I'm actually not a big fan of the squares but i got this for a pretty good price and i must say it's just awesome.

I got my son a G-Shock for his graduation last year (a Casioak).

I finally got one for myself, an early birthday gift from my wife. It was a pre-order from FirstClass Watches and wasn't supposed to be available until August. It arrived 2 days ago.

My very first watch was a Texas Instruments digital watch that my dad gave me when I was about 6 or 7 (I'll be 53 next month). He always made sure all four of us siblings each had a watch while growing up. I'm one of those who feel naked leaving the house without a watch. How tech has advanced so much since then!

After having been on 50+mm smartwatches the past few years, my first impression of this is, it's tiny! It's so much smaller than I imagined. While the stock strap is nice, I couldn't get it to fit right (hole spacing isn't right for me), so I got a combi bracelet knock-off from AE. I'll be experimenting with some fabric bands too, as well as try FKM straps with an adapter.

I'm looking forward to having this watch for a long time.

For reference, my wrist circumference is 17 cm (approximately 6.75 inches).

Ok im not trolling at all. But why do they even make a negative display. It is almost impossible to read the time. Can some please convince me im wrong

Newest addition...really liking the color scheme and it passed the diagnostics. Came with full kit and couldn't be happier.

First G-Shock on right (GA-710GB bought for wedding) I’ve used daily at the shop and haven’t adjusted the time in a month or so (4 seconds fast). Tough as nails through the spatter and knocks. Only ‘gripe’ is the yellow button, however it is my wedding watch so I plan on new glass and modding to a black button someday. Is also my first watch ever.

Second G-Shock would be (far left) GST-B1000D bought for everyday wear outside of shop. Love the minimalistic look/size and third hand. Can’t beat solar as well. Still looking for a problem to have.

Third G-Shock will be the GST-B400GB (middle) purchased this week as my shop watch reliever. Solar, Bluetooth, steel with carbon guard, and two analog hands easily readable at any angle under the gloves (if I need the date then I can spare a second to see the sub-par MIP).

All resting on a custom ‘G-Steel’ stand (stainless steel base with 1.5”x2”x6” square conduit as watch rest)

TLDR: G-Shocks can withstand prod/fab shop life, you could even say the G-Shop life 🤙🏻

So I’m happy to report the temp gauge seems to be spot on. I checked it in the hot tub and then the cold plunge. The sign on the wall reads 57f for the cold plunge. No sign for hot tub but the maint guys says it’s 103-104. Spot on.

Picked up a used rangeman today and wow .. I'm very impressed with the technology lol. Gave it a good wash and cleaned it up. I'll probably end up getting a new one .. or a mudman.

Definitely a bit heavier than my other gshocks BUT I like the weight. I'm impressed with the tech on it.

I see what the hype is now. I'm sold.
