school at their summer vacation party (which it isn't that great just a few food stalls and you are half of the time stuck in the classroom to play games with your teacher) and meet with my old friends and teachers since I nearly spent half a decade there

So this is how it goes,

I contacted one of my best friends and told her the night before that I'm coming yesterday she's super excited and happy , I'm also very excited so I persuaded my grandad and uncles since I went alone to city A and my parents are in city B so I get to my school very excited how the day's gonna go

I went to the first floor where my class was, I met my teachers and they were shocked and happy to see me and told me where my class was sitting and then I met everyone

Now here's what happens next,

The coordinator comes in the class and asks who's *my name*and I tell her It's me

She says that the principal is calling me downstairs to the principals office

I go down to her assistant and she tells me

"WHY DID YOU SHOW UP LIKE THIS?"

(Btw I met some of my classmates but not my 3 closest friends since now cause I was early)

She says who are you to come uninvited without telling the school ( which this part I understand but not quite I know Schools can have visitors rules but I was not aware of ts ,since I always witnessed my seniors coming to school to surprise their teachers and friends)

She then scolds me that I have no right to do this

MIND YOU AGAIN I SPENT HALF A DECADE THERE( everyone there knows me since I was also the one getting most of the good grades )

then she makes me sit outside while she asks me to dial my mother's number she doesn't pick up and she makes me sit outside where there are no fans

THEN SHE COMPLETELY IGNORED ME !

AT THIS POINT I'M PRAYING THAT MY MOM PICKS UP HER CALL ,SO I TEXT HER THAT PICK UP the CALL AND FINALLY SHE PICKS IT UP

MY MOM IS OBVIOUSLY MAD AND SHE SAYS A LOT TO HER AND SPITS HER ANGER OUT THROUGH THE PHONE

AFTER THAT THEY STILL DON'T LET ME MEET MY FRIENDS AND FORCE ME TO SIT IN THE SCORCHINGLY HOT SEATS WHILE I SEE EVERYONE ELSE PLAYING AND HAVING FUN AT THE PARTY(which I don't even mind I just wanna meet my friends)

LIKE MOTHER FUCKERS LET ME NET MY GOD-DAMNED FRIENDS

AFTER THAT I SAT THERE FOR AN HOUR OR 2 AND THEN THE PRINCIPAL COMES

AND I KID YOU NOT THE HATEFUL WORDS SHE SAID TO ME

"how dare you come uninvited"(you dumbass this is not done vivp mask party it's just a simple school day where kids are allowed to CHILL instead of studying)

"Did the school taught you this?'"(UMM NO ACTUALLY THE SCHOOL TAUGHT ME THAT HIGHER CLASS PEOPLE ARE EVERYTHING

FOR EXAMPLE I KID YOU NOT THE ENTIRE SCHOOL PRACTICED A YEAR FOR SPORTS GALA AND WHO IS THE AUDIENCE? THE MF SCHOOL OWNER AND HIS 3 YEAR OLD SON

NOT TO MENTION HE HAD 3 OF HIS DAUGHTERS IN THE SCHOOL SO YOU CAN IMAGINE HOW THAT WENT )

I was so hurt that my eyes were stinging

AND THEN WHEN MY FRIENDS FOUND OUT THEY CAME DOWNSTAIRS TO MEET ME

THAT MF DIDN'T LET THEM MEET ME or come close (because of me my friends were not that much allowed to come downstairs)

BUT YEAH THAT'S HOW I SPENT MY 3 HOUR TRIP ON THE SOFA WITH MY FRIENDS STARTING AT ME HOPELESS

(BTW THEY TOLD MY MOM THAT I WOULD GET 15 MINUTES TO MEET THEM WHICH I DIDNT GET) I was legit so I scared that I couldn't even have the courage to go back home

Then I got up and went to the gate hoping that they would not see me ,my friends came there and I started bawling

AND NOT EVEN THERE A TEACHER SHOOED MY FRIENDS AWAY FROM ME ON THE GODDAM GATE

this is the kind of school where if you're free was late by a month you were forced to stand outside your class for everyone to see for the whole day and the girl next to me has the same problem that day and she was not allowed to enjoy with her friends because her fee was a bit late

now I don't know what to say please let me know how you feel and please correct me if I'm wrong

I live in the US and my school offers both the IB diploma and many AP courses. Not a lot of kids at my school earn the ib diploma, and even if I do I’m worried because it’s not as readily accepted in the US. I’d rather take AP and personalize the courses to my college interests, but I’m worried that colleges will reject me because it might look like it took the “easier” option ( I know it’s still very difficult ). Will I be at a disadvantage in college apps if I take AP instead of the IB diploma when my school offers both

I’m a high school student currently working on founding an initiative focused on providing technical literacy opportunities to students from low-income households.

The goal of this program is to introduce students to programming, web development, and technology through a structured, beginner-friendly curriculum. We want to help students build confidence with technology, create their own projects, and develop the mindset of builders and problem-solvers.

We are currently working on partnering with an NGO to help connect with students and make this program accessible to those who would benefit from it most.

As we develop the program, we are looking for passionate students who would be interested in volunteering as tutors and mentors. You do not need to be an expert. We are looking for people who enjoy teaching, explaining concepts, and helping others learn.

Volunteers would help with areas such as:

• Teaching programming fundamentals
• Helping students build small projects
• Supporting learners during sessions
• Sharing their own experiences with technology and learning

This is a great opportunity for students interested in computer science, education, entrepreneurship, or simply creating a positive impact in their communities.

The girl I had a crush on for two years in school joined the same community college as mine . I thought she would move out with her friends . Might be the greatest motivation to attend college

Since freshman year( I’m an upcoming sophomore) I’ve seen a lot of videos, especially from accounts like the, “ The Ultimate Ivy League Guide,” that says how to start one or mentions it. I’ve seen other videos talking about passion projects from student that got into prestigious school, etc. Still, I’m very confused about what’s a really a passion or how to start one. Could y’all please help me understand what it is? How do I start one?

Okay, this has been bugging me for the past few days and I need to get it off my chest + get some outside opinions.

About a week ago I was at a conference and two Snapchat accounts with the exact same Bitmoji added me. I thought it was weird so I ignored both and didn’t add them back I just let it sit there.

A few days after I got home (around last Wednesday/Thursday), one of them re-added me and it popped up at the top of my friends list. I got suspicious and added both back at the same time. Hours later I got “Hy” messages from both accounts. I didn’t reply to either and immediately unadded them.

Now today I check my requests and the same account added me again. Plus a brand new account with the display name “why” also added me. Tried to add the “why” account back and it said it was deactivated. Could be a person or a bot, i’m very unsure.

Separately but around the same time: Before my past partner and I broke up, he and his best friend shared a gaming account that followed me on TT. While I was at the conference I had my profile views turned off for a couple days and finally decided to just turn them on. that same shared gaming account viewed my profile. They didn’t unfollow or remove me as a follower. And i lowkey thought that was weird

I’m not 100% saying it’s my ex or his friend… but IDK! Has anyone else dealt with something like this? Is this normal spam or does it sound like someone is trying to mess with me. Any advice on what to do? I am still in highschool btw so PLS don’t butcher me in the replies

So i’ve went to the same school from gr 4-11… and I am moving to a new school in Gr 12. It’s my choice completely because I had a major falling out with my best friend,and things got pretty nasty. I'm theatre kid, so when my school did Mean Girls of course I joined. One thing you need to know is that any play/muscials have to go thur the principal first, she apporved of it (this is important). If you don't know Mean Girls regardless of high school or not, there is vulger words. party scenes, and even topics of more mature side. We where fine cussing, doing these scene for almost three months, and even 2 shows, but closing night it wasn't fine. She was there, and took many of the teachers words for saying "bad" words that were fine for the entire three months.

So its closing night, its half way through the show, we all told stay in the green room, okay is there anything go on bad out there? No we get told stop cussing because she "never" approved it and there was too "many kids" (there was maybe 15 out of 250) She never read over the script, never been to one rehearsal, and now you want us to change us cussing last minute. We still had to do it even tho mutiple lines and almost one song was messed up due to her, not to mention many actors where crying on stage because of this, durning scenes that should have had crying because of her. I went crying to my mother after this because I was so mad I started to cry. Lets say World burn hit harder due us being all mad.

After this she clammed she never approved of it and nevered read the script, and didn't know that there was so much cussing and vulgar words (the world tampon was vulgar...)

So if you ever how to make a bunch theatre kids hate you, you tell them to change a show last show and last act. Lets just all of the theatre deparment hates her.

Should even teenage boys be paying for their first dates? As a 17 F, on all the dates I've been on, the guys have paid, whether we're dating or not, even when the restaurant is expensive.

I also know that the media portrays this idea that the guy would always have to pay for the date, but I always thought that was for adults who have stable jobs.

I'm curious what everyone's stance is on this, because some of my friends say it is the bare minimum to pay for food, even in high school.
