What are Kamomedai's weakness that you think cost them the game against Ichibayashi in Semifinals? (2013 Spring Nationals)

Of course, we know Ichibayashi beat Fukurodani in the Finals. And we also know that Fukurodani's weakness is Bokuto's tantrums and mood swings.

But what about Kamomedai? We saw them play a full game against Karasuno.

What are some of the major weaknesses you can point out that may be scouted by Ichibayashi?

Ichibayashi beat Kamomedai in the Semifinals. But we never saw the game, and even the scores.

So what are your headcanons and gut feel about this?

I just finished watching Haikyuu!!, and honestly, it has become my #1 favorite anime.…

I haven't watched many anime because I'm currently preparing for a highly competitive exam. But every single character in Haikyuu!! motivated me to work even harder and become a better version of myself…

When you read or watch a show only once or twice, it is easy to not notice them and their contribution.

It does not need to be from karasuno. It could be any character.

Like, my pick is takeda. Casual fans don't really ignore him but they easily underestimate the amount of contribution he has. I genuinely think he has more hand in karasuno being where they are now than any other character, including Hinata and kageyama. Those practice matches gave karasuno the necessary experience and as furudate sensei emphasized so many times, experience is very crucial.

Who would you say is not as appreciated?

You might be a bit confused about my best duo being asahi and tsukishima even though they don't have much interection. But the little ones they do have are some of my favorite. Like the one in the training camp where asahi talked about him and tsukishima being the main rival to Hinata and asahi thinking tsukishima is slowly becoming the cornerstone of the blocking department and asahi also complimenting tsukishima and tsukishima had a freaking blush? Tsukishima?

Well, anyway, that's my take. I really like these small interaction between them.

I’m slowly but surely switching back to physical media, and this year the first series was released as a box set. It included a booklet and five character cards. I couldn’t resist

So, I’m a big big fan of Haikyuu and I want to get my brother into it as well (he hasn’t watched any sports anime yet). He told me he’d consider watching it, if 5 episodes are enough to convince him. He said they don’t necessarily have to be the first five eps but i dont wanna spoil him too much with other episodes.

I’m thinking an episode or multiple episodes with both comedy and action volleyball (slight emphasis on comedy for him). Do you guys think the first five will be good enough or should i mix in different episodes (preferably limited to s1 ofc)?

After so many rereads, this is what I always feel.

Don't get me wrong, he had a phenomenal game vs inarizaki... But that's pretty much it. It felt like you could have taken him off and nothing would change.

I genuinely can't name a single memorable thing he did vs nekoma and kamomedai, except that one lucky service ace he got against kamomedai.

Like, even daichi, who generally stays in the background and provides stability and defense, had a more memorable moment with the point scored with his leg, and that double save in the same match.

Asahi and Hinata were the sole reason kamomedais block was finally broken through. Also on topic of asahi, nekoma used the same defense for him that karasuno used for ushiwaka, which felt very refreshing to see, just how far out whimpy ace got. Also the frozen in air, the block crusher, the intentional waterfall, the 'lets get one point' moment. After a long time, asahi finally got some shine from furudate.

Hinata and kageyama were.... Well, Hinata and kageyama. They ot the mc treatment as always.

Tsukishima had that duking out with kuroo, the spear and shield moment alongside yamaguchi, and no block moment too.

But what about Tanaka?

I can be wrong, but I just read the manga again yesterday and I did not see any noteworthy moments.

What do you think? Did furudate lessen the attention Tanaka got?​

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately! For example:
Bokuto: He’s 17, and while he’s definitely dramatic and a bit childish (which is why we love him!), that doesn't mean he depends on Akaashi for *everything*.
He’s still a powerhouse athlete and his own person!
But there are definitely more characters I could mention, but I’ll keep it short for now. Just to be clear, I’m only talking about a certain part of the fandom, not everyone! Does anyone else feel the same way?

I'm so excited for the next Haikyuu movie especially the part where we see their post timeskip lives especially Kenma.

CEO/Streamer/Trader etc.etc. I've watched battle of the garbage dump 5 times and never got tired of it and rewatched the 2nd season when I feel sad.

I do hope that they also animate the Haikyuu-Bu spinoff.
