Saw someone post a montage on here and got a bit nostalgic so I thought I'd leave two montages here I made back in the day if anyone is interested. Not a great editor sorry about that <3

Let's look back at what the battle royale world looked like 8 or 9 years ago. Nobody cared about K/D ratios or ranks; everyone just played the game. And they played it because it generated memories—memories that are now long gone.
But I’d give anything for just one moment to go back to that time. To hear "China number one" again, to see everyone waving their hands in the air, or to feel that rush of the first win of the day while listening to your friends hype up the crazy plays they just made.
Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about how games come and go. Some have already ended, and some are just straight-up trash now. But I truly believe H1Z1 shouldn't have ended the way it did. It deserved to die slowly and beautifully, just like any other legendary game—not because the developers decided to make a move that the entire community begged them not to.
One last thing I’ve been wondering about: has anyone ever thought about starting a petition or even buying the rights to reopen the servers? I feel like if they saw people still care, they’d turn them back on. Though, of course, they’d have to agree to certain conditions.

I started cleaning one of my gmails that hasn't been touched for years and found this promotional email from the PS4 version with a gif YT thumbnail. Man, time flies as hell.

To the Developers and Caretakers of H1Z1,
I am writing this not just as a player, but as someone who vividly remembers the absolute adrenaline rush that this game brought to the world. Long before the battle royale genre became a saturated, billion dollar industry, there was H1Z1. You didn't just make a game; you pioneered an entirely new era of competitive gaming.
We still remember the chaotic, mic spamming energy of the Box of Destiny. We remember the distinct, deeply satisfying sound of a clean two tap with the AR 15. There was a raw, unforgiving, and incredibly rewarding skill gap that modern battle royales have completely abandoned in their attempts to cater to everyone. Today's games might have shinier graphics, endless loot pools, or crazy movement mechanics, but none of them have the grit, the tension, or the genuine thrill of dodging a police car and taking a frantic shotgun fight in the middle of Pleasant Valley or Cranberry.
The current gaming landscape is crowded, but it is missing its soul. Players are exhausted by overcomplicated gimmicks, respawn tokens, and AI bots. There is a massive, untapped nostalgia and a genuine craving for a return to the roots of the genre. We just want that classic, gritty, Pre Season 3 feel back.
The servers might be quiet right now, but the community hasn't forgotten. The player base is still out here, playing other games but always comparing them to the one that started it all, just waiting for a reason to parachute back in.
Please, consider reviving H1Z1. Roll back to the classic mechanics that made us fall in love with it, strip away the unnecessary changes that bogged it down, and let the community breathe life back into the servers. Give us the chance to show you that the King of the Kill isn't dead yet.
Let us drop in one more time.

Tried hopping on a few different times and there's always like 5 people per lobby and a very reduced map size :/ is there any hope ? Or a server that is still active

From the very first moment I awkwardly parachuted into the chaotic, zombie-infested world of Z1, I knew you were something special. You were raw, you were unforgiving, and you were absolutely beautiful.
Do you remember the glory days of the perfect AR-15 two-tap? I still dream about that crisp, satisfying dink of a makeshift helmet flying off in the distance. We spent countless hours cruising across the map in stolen police cars, sirens blaring, fueled by nothing but adrenaline and the primal fear of the toxic gas closing in.
You didn't just give me a battle royale; you gave me proximity chat masterpieces, the frantic rush of tearing up shirts for bandages, and the heart-pounding terror of a shotgun fight in the tight corners of Pleasant Valley.
Other games have come along over the years, dressed up with fancy building mechanics or shiny new graphics, but none of them could ever replace the rugged, unapologetic thrill of our time together. You were the pioneer that stole my heart, and you built the foundation of the genre I love.
I will forever hold a permanent, golden slot for you in my inventory.
Yours eternally in the safe zone,
A Survivor

As an avid DayZ player, and general gamer over all.... still miss the good ol H1Z1 days. Even with all the mods and maps and changes on DayZ, it still doesnt compare to the feel of playing on H1Z1. And none of the players from there, at this point, play together anywhere else it seems, and quite a few no longer even remember playing the game at all.... come back good ol h1z1 Just Survive! Revive yourself to meet todays gaming base!

Title. I’m looking to get the One Eye Closed, Popping Those Noggins, and No Gibs for You trophies on this game and it would be a lot easier if I had a boosting partner to go into solo lobbies with. I would help you with whatever trophies you need as well. If you’re still playing this game and want to get the 100% like me, add me on PS5: That_One_Guy2100
Thanks guys!

A cross-Discord server matchmaking bot is now available to be invited to your Discord servers.
It enables communities to easily connect through the matchmaking and helps fill H1Z1 lobbies.
You launch H1Z1, join the matchmaking lobby, decide together when to start, then queue in-game.
Acquire crates and skins, earn Credits, Scrap, Crowns and Skulls, unlock achievements and more...
⮞ Click here to invite the H1Z1 Hub Discord Bot. ⮜
Let's begin building up the player base to a point where everyone's able to enjoy the game again.
If you ever wanted to experience the old Z1 map again, this is your opportunity. The original hosted server developer has kindly offered to host a league and other games using his server. Look forward to more news about that on the official H1Z1 Hub Discord server.
