I'm house shopping with a friend and almost universally the photos on listings are deceptive. They are so color enhanced and stretched that they don't look like the same property. It's like using heavy face filters on a dating profile. Realtors?

Rehome**** Hi, I’m needing to rehome an extremely sweet cat. I took her in after a friend had a family emergency and needed to leave town. Unfortunately my landlord has changed her mind about me being able to have a cat I the home. I’m really torn apart about it and don’t want her to have to sit in a shelter. Does anyone know a good home looking for a very sweet girl

sorry about the image quality my phones broken lol

Fyi there is a short leg husky mix looking dog running around the Redlands in independence ranch neighborhood. It wouldn't let me get close to see if it has a collar. If anyone knows of a missing dog it might be this one

Anybody know what that was about? A bridge over Glenwood Springs, and one at No Name, had uniformed men kinda just lined up, and emergency vehicles with two fire trucks holding up an American flag. I passed east through it at around 9:30 A.M or so. They didn't seem to be talking, or holding any signs, they kinda all seemed at military attention. I didn't see or notice it on the way back through at about 12 P.M.

Hey I’m curious about starting a restaurant out here and was wanting to see if the community would have interest in Korean street foods. Ex Korean Fried Chicken, tteokbokki, bulgogi, and desert like Dubai chewy cookies. Additionally seeing if there would be interest in it being a late night spot being that there arnt to many spots here that go late. Just looking for feedback and thank you for your time reading this!

Does Colorado Springs have programs to help people get there?
I’ve been a victim of financial abuse and entrapment for my entire life and have dreamed of coming to Colorado, recently after mending my mental health I’ve built the courage to try and go for it. Right now i am being threatened with my place to live wayyy down here in Floridia! I’m just wondering maybe if anyone here knows if there are assistance programs in Colorado that would help me stabilize there? I read the rules and I couldn’t find anything like this so I’m hoping it is okay. I have various diagnosed disabilities and have 3 dogs including an esa gsd, a bassethound mix and a 15 year old chihuahua mix. I’m only 21 and am just now recovering from my entire life of psychological abuse from everyone around me. So I’ve got a very unique situation and honestly am at a crossroads where i want to get there but don’t know how since I cannot do it without public assistance! I am really interested in attending college and I have but it was against my will and still is so my gpa is really really bad because I was in no state to do classes while managing stress and everything else going on.
If Grand Junction isn’t a good place where would you recommend? I have enough savings to pay for the first 3 months of rent assuming it isn’t crazy expensive. (Florida rent where I am is $2800 a month, I was forced against my will to move here)
My credit isn’t amazing I’m right in the 640 650 range because of the continuous financial abuse I face everyday I am here.
Anyways any help from yall would be appreciated my friend asked me to post here and said Colorado folk are really friendly. So yeah thank you all very much.

Since it's Sunday, library options are limited, along with some cafes being closed til Monday.
Where is the next best place to sit and work on a laptop for ~3 hours? Eastern GJ preferred.
Please don't say Copeka - I know it's popular however I've already ruled it out from past experience lol.

Just because you have a GREEN light does not mean you have entire right of way, esp when turning with an unprotected left. you yield to oncoming traffic. this intersection makes me want to rip my hair out.

It is a big weekend across the valley. The Mesa County Fair hits its final day today with a Monster Truck Show at the Fairgrounds (1:00 PM & 7:30 PM).
Palisade is packed with vineyard concerts and Sunday’s Carboy Summer Craft Fair, while downtown Grand Junction has the Cross Orchards Farmers Market, Triple Play Records sessions, and 40 Oz to Freedom (Sublime Tribute) tonight at the Mesa Theater.
Here is the quick day-by-day cheat sheet of what's going on so you can plan your weekend: https://www.westernslopetrellis.com/this-weekend-on-the-western-slope-july-17-19/
(Road trip note: The 140th Montrose County Fair also kicks off this weekend with the big Fair Parade downtown Friday night and Team Roping Saturday at 5 PM!)
What are your plans this weekend? Anything we missed? Let us know below!

I'm trying to get on SSI as a 30-year-old with diagnosed Level 1 autism And ADHD. I have a Bachelor's degree but struggled to get a job in my field, thanks in part to various difficulties in the job application process.
I have already reached out to the Center for Independent Living and TrajectorDisability (national org), but I would really like to work particularly with an advocate that has experience working with clients who have Level 1 autism (and preferably ADHD) as this presents a unique challenge with getting approved for SSI.
I also looked into STRiVE and Ariel but those organizations don't really do that sort of thing.

Hey! we just bought a house and the radon test levels came back high during the inspection. Not a huge big deal, we will get it mitigated.
It did make me wonder though, because the house was built in the late 80’s and all this time people have lived there with high radon levels?
I know you can just open a window and it takes care of the problem, but are people really leaving their windows open during the winter?

Curry and sushi (any kind:Japanese, Indian, Nepali, etc)
Specific curry dish I’ve been craving: Katsu curry
Pasta carbonara
Tamales
Peruvian
