Years ago, a friend gave me a vibe cutting and I put it in water. Then it sprouted and after some months put it in a potter. We dont have much yard space so that was the only option. It's been 6-7 years, and after years of repotting to bigger and bigger potters, it blossomed a lot this year. I didn't think much of it, in fact I thought the flowers would either wither after the first summer heat in Madrid. However, they thrived and here we are today. So thrilled and hope this can inspire others, to start or carry on the journey!🍇

I’ve lived in this house for over 8 years and the old owners had a huge grape vine covering the whole backyard. My family took down the support but there was still remains of it. It’s been taking over the fence and I wanted to grow them back and decided to trim them following some guide online. I was wondering how did I do and if you guys have any tips. The grapes turn purple, they are seeded and taste almost like mangos. Thank you guys so much and it’s my first time working with grapes. The final picture is the end result

The googler says it's a green June beetle. About a week ago when I checked my plant there were lots of small grapes. Noticed a bunch of these metallic beetles around lately and checked on the grapes today to find empty stems.

It’s an “Oh My!” Muscadine I bought from a local shop. I unraveled it and gave it a better trellis earlier in the year and now I just have a sprawling blob I don’t know how to help lol

Fighting the humid weather here in southern NH. Concord vine looks great, but the St Theresa grapes are on the smaller side. Overall I'm pretty happy with my third season. Thomcord and Himrod will hopefully produce next season.

I am in Piedmont NC and we have been in a drought since last fall. Got decent fruit clusters this year. Just went out a few days ago and my two vines were almost picked clean! Tried one of the grapes and it was not bitter. They are a bit on the small side. This is all that was left and I decided to pick them before the hoard of cardinals I have been watching finish them off. Anyone else have this happen? They usually don’t ripen till August/september

Weather here (Michigan, USA) lately has been excessively hot/humid, and my Marquis vine seems to have a few dozen grapes that look like this appearing every day. I am guessing I wasn't aggressive enough on fungal sprays at fruit set. Is this black rot? Anything I can do now besides removing them and looking forward to next year? Thanks!

Did some heavy pruning of some old muscadines back in the winter and getting the first actual clusters I've ever seen on them now. Had lots of aphids in the spring, and ants going after the aphids, but didn't seem like too much harm. Now as some grapes start to turn, there's a new grape being eaten by ants every other day or so.

How do you deal with ants? Also, is it likely the ants are eating their way in, or are those grapes maybe rupturing (heat, pressure since the clusters seem very tight to me, idk) and then the ants are being attracted to the open fruit?

I’m in central TX and it’s summer. I’m going to transplant this grape vine in the winter. When I do so I’m going to cut it back to 10-24 inches and begin to train it as a bonsai.

I'm growing a Catawba grapevine. They are only 3 months old as I planted them as a bare root back in April. I use Burpee Organic potting mix.

I live in Maryland and sometimes use a 30% shade cloth when the temps get above 90, as my balcony gets the evening sun.

This is my first time growing grapes and I'm not sure what's wrong with them.

This grape plant growing in zone 9b in Florida is growing so straight out and to the side reaching to the dragonfruit plant, it seems past the point of training up. Wondering if we should snip this one branch back? I know most pruning is usually done in winter, so don’t want to hurt the plant or do something wrong by snipping in Summer.

If so, any special way to prune? Like a certain angle or so many leaves back or anything? Thanks in advance!

Hi all. Received some cuttings from a winemaker friend in Capadocia. Not sure the variety. I want to start a small vineyard. I planted them in half sand, half dirt mix in early spring and this is their current state.

Weather on my mountainside property (elevation 400meters) is hot and dry, 33c daytime, 24c nights. Winters are mild, although temps can hover around 3-4c for a few weeks with the occsional -2c nights. We might not see substantial rain for a couple of months. Timered drip irrigation or hand watering is not a problem.

What would be the best time of year to put them in the ground? I can wait until spring, but it would likely mean up potting them. I'd prefer to put them in the ground.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hey all and thanks in advance for any help y’all have. I have this grape vine I planted last year, and in the springtime it was growing great! However it looks like something might be wrong based on the leaves, whatever it is started a few weeks ago. Any ideas?

We bought this homestead 3 years and it came with this monstrous grape (supposedly a Boskoop Glory cultivar). Seems to be doing good with plenty of production, for now at least. Come winter, should I cut down some of the longer branches?

What is this disease? Should I destroy and start over? Bad fruit set. Vines dying back from the tips, leaves blackening from the edge.

Same white spots on the underside of the leaves and it has been very hot and wet here, so I’m thinking it’s the downy mildew. Does that seem right? I sprayed with copper fungicide but I have neem oil as well if that doesn’t work.
