Discussion Thread Struggling with season 5 (spoilers) Spoiler

Upvotes

About halfway through season 5 and I’m really bummed and disappointed with it I hate the Eve plot line, hate the Adalind & Nick and baby plot line not loving the black claw thing .I miss the crime story aspect, which has become something that feels like an afterthought mostly, I’m disappointed ADD how fid a show that had such tight writing for every episode held your interest and made you wanna know what was gonna happen next became some thing I’m watching hoping that it gets good again which I I’m ,also wondering if this community can tell me whether or not it does?

Self When does Grimm get really good?

OK, I’m trying to watch Grimm for the second time meaning the first time I only made it to episode three now I’m on episode 11 of season one and I’m still struggling to get into it but I really wanna get into it so is this normal like season one just feels like a case of case with nothing really going on for the characters?

What season do you think it gets really good?

Discussion Thread The show is too funny

Sometimes the show just has the funniest moments.

Season 6 episode 7 being one of them. Diana having the most fun being kidnapped, Sean being worried only for a second about Diana being kidnapped and then knowing Diana will wreak havoc, the whole getting hexed thing and Hank falling in love with himself, things that happened when Nick became Sean. Or Monroe freaking out about Diana being weird.

Spoilers Sean’s motive Spoiler

Sean doesn’t seem to have an ideology. He is just power hungry. In season 6 it just seams like he doesn’t want to loose. He seemed hesitant when black claw first approached him, but after choosing that side, he just doesn’t want to loose.
I’m surprised though how emotional and insane he seems. He must have been really sure, that there would be a new world order. He seemed more insane in season 5/6 than when he was possessed by the coins.

Same with Diana, he never seemed to really love her and want a family. It’s more possessive behavior than fatherly love. Granted, Diana isn’t the typical daughter either.

On a funny note: I would have loved to see Sean’s mother coming back. Like ripping him a new one. I mean black claw kidnapped her grand daughter, Sean didn’t say anything.

Spoilers Doors reference S03E19

The episode opens with Renard drinking alone in a bar, he's written "Diana" on a napkin, then finishes his drink, crumples up the napkin, and leaves, when we see the bar's name on the window - Morrison Hotel, The Doors' 5th album. Just thought it was interesting - I'm guessing there's a set designer somewhere that's a Doors fan.

I'm rewatching grimm again and on god was this lady underutilized. The first time we see her she casually slows down time and brings her son back to life. I mean this was one appearance, imagine what else she can do. But then again she could probably deal with that zerstorer guy herself so i get why they didn't put her in that fight. It's still kind of annoying she is just never mentioned again.

Spoilers My problems when it comes to Eve. Spoiler

Never been a fan of them turning Juliette into Eve. Her character just feels so forced.

One I don’t like how quickly the Grimm Gang trusts her and let her become part of the group. She may not know she is Juliette anymore, but that doesn’t erase all the terrible actions she done. She didn’t redeem herself.

And the turned her into this overpowered super Hexenbiest. Who has a lot of knowledge and let connections to the stick. The writers had a perfect Hexienbiest right there with Adalind, a Hexenbiest and the mother of Diana, a character who is really connected to what’s happening later.

Discussion Thread Renard…

So spoiler alert on the following S3 E1-3

You guys remember when Nick got sprinkled that dust on him from the “voodoo” guy that was working with the royals and became aggressive. How he killed a guy on the bar and then Renard wiped out the camaras but kept an USB with the clip hidden. Why didn’t he use that in season 6 to make Nick get arrested and make people hate him.

I’m still on S6 E1, hate Renard more than ever.

I met most of the cast at Scarefest in Lexington last October. They were seriously so genuine and kind and wanted to get to know me. They were absolutely shocked and so appreciative I watched the show from beginning to end while it was live. If you have the time and means, I 110% recommend any type of panel with them. Such cool and down to Earth people!
We even found out my mom and David went to the same grade school. They had a bonding moment lol

Self Grimm kept 3 generations of my family very close

Just a Grimm appreciation post. When the season 1 finale of Grimm was airing on TV, I was sleeping over my grandparents' place. I never saw the show, but loved that episode. When i went back home the next day, i binged it to get caught up. My mom started watching it with me during my binge, and she enjoyed it too.

When season 2 aired, it was me, my mom, and my grandparents watching every episode over their house. When my grandpa died, the entire family stopped associating with eachother. We still went over to my grandma's house to watch Grimm every week. Grimm was so good that me and my mom still talked with my grandma while all her other kids didnt really talk to her outside family events or rare occasions. even though we all lived within 2 minutes of walking

After Grimm ended, i practically lived at my grandma's whenever it wasnt a school night. Because me and her watched Grimm every few months.

Amazing show

I’m at the end of the series 6.11 and Nick and Eve have a moment where they talk about how everything happened for a reason and they can go back. Eve walks away and Nick walks up and says “Eve.-“ but they get disrupted. What do you think he was going to say…?

Spoilers Wu and romance Spoiler

Remember the seven year bug and the very pretty wesen who turned into a cute l'il hippo that bit the bug's head off and spit it out?

I liked her snarky comment about what does a girl have to do to find a nice guy in this town, and how casual she was about Nick being a Grimm.

I think her snarky streak matches Wu's and they would make an adorable couple.

Spoilers Adalind finances

After leaving for Vienna the first time Adalind seems to be dependent on other people for everything. She doesn’t have a job after leaving the law firm, she only got paid or had her expenses paid by the royals for a while.

She seems to have no savings or anything. She doesn’t seem to have more clothes, furniture or anything. She seems literally homeless besides the storage unit from her mom.

What do you think?

Is it like college debt? How does she have nothing to her name besides the clothes on her back basically.

Discussion Thread Wu should have gotten a spinoff series

Watching for the first time, Season 3 ep 5 so far.

Poor Wu the butt monkey of the series.

I think the actor does a good job and he deserves a spinoff series solving non-wessen related crimes.

Wierd crimes that look like they might be wesen related but they are not.

Self Just realized something....

SPOILER ALERT!!!

Watching the episodes that involve smoking the hat. Monroe made a mention of something that dawned on me.... Adalind smokes it and gets pregnant with Kelly. Eve smokes it and we allllllll know how that turned out. Nick smokes it and..... what are his repercussions? Yeah, he had trouble turning back but could that REALLY BE ALL???? I think because it's toward the series end it's a plot line that had soooo much potential that was never realized. 🤔🤔🤔

Discussion Thread I never thought I’d like the series so much Spoiler

At first, I started watching the series with a bit of uncertainty and reluctance, but as the episodes went by, it kept getting better and better, and I grew fond of all the characters. I finished the series yesterday and can't believe how much I cried. I would have loved to meet the triplets and see more of Adaline and Nick. I would watch it a thousand times over.

But digging a little deeper, the truth is I came away with the feeling that everything has a religious dimension—or something like that—and I can't stop thinking about how I now see everyone as if they were Wesen, haha.

Writers Block? Spoiler

Post image
68 Upvotes

What are your thoughts on Henrietta? She was so powerful she could tell Adeline was pregnant. She was so powerful that she could scramble her phone number or address if it was written down. However, Jack the Ripper comes in and takes her out in 3 seconds?? I feel like the writers had big plans for her character but they lost them along the way.
